Avani Plus Koh Lanta Krabi Resort

The hotel grounds were beautiful! The private beach and relaxing pool area gave us lots of options for relaxation.

Wifi was poor in our room, and drinks at the pool were way overpriced. If they lowered the cost of drinks, way more people would happily pay to drink by the pool during the day!

Hotel employee who works the front desk, was so professional and welcoming. She remembered me after the first time I called, and treated me like a special guest. The reggae bar was gorgeous and so relaxing. Views were beautiful.

The spa service I had was disappointing, weak pressure massage and I got a hair braid instead of a scalp massage. The pool closed while it was still light (added chemicals). Our room service plates sat outside our room for 12+ hours.

We had a room with access to swim out to the pool. The pools were amazing.

The staff is very friendly and willing to help.The matress was really nice.

This is NOT a 5 star hotel. This is an outdated resort, that needs refreshment.Mold in the bath, rust in the faucets and shower.Thr service is a bit slow.

We really loved this property…from the free van pickup at the airport through the entire stay. We had a sea view room and enjoyed the nice light into the rooms as well as the outside private patio. Great breakfast and just a short walk to Long Beach for swimming or just walking barefoot in the sand. We enjoyed the Majestic bar about 20 minutes walk up Long Beach…great fun with oldies playing, a beautiful sunset and happy hour drinks. Easy to get a Tuk Tuk right outside the resort to anywhere in Koh Lanta. We hope to return!!!

Everything, the hotel was perfect. The swimming pool was amazing and the room was great. Staff were super friendly and always on hand to help.Breakfast was insane and a shout out to the man who made the eggs. Short 4 minute walk to restaurants and beach.

Breakfast was not 5 star, one morning the toaster didn’t work and the choices weren’t very varied. Coffee wasn’t good, would be good for coffee and tea to be served at the table.The pool areas also are poor, loungers are ripped and the pool itself has dirty exterior, none of the jets work and the pool seats and steps have eroded (steps in the pool are very sharp stones)

We loved the resort. Everything was just perfect. From staff to amenities, to breakfast and cleanliness.Don't doubt it. Just treat yourself and do it!

We absolutely loved the Avani Plus Koh Lanta. My grown up daughter and I travelled around the South of Thailand for 2 weeks and this was definitely one of our favourite hotels. The staff were all so lovely, kind, and hardworking and made our stay perfect. We upgraded our room to a swim up room, and we loved it. The room was so comfortable, clean we loved the pool access and it was really quiet. The reception were always so helpful and always helped us with transfers and taxis for sightseeing. We only stayed 2 nights, but we would love to come back and stay longer and see more of this beautiful island. Highlights of our trip were visiting a beach with chilled bars, sunset and fireshow. Not sure where it was but the hotel organised the taxi for us and it was wonderful. We also went horseriding with Pirates Bar horseriding, which was recommended to me and was stunning riding on the most beautiful private beach. The restaurant at the hotel was lovely and the food was really good and the breakfast was delicious. The coffee shop was our favourite and we were there every day. We had such a wonderful time at the Avani Plus and the staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you Avani Plus for making our stay perfect ?

Relaxing stay in a great room overlooking the pool . Close to restaurant and path to beach. Took advantage of buggy to reception, used local tuk tuk to visit local restaurants in the evening. Easy access to public beach by path, also took a bike ride organised by hotel.Staff very helpful, beautiful hotel on a lovely chilled island

Only thing I can think of is that our morning tai chi activity was help close to the gym but would have been great to be close to or even on the beach

The stay at the hotel was truly commendable. I would especially like to praise Lee, the girl who gave me a massage—she was amazing! Everyone was wonderful. The people at the reception, the restaurant staff—everyone did their best to make us feel as comfortable as possible.

The room was excellent, and had a direct access to the pool. It was very clean all over the hotel, which is great.

We book this hotel as we thought it was an adults only hotel, but it turned out to be a family hotel with a lot of children. But this was mainly our own fault, as our research of the hotel apperently was not good enough.

The area is nice and green, well kept even if somewhat worn down. Staff is smiling and helpful. Easy to walk to the main beaches as well as taking the tuktuks to the village. Rooms very nice and spacious and very clean. We also greatly enjoyed the pilates, boxing and other sport activities offered.

There was a constant lack of pool-towels.

We were lucky to be offered an upgrade to a sea view room which was fabulous and spacious. The staff were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to help. The hotel has its own private beach as well as being a short walk to the main beach where we spent time enjoying the water and local (quiet) beach bars. Hotel shuttle service was excellent.

Stunning room and location

We weren’t treated very well! Room wasn’t ready till 4, but they offered us dinner as an apology but that was still a lot of money as we then had to pay for our own drinks! Also our room was left open by the maids which we were very upset about! I just felt like we were complaining all the time and we couldn’t relax like we wanted to which was a shame!

Excellent resort! Very nice facilities. We stayed in a villa with it's own pool, which I highly recommend. The main pool at the resort was also very nice. There were daily activities like yoga or biking. The villa was large and very well appointed with a beautiful view. There was a private beach which was beautiful and never crowded. There was a shuttle within the resort which was very convenient to use. The staff was top notch. The resort is located in a very quiet (and beautiful) area, a short ride to Walking Street for food and shopping. Tuk tuks were always available just outside the resort entrance to take you there. Very family friendly.

No negatives, loved this place. I will definitely return.
