Adults only is a huge plus in family friendly ko lanta. The property feels like an Oasis and has great beach access without bug crowds

The snorkel tour we booked through the hotel was overcrowded and uncomfortable. I would encourage them to rethink who they partner with on excursions

What didn’t we like! The beach is semi private with only one other property sharing it. It is public so others could walk there, but very few did. This is a less busy area of the island as well, but still has walkable restaurants. The massage right on the beach became a daily ritual for us- must book! The rooms are beautiful with a wonderful view and the staff really made our honeymoon feel special. The gym is new and small but has everything you need. A huge thanks to Nee, Daa, and the whole team. The owners are also on site and very kind. What sets this place apart is the thoughtful service- for example, they bring ice water around during particularly warm parts of the day to you on the beach. Be sure to get the banana shake at breakfast and don’t miss sunset happy hour!

What can we say other than book this spot today! The Bungalows are all new or newly renovated in the past few years. They are impeccably designed to integrate amenities traveling guests want while also staying true to a Thailand feel. The AC unit worked like a charm!The pool area, beachfront and restaurant areas are very well laid out and so inviting! We didn't want to leave. We enjoyed two massages while on property as well that were wonderful. The massage place is directly overlooking the beach so you can hear the waves crashing. While it is more affordable to get a massage up the road, the fact that you can have it beachside is worth the extra coin. A truly nice touch!The restaurant has ample options for breakfast too! We especially enjoyed the ability to order custom smoothies. Additionally, we ate dinner here the first night of our stay and enjoyed it so much that we ate every meal at the hotel. Loved the Massaman Meatballs, Satay, Shrimp, Cashew Chicken Stir-Fry and Creme Brûlée! The owners are on site and you can sense it. They care. They want the guests to have a memorable experience. They checked in on us, made sure to always say hello. To be honest, we did not want to leave. It was hard saying goodbye to such a wonderful place. We can not wait to return and will tell all our friends to visit here as well!

Thai food could have been a bit spicier and more flavourful. Still good but a bit bland

Words cannot describe our love for the Lanta Palace. We couldn't stop smiling from the moment we arrived. The resort is stunning with beautiful, luxurious, spacious bungalows that have everything you need. The pool area is so peaceful and relaxing. We spent many mornings and afternoons taking constant dips as we watched the palm trees sway and the ocean waves gently roll in whilst reading our books and sipping on a delicious cocktails. The restaurant is sensational! We planned on having some dinners in the local area but ended up eating at the restaurant our entire stay because we couldn't get enough of their incredible food and desserts (there chocolate ice cream is made on site and is easily the best we had ever tasted). The chef is a genius. The breakfasts are stacked with so many local and western options that will suit everyone's tastes. The staff are exceptional and so friendly, sweet and helpful. They truly made our stay so easy and went above and beyond to cater to anything and everything we may need. Special mention to Nee, Rai, Nat, Nok and Rin who were always checking in on us or giving us great advice or just having a friendly chat during our time there. The hotel was also really helpful in arranging day trips and car hire to explore the island. It's highly convenient having all those accomodations available at the front desk. Other things we liked were the massages by the beach, the boardgames and library of books available for guests to read, happy hour at the beachside bar, the beautiful sunsets over the ocean, the lush plants and gardens throughout the resort, the location of the property with a great cafe next door and massage spas across the road. Without a doubt we will return to this wonderful resort that we can not highly recommend enough!

Amazing resort with facilities right on the beach. The owners and staff were all very kind and hospitable, and the food was great. We celebrated my birthday and they went above and beyond. Hope to stay here again someday!

Everything was wonderful - adults only serenity. Sam & Jackie have got all the little details right and the staff are all excellent. Beautiful pool & restaurant area, almost private beach, gorgeous villas. Hope to return one day!

Loved it all

This resort was our first location on our holiday and was the perfect place to relax and decompress. It's a nice size resort, not too big. Eating breakfast and dinner on the beach was lovely. Staff were very helpful. We didn't do much over the course of our three days here, just chilled out, read and snoozed. If that's what you're after I'd highly recommend. If you are looking for more activity you can research a snorkling tour - the marine national park close by has much more pristine beaches with crystal clear water than available on Koh Lanta.

The pool water was sometimes a little warm (we were there over a few very hot days). It would have been nice to be able to refresh in some cooler water - not sure if there's anything the staff can do about this though!

Our stay was nothing short of amazing! The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety, and the beachfront views made it even better. The amenities were top-tier – from the pool to the spa, everything was spotless and luxurious. A perfect escape – can’t wait to come back!

Kitchen, staff, vicinity

One of the best stays we have ever had, no doubt. Exceptional property (clean and awesome location), staff remarkably helpful and friendly and the views from the pool and the restaurant on the beach are just impressive. This is little “heaven” on earth. If you are around, you need to stay there.

Nothing to complain.

The resort was beautiful, the villas were nice and spacious, surrounded by beautiful gardens, and it was very quiet and serene. The restaurant and bar area looked very nice, right on the beach and perfect for watching the sunset while having a drink. Once a week they have live music which we really enjoyed.Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from, a nice atmosphere and fresh fruit smoothies every day.

The beach: Unfortunately, the beach was not as nice as we expected. There were many large rocks in the water and we ended up taking the scooter to nearby beaches that were much more pristine (Nui Beach, Kantiang Beach).The restaurant: Although the location of the restaurant was amazing (sunset dinner at the beach), the food was not great, especially compared to many other restaurants around the resort. The prices were also too high for what it was. We highly recommend trying restaurants like Coco Tango (5 minutes from Lanta Palace) or Phu Pha View Restaurant (15 minutes by scooter) for amazing food and stunning views.The sun chairs seemed quite dirty and some of them were broken.

Lanta Palace is in the top three resorts we have visited over a 50 year travel experience. It is small, personal, beautifully situated, and utterly relaxing. The villas are large and beautifully fitted out, the surrounding gardens lush and green, and the pool of good depth and with a great view. The private beach is lovely. However the highlight for us was the restaurant— cascading over gentle levels onto the sand, it was a magical place particularly at sunset. The food was great—starting with a generous breakfast, and culminating in a beautiful dinner. We normally don’t eat many meals at our resort, favouring various neighbouring restaurants— here, we had every meal at the resort, and enjoyed everyone.

The chair in the room, and the balcony seat, were both uncomfortable—if you wanted to read in the A/C , it meant sitting on the bed

We loved everything about this hotel; the beautiful detached rooms, the pool and beachside location. Enough sun-beds for all guests across the pool area and beach. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and we had food twice from the restaurant; higher prices than out of the hotel but still good value for money. All in all, probably one of the most idyllic, serene and well managed hotels we’ve ever been to. It was like a piece of paradise. Thank you
