Pinky Bungalows Resort

It was very good value. The was a small clean swiming pool nice to cool down and a little safe place for children. Outside many restaurants and bars we took a tuc tuc to the night market 600 batt there and back good value. A nice hotel perfect when your out all day and just need to sleep.

I though by the photos in booking .com it was a lot bigger and the pool was a lot bigger. But it was not bad .

Nice quiet place to stay , big pool and clean spacious rooms . Good location for the beach and lots of restaurants nearby

We really enjoyed our stay at pinky bungalows The pool was a nice touch and clean, the bed was comfy, and a good size. Cleaned the room everyday to a high standard, good location. At the bottom of the hill from the hotel there is a tourist desk where you can book day trips with a lovely lady. Rent a moped from her, it’s really good value for money.

The facilities that are listed were unavailable when we asked for them, we wanted laundry and a moped and they couldn’t provide either of these despite them advising this.

Their cleaning is questionable. Staff feel and act so false! As for their bikes/scooters they are death traps. The breaks do not work and they are made of tin foil, especially on the Lanta roads as they are terrible. The mother charged me a large sum of money claiming the scooter will require repairs for a previous stay. Upon my return not one single repair had been made at all. The bike brakes were never EVER fixed. And the body work of the scooters are still scratched and banged up or near falling apart. It’s an EXTORTION RACKET! Do not rent or stay there at all. Furthermore, they have split pinky’s into 2 places. The place next for fell under Pinky’s and now they are trying to charge double for the exact same room. In my opinion, there are far better options on Lanta with much better service and locations.

Loved it here. The staff were wonderful and the accommodation clean and comfortable. Pool was lovely.

Super clean and spacious bungalows. The staff are friendly. We even had monkeys on our balcony a couple of times during our stay. Scooter Bike rental was reasonable, bike didn't have any faults. Resort is close to plenty of restaurants and about 10 min walk from the beach.

It’s a place with potential if the details and service would be looked into. The location and the surroundings around the bungalows is nice. The maids were also very nice.

I had a rocky start at the accommodation, as I couldn’t sleep for the first 2 nights as there was some sort of animal(?) stuck in the roof of my bungalow which made sleeping impossible. I got a replacement bungalow for the other nights, however I can imagine that messed up other people’s bookings. Also, the new place had a kitchenette but it was unusable as there were no utilities, not even a bottle opener.The place lacked shelving, in the bathroom nowhere to hang towels or put your toiletries, just lacking simple things like that which could really improve the stay. Also, in that bungalow I couldn’t change the water temperature. There’s also no breakfast/restaurant area, which would be nice. I felt the owner was sometimes rude and the other staff didn’t really speak English. Overall, they advertise as a 4-star hotel, but it really is 2-stars (on Google also says so) so I feel for the money, it’s not really value for it.

We stayed in a bungalow in the resort, which was a great experience. The staff was very friendly, and it felt very familiar. Breakfast was served to the terrasse. You can book any tour directly in the hotel and rent a motoscooter for little money. The hotel is not directly at the beach but very close. All in all, a great stay.

There is nothing I really did not like. The sheets and towels had stains, which can be off-putting to some guests, but then again, if this bithers you, you should probably not travel to this part of the world.Oh and maybe the coffee. Next investment of the hotel should be a good espresso machine...

It was a really cute hotel. It provided a lot of services such as laundry and booking onward travel. It has an onsite cafe for snacks, coffee and drinks. Nice to have a pool. Walkable to the beach.

It could use some minor maintenance. The door to my room was difficult to engage due to a bent/broken strike pad. The cushions around the pool could use replacing. Having breakfast included would have been nice especially since there was no coffee provided in the room.There also seemed some confusion about my booking. I was put in a bungalow at what I later realized was a different hotel right next to Pinky. The next day an employee from that hotel informed me that I had to move rooms as Pinky’s had asked them to have me there one night. She was under the impression that I had been informed of this. I had not been and had unpacked so had pack back up and move. Also that first night I came back from dinner to find that on the property just behind my unit they were burning dry branches. Several other guests were out watching. When I expressed safety concerns I didn’t feel very good understood. I’m know they have a burning season here but did not expect it in the islands during high season in a heavily inhabited area. I believe it was the owner of the first property to whom I spoke. It was windy and dry so I believe my concern was justified. The rest of the staff also appeared concerned and surprised it was happening.Overall it just made for a bad start to my stay. I would have appreciated being informed that I would have to move after the first night and also given a bit of a break on the bill.

Pinky Bungalow is an absolutely fantastic place! MamaNong is irreplaceable – despite the overbooking, she did everything to make sure we were happy, and she succeeded 100%. Thanks to her advice and help, we went on two boat trips, discovered less crowded beaches, and chose our next destination. The breakfasts were delicious, and the room and bathroom were clean and very comfortable. There is also a pool on the property, and the whole space is beautifully arranged, which adds to the charm of this place. Highly recommended!

We just stayed at Pinky Bungalow for the second time in 14 months and it will always have a special place in our hearts. Mama Nong makes you feel at home and can organise anything you might possibly need whilst on the island. We’ve now stayed in two different room types and both were absolutely perfect and great value for money. Location is perfect for us as there are restaurants etc a short walk away, plus it’s a perfect middle ground for exploring all parts of the island on a scooter. Whenever we return to Koh Lanta in the future, we will 100% stay at Pinky.

The maids were great

I booked here for 1 week, solo, to chill at the end of my trip. Id booked a room, and on arrival I was told I was being given a "free upgrade" to a bungalow, obviously they had over sold the rooms which were the cheaper option and had to fit me in somewhere. I stayed here last year too and the rooms are far better than the bungalows in my opinion so i actually received a downgrade. On arrival I was told I had to pay cash because the card machine was broken, I was told the same thing last year when staying here too, so they are advertising a pay by card option which clearly isn't an option and meant I had to withdraw a big amount of money from the atm and pay the withdrawal fee. Anyway, I had a scary experience with a tuk tuk driver on night 1 and due to the hotel being in a secluded area I wanted to leave, as my only transport option was the tuk tuks and I didnt want to get back in one. I was in the bungalow at the furthest end on the left hand side. The doors didn't lock well from the inside, and there were rats in my ceiling which I could here early morning and early evening. I didn't feel safe here. I spoke to the main lady the next morning and said if I leave after 2 nights, could I pay less than full price (I had booked a book now pay later option and hadn't paid at this point as I needed to get cash out). I know my ask isn't ideal but the price to stay here had tripled since I had booked, so they would have made more money out of it anyway. The lady told me they was fully booked so couldn't do this, which makes no sense. She said if anyone tries to book she will let me know. Anyway I never seen her again. The pool tiles are green which makes for an unsightly view of the pool as the unusual colour choice makes the pool look filthy (maybe it was) I didn't see anyone in the pool whilst I was here

The gardens were lovely.The massage (next door) was exceptional.The cafe (next door) was good for early breakfast with great staff.The superb restaurant (Thai Smile 2 doors down).After a bumpy start, the manager and staff of Pinky were actually quite nice.

On check in, even though on Booking.com it says you can pay with a credit card, but the manager will INSIST on CASH ONLY by saying the machine is broken. She allowed us to check in and pay the next day. There is a cash machine nearby with a £6 fee.Poolside pink beds aren't clean.Cold shower, some maintenance needed in the bathroom.

We loved our stay - we stayed for 6 nights and could easily have stayed longer. Mama Nong is absolutely amazing and helpful, making you feel welcome and like a part of the family.We will definitely come back next time we visit Koh Lanta!

Such a fun spot to stay, lots of vibrant colours. Nice pool area & good cocktails! WiFi was great, just the in room instructions are old (hence the lower score I guess) just use reception code & it’s perfect.

Mamanong is lovely. The location is great. We slept well!

The WiFi wasn’t great

Very big and clean hotel and rooms. Excellent terrace outside of the bungalow. Mama Nong who is the manager is awesome. Heart and soul of that hotel. She helps you what ever you need.

Pool was a bit small and would be good to have something in the room where to hang your clothes

Beds were big.

The sliding doors were lock by a big padlock, had to lock and open in the dark.
