Isara Lanta Beach Resort

Food provided on location was exceptional. The owner, Robert, had some delicious cuisine waiting for us when we arrived.I've been to the island several times now and this is by far one of the better experiences I've had. Very comfortable bungalow, amazing mattress, cleaned every day, beach is 10 second walk from door. Exceptional value for service. Highly recommend. Muay Thai gym just across the street, 7/11 nearby, great restaurants, friendly people. 10/10

Some rain but much more sun than I expected onsiderong the season.

Very lovely staff, really enjoyed chilling on the beachside loungers all day long, the food was delicious (try the pad see ew - it is amazing). Rooms are very clean and love that you have a fridge and a little terrace. Very well located near restaurants, bars, shops but still quiet. Sunset views are amazing. Very nice, relaxed vibe.

The only thing we found a bit unusual is that cleaning service would come in between 9-10 am, sometimes we were still sleeping or showering. If you are sensitive towards AC, there is no fan to substitute it for.

This was a nice little hotel that met our needs during our stay on Lanta. The owner, Penny, was very friendly and helpful with laundry and motorbike rental. We requested a double bed room and instead had 2 twin beds, which were not the most comfortable. I think the resort was full for our days booked. Each bungalow had air conditioning, which worked quite well, and screens on the main windows. One recommendation would be to put screens on the cinderblock windows in the bathrooms because mosquitoes could fly in easily if the bathroom door was left open. Also, our shower head holder was broken so it was exclusively hand-held. The property was well-kept with adorable and friendly cats who we enjoyed playing with. It was also quiet from both beach and street noise. The staff cleaned our room thoroughly each day and mopped the floors. The common area had nice cabanas, tables, and bean bags to lounge and was a relaxing and comfortable environment.

The room was nice. It rained a few nights, and I could turn the Air Conditioner off, open the windows (which had screens :) and then fall asleep to the sound of the rain, and gentle breeze.

It was the off season, and for the first 2 nights, I seemed to be the only guest. Which got a bit lonely for a solo traveler.

Penny and Noot made the stay the best, thanks to both of them!!

I think because I went there in the low season there were some nasty old guys in the bar always staring, it did not made me comfortable to sunbath in the beach area.

Great location - right on the beach. Clean rooms, nice fresh white sheets. Cute little veranda with hammock per room.

The property is in an incredible location right along the beach front. Each bungalow has their own terrace which is lovely to sit out on. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Bathroom felt like it was in need of a refresh but all still worked. We found lots of bugs and geckos came through the air vents so not the ideal place to stay if you don’t like bugs.

Bungalow was very clean and comfortable, air con worked superbly. Girl on the front desk was amazingly helpful arranging trips and transfers.

For two days we only had water for the toilet and shower for an hour as they had not had a delivery to their main water tanks which given the heat was not goof for general wellbeing and hygiene.

Very good localization! The owner is helpful, and the staff speaks English. They have their own motorbikes and you do not have to give your passport to the unknown rental company. House is really nice and A/C was working really nice. It is very lovely outside.

Bed was very uncomfortable. It would be great if the hotel could provide hand soap in the guest rooms.

Great value for money. It is in a great location right on the beach, rooms are comfortable and the staff are great!

- Friendly welcome- Lovely resort area, sits right on the beach- Location was pretty good, close to a few decent restaurants - Housekeeping staff were lovely - Bed was comfy, although it was just two singles put together

- Room was very small with basically 0 amenities. - Aircon didn’t work for the majority of our stay even after notifying the owner multiple times. He did get an engineer out to try and fix it, but didn’t change anything. They did however manage to get it fixed by the last night, all they had to do was give it a good clean out and it cooled the room down properly in the end. - Our shower also broke multiple times, the shower head was stuck to the wall with these cheap, black pieces of plastic, fell off the wall in the middle of the night, ripped the hose off the electric shower unit causing the threads to break. Was an ongoing battle the entire stay. - The room is very dark as there is only one small window, not much natural light can get in at all. - The front door did not shut properly so there was a gap in between the door frame and the door, meaning any cold air that was being produced by the faulty air con was seeping out. Also this meant we had loads of tiny ants entering the room- we also had a lot of ants in our bathroom - we had so many issues during this stay which we were both so disappointed with. The place has so much potential if a bit of love and care was put into it. Even things like amenities in the room, basic things like hand soap? - The owner was a little dismissive at first, but he did try his best (in the end) to put right our issues. We appreciated him doing his best.

This is such a cute place at a perfect location! Beautiful views, amazing food and the best staff. Really a hidden gem! Will definitely come back.

The beds in our room need an update. We had two single beds that were very uncomfortable and you could feel many had slept there before as the mattress was not flat. Our bathroom had also a lot of moist and therefore smelled bad. The room next to us had a perfect double bed and no bathroom problems.

Friendly stuff, they really care about their customers! The place was nicely quiet and peaceful. Very beautiful, near the beach. Also good food! Bed was good, slept well.

Very quiet, nice garden and good location for reaching south beaches and east coast. Staff was kind and the cleaning lady made the room spotless every day. Compared to other bungalows around this one comes up very highly recommended with very few things missing. Good value, will happily return.

Room smelled like sewage, the bathroom could have been built with a syphon instead of a straight pipe. Easy to fix with a wet towel over the hole so we were not that bothered, but for a german built joint I would have expected more. We did not try the kitchen, seeing that half the menu was schnitzel/wurst/pommes to keep the german owners happy really brought up sad memories of working in the 5 star restaurants in Berlin. Big red flag.

We’ve had the most wonderful New Years celebration here. Right on the beach, great food (German BBQ menu!) and wonderful owners and staff. We wholeheartedly recommend!

Our room had a strange smell, perhaps originating from the drain, but it didn’t take away from the great time we had here.

Excellent location right on the beach. Really cute beach huts. Good food in the restaurant. Easy to motorbike to nearby beaches. Can walk to lots of restaurants. They also have 3 very sweet cats!

Could do with a new mattress

We had the best week at Isara - everything was great. The bungalow was big, clean, spacious and comfortable and great value for money. The staff all made us feel so welcome and they all looked after us for the whole time, booking excursions for us, organising transfers etc. The food is also really nice - mixture of European and Thai.
