Lanta Palm Beach Resort

I booked 2 rooms, upon arrival they said they only had 1 room but still wanted to charge us the same. I got into an argument with the staff and they said I had to leave the property or they would call the police. I strongly recommend to not stay here.

Right on the beach, 80 meters/ yards from my door. Laundry service was useful and reasonably priced. Bar and restaurant onsite made meals easy to get.

Lost my room key. The resort charged me $40 USD, even though it had to be in cash and I know he was going to just duplicate the maid's key.

The location

Communication difficult, 170 euro /night not a good value for money. Breakfast included but very limited . New years eve dinner wrapped up at 22.00 and obliged to leave to the next bar.

The room was great, a little bungalow, aircon, nice size, outdoor area, clean bathroom, fridge. The location was insane, literally a stones throw from the beach

We booked through booking.com and though we had paid online prior, on arrival, they asked for proof of payment which we showed on booking.com. They said this wasn't good enough and they needed to see the payment in our banking app. The phone was dead so we had to wait half an hour for it to charge up for us to check. They need a better system to do this, it's insane

Structure with big potential but looked like going to be abandoned soon. Bungalows are good dimensions and pretty comfortable if it wasn’t for the fact that everything looked obsolescent inside the rooms and toilets pretty in bad conditions. Location is great though, the adjacent beach was beautiful the restaurant and massage place on the beach was a great plus!

A basic restyle and restoration would bring it to become a number one resort. The lobby is hidden and doesn’t really look like a resort lobby, is more like a camping with bungalow. Reception service pretty sloppy not very friendly

Room close to a nice beach and 2 restaurants. Easy access to the main road. Large room.

When we arrived, we had to return the bedsheets to the reception because they were not clean (either not cleaned properly or not changed from the previous night).

Great place to stay, walking distance straight to beach and bars. Nice side of island to stay on, quiet. Room comfortable and clean but perhaps a bit outdated.

Pretty nice hotel near the beach. We enjoyed the breakfast while we were there!

Amazing location right off the beach, nice comfortable accommodation nothing fancy but great for the price. They also had a spare family suite available for the time we had booked so upgraded us free of charge, staff were also super helpful and lovely.

There were some ants in the room not really an issue though

This place has old knocked up furniture, it’s old, feel dirty due to the oldness of it . I know it’s high season and prices are higher, but this is way too expensive for what it looks like currently. Reception also wanted to charge me an extra 4% for using a credit card, on top of the ‘agreed ‘ price thru booking.com, l refused, and she backed down. Air con is loud had to sleep with ear plugs.

lots of mosquitos in my room on arrival. i got bitten everywhere when sleeping at night. Lots of other bugs crawling around my room too

Location, right next to the Beach and restaurants. Nice staff. Good restaurant.

Direct access to the beach. Close to restaurants, where we also got to enjoy fire shows in the evenings. Friendly staff. Breakfast was served a la carte.

The bathrooms are a bit dated and could benefit from some renovations.

Beautiful location, great accommodation right by the beach and some great bars and restaurants. Easy walk to ATM and mini mart. Wonderful staff. Would recommend a trip to old lanta. Perfect and best stay so far in Thailand. Thank you for your hospitality

I love this hotel, its simple and literally on the best beach. The rooms are very basic, but a good size and its proximity to the beach and all the bars is great. The staff are lovely too...

Ok this is difficult as I came here last year and would have given it a completely different review, we paid under 2000 THB (around £40) for a family room, which was perfect for three adults and sensible value. Unfortunately they have put the prices up so much this year, that it is not a good value for money, these are simple and very standard bungalows, which should be 1500/2000 THB (at high season), this year they were around 4000 THB (nearly £100) a night for a normal double bungalow, and that is ridiculous. The soap and towels are terrible, the aircon barely worked, the curtains were falling off, the general feel of the place was basic at 4 Star prices... It just needs a complete renovation and a pool if they are going to charge that amount.. They really need to up their game for next year if they are going to charge those prices.. Also this is for room only, there is no breakfast...

Beautiful island, fabulous accommodation right on the beach with some nice bars and restaurants in front. Helpful staff, easy walk to atm mini mart. Would recommend a tuk tuk to old town. Best stay in Thailand so far

Nothing it was perfect

The beach was lovely. Massage lady’s on the beach at a good price and very skilled. Don’t get a pedicure as it was a joke.

The room was tiny. The towels were very hard to get. No kettle in the room. Air conditioning unit was dirty. We all woke up with coughs until we left the room. The staff had no English apart from reception. The food was awful. Don’t book bed and breakfast. Go elsewhere for food. The drinks were expensive. No to in our room even though it was listed as an amenity. The shower! Oh my goodness it was a Dribble! Anyone with long or even slightly thick hair do not stay here… you will have nowhere to wash away the sea water in less than an hour!
