Hotel Lake Palace

I have paid extra for breakfast and it was clearly mentioned in my booking confirmation.But upon arrival the hotel staff said I need to pay extra for breakfast. I have shown them my booking details but still the staff was not helpful.

Nothing to like the property

Swimming pool is 4 feet. Nothing excited.. just name only 5star only 3star facilities. Not worth for money. Water is yellow

1. Our room was great- spacious, clean, nice furniture, had all amenities like fridge, kettle, hair dryer, iron etc., nice balcony with chairs and table and a great view of the garden, pool and lake.2. Staff was courteous and service was good and fast.3. Food was very good.4. They prepared special khichdi for our 8- month old baby as per our requirements and did not charge for it, which was a very nice gesture.5. They had a high chair for baby's dining and small tyres for babies to go into the pool (which had a kiddie pool too).

1. Air conditioning was not working properly in our room. We were sweating even at the minimum possible temperature.2. Bath tub (while seemingly high-end) was poorly maintained. Drainage was clogged and water accumulated even when we showered keeping drainage at maximum. Plus the many knobs were either rusted or broken and the accumulated water turned a filthy Yellow green making us wonder if there was fungus in the knobs. Even though we paid extra because my husband and I both love tubs, we were too disgusted to use it.3. Only the basic TV channels were available. Even average hotels pay for better channel packages. Even though we requested several times, it was not considered.4. Spa facilities should be considered by the management as the hotel says five-star.5. Location- it is a little far away from the main city.6. American express cards are not accepted at a five star. Even though the final payment went through via an Amex card, the staff called and asked to pay via UPI (or come back from our way to the airport). Still waiting for the refund of the dual payment.

The Hotel staff was helpful.

We had booked 2 Lake View rooms 1004 and 1006. 1006 was occupied by my parents who are senior citizens. The water heater in the bath was not working which caused a bit of discomfort during our stay. The TV in their room was also not operational. The managememt should take care of this in future.

Good staff aimed at customer service. The security gave his bike for near by shop. The manager at reception accepted request for late check out.food was customized.

It’s not situated in a good locality. It’s recommended to stay inside the hotel premises as there were drunk people roaming about The Bar area also looked a bit shady

Excellent rooms with a great view. Refreshing view from the room of the back waters. Staffs were very courteous and helpful. Restaurant food was very very tasty and served well. Lovely place to stay.

Beautiful location.Arvind the manager was very accommodating with our 4 year old daughter.The hotel restaurant was excellent with mouthwatering dishes.Just go and enjoy their hospitality.

We absolutely loved our stay at Lake Palace. The staff are all wonderful, from the minute we arrived they made us feel so welcome, they are friendly, helpful and very efficient. The property is set in grounds which lead to a view over the lake giving the whole place a feel of openness, peace and tranquility. Our room was perfect overlooking the gardens and lake with a nice balcony. Great size, very comfortable, plenty of storage space and a lovely bathroom. The restaurant serves excellent food, very fresh and tasty. ( Although a bit pricy worth it)The pool provides a good place to swim. Infact we liked it so much we rearranged our trip in order to return a few days later.Lovely location very quiet at night.

Nothing much ! Some sun loungers would be nice! Be aware the beach is a working beach There are no other food options nearby.

The staff was very attentive and polite. The food from the kitchen was amazing and the location next to the lake is beautiful

The fittings in the bathroom like the bathtub seemed to be at least +10y old. Most of the tv channels were blocked, but that shouldnt worry you not to get entertained there.The scent in the room smelled also like an old building

Location was perfect for my purpose of visit. Ambience was great in stay and room was spacious

Hot water for shower was not available moreover the jacuzzi had maintenance issues. Breakfast was not satisfactory as well.

Food! Wanted wider spread in buffet dinner n breakfast both wanted more regional Kerala cuisine !

The place is true to the pictures of the view and the rooms. The most endearing part about the stay is the staff! they were so polite, accommodative and helpful! And the Restaurant was amazing! Every dish i tasted were really authentic and flavorful. I really enjoyed all my meals there. But the staff of the place were the ones who actually made my stay remarkable!

They place does hold up it's former glory days. But could do a bit more with the maintenance of the beautiful property. But that does not reflect on the services in any way. I also have to add this is very limited to certain aspects and not the property as a whole.

Lake view room with balcony is really cool, view from the room was amazing, All staffs were polite and friendly. Nice pool, kids really enjoyed. Breakfast was excellent, loved poori and masala curry.

We booked 2 lake view rooms, but seems like they prepared only 1 room. 1 of the room wasn't cleaned and there was horrible stinky smell from the toilet. Also the chairs and tables on the baloney were full of dust and bird poop. Very limited items on the menu for dinner and breakfast (breakfast wasn't buffet).

This is hands down one of the best properties i have been to. Really courteous staff and the ambience is mind blowing. There is a private lake at the back and they also offer kayaking and boating. The view is really beautiful and it is a well maintained property, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The staff were friendly. Didn't get much time to explore the place. Overall a nice weekend getaway place.

The property is a little out of the way but worth it! It's gorgeous and surrounded by the backwaters all around! Chef Zaki served us some delicious breakfast too! It's a beautiful property with excellent ammenities.

The swimming pool was not functional.
