    Pros +

    • A nice buffet breakfast with friendly staff. Nice pool and beach area.
    • Located on the ocean.
    • The rooms were pleasant enough and a good size, which lead directly onto the beach. Outdoor shower is a nice feature

    Cons -

    • I expected more for the money. This is not budget accommodation, as the nightly rate is about twice what we typically pay. Yet there was no wifi in the room, no refrigerator, no TV, no hot water, no view, no quiet, and limited privacy. The system of writing your credit card number down on a form and leaving it accessible to too many staff is unsecure and unsafe. This is how fraud happens and credit card numbers get canceled when people are far from home.
    • Room & restaurant very dated. Happy hour was a joke. Food overpriced for quality. Nickle & dimed for everything
    • On arrival the reception area is small and dated, leaving guests feeling a little unsure of what the rest of the hotel offers. Firs impressions count and this is not hit the mark. We had to try multiple times to get the outdoor shower to heat, as it comes through an external burner. The one restauant looks like an old peoples dining room, and the plastic plates, paper napkins and dirty cutlery dont help. The food was pretty average unless you like rice crispies, dry croissants and cheap supermarket bread to toast for breakfast. Lunch wasn't much better and everything is deep fried - little healthy options. Its a very carb heavy menu with cheap pasta, undercooked pizza and ''pulled pork'' wraps which are in fact just fatty Bacon wraps. They need more outdoor sun loungers as some had to sit on old dirty bean bags during the day. The coffee machine broke half way through the holiday. The Bar area is small and people smoke cigarettes here. Asking for help at reception is like pulling teeth. I had to ask 3 times for a taxi to the airport to be booked. There is no wifi in the rooms, so you need to get a ''daily'' wifi code for the shared areas. The pool is nice but very cold.

noisy. breakfast was good but quite limited. front desk staff was grumpy.

    7AdriaanPosted on: 8-8-2025

The cassave based gluten free pizzas, the entertainment by a local string band and dance group

Very expensive for what is provided: the bungalows are nice but minimally equipped.

Location, fares were nice and clean

Some staff were not overly friendly or helpful, particularly the ones at reception, food was a bit average

we love the authentic faro’s we stayed in. Walking barefoot thru the sand to the bar, restaurant and pool. It’s was smalland never felt busy .

I have been back many times in the last 20 years. As frequent travelers to the outer islands we often stay at the Breakas. The spirit remains the same and most staff are incredibly helpful.

It is expensive including F&B on site.

Location was fantastic on the beach and close to town

breakfast was average not very good selection of foods. There was a number of times we got there and there was no power to the toaster, no cutlery, and not very much food.

Breakfast was very basic at least they could have served cereal and proper coffee not instant. The walk to my bungalow was very long even involved steps.Check in staff a bit unfriendly not offered to help carry my luggage. Resort over priced I was expecting more than what they offered.

The resort is absolutely amazing. I've stayed at other resorts and spoken to others about other resorts, but none compare to Breakas Beach Resort! It's the perfect adults only resort that is right on the beach, has an amazing pool, is a short bus ride from the main town and has real small waves. The accomodation was amazing with a real local vibe and an outdoor shower in the amazing bungalows. The food, drinks and service is a lot better than other places. There was entertainment every night. Tours was easy to organise and the staff are so kind and helpful. My only regret was that we didn't stay longer!

    Everything was perfect.

Beautiful location by the sea. Great food and loved the pool and friendly service. Loved it so much we extended our stay.

Great view. Great staff. Great facilities. Even better diving!

Fantastic location, people are wonderful, snorkeling just off the beach is fantastic.

    In desperate need of refurbishment

Warm, friendly staff. Good welcome drink and excellent service and events. We could play our choice of music too.

Should have a Melanesian menu on daily basis. Some of us don't stay long enough to wait for the Melanesian buffet night. Also Saturday nights should be a lounge bar night and the bar should be open till midnight.

Location and sunset was nice. Accomodation was nice Felt really safe as security guard doing active patrol.

No privacy in rooms and blinds don’t shut and no curtains.Security shining torch into villa on his active patrol. Can hear people in next villa as blinds unable to be shut.

    6AniPosted on: 12-16-2024

    Location

No AC in the room. A few windows weren't working so we had to use a towel to cover the window.

    10MatthewPosted on: 12-4-2024

incredible vistas, high quality spacious bungalows, well appointed with good sized outdoor bathroom. no mosquitoes to speak of and abundant fresh local fruit for the included continental breakfast. delightful staff and well priced menu at restaurant and bar.

it was all fab, one thing to note though that the reality is that the adjoining sea at the beach is very shallow and coral/rocky so not really amenable to swimming but otherwise gorgeous. great for SUP and kayak.

    9MarianaPosted on: 11-9-2024

Perfect place, could spend the day between the pool, the beach and the bean bags. Bonus if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing scenery (adults only).

There were a few activities listed, provided by the resort, that we would've liked to join/attend, but no staff showed up at the supposed meeting point.
