Grand Hotel & Casino

The Grand has a matrvellous view of Port Vila harbour, so right down town. The food is generally good. I particularly like the cauliflower curry at lunch. The looby area is nice and are with plenty of sitting spaces and a convenient bar.

The week I was there the hot water was out 2-3 days. One evening I had to swim in the pool just to get clean. Breakfast can sometimes be rather lower qulity some days than others. Im not keen on casinos but there was never any disturbance.

Was very disappointed that the pool was closed and that this wasn’t advertised online nor their website. The pool area was the main reason for my booking here. Had mates that cancelled their booking day of as they saw it was closed. I asked staff and the said it would be running the next day. It was not

Breakfast was good and most of the time it has variety. Staff are fantastic.The omelette bar was the best as the other hot food is in bain-marie and is not as good.

Great room and fabulous views of the bay. I loved waking up in the morning and watching the boats going up and down the bay.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Facilities were great, some minor issues re main toilets but easily resolved with two other options. Felt safe and welcomed each time we entered and left the premise.

Window in bathroom. It had a blind but if you switched on the light at night you could disturb your partner.2nd floor smells of cigarettes

The hotel is very central to the town and they were extremely accommodating to our last-minute booking request after our flight was cancelled. Restaurant and food was really nice and enjoyed the pool looking out to the harbour/Iririki island. Our room was generously sized and clean and we were really happy with the portacot that they provided for our child. Staff were all very friendly and attentive

The location, the staff were amazing very friendly. The pool area was great, but they did cut up the tiles on put 2nd last day, stopping us from using the pool. That okay, but if it was our 1st day??? Hope they would of let guest know this.

We had Dinner and the pizza was amazing and the salad and sweet potato fries complimented it well

The hotel was centrally located in Port Vila. We stayed here for 1 night because we had an early morning flight. The bed was very comfortable. The room had a view over Port Vila Harbour but the hotel is next door to a dock yard which detracts from the view.

When we checked in we found the toilet did not flush. We informed reception who told us that someone would be up to fix it. After 1 hour the problem had not been fixed and as we were leaving for dinner spoke to the receptionist again and asked if we could move to another room. We were told there were no other rooms available and the problem would be fixed before we returned. We returned about 11pm, still no flushing toilet! We insisted on moving to another room and they miraculously found one on a higher level.

Everything was great.A dustpan and brush would have been handy. Toilet paper was lowish quality.

The first impression from the entry foyer is one of elegant grandeur. There is a view from every room’s balcony. Yet it is private from the room next door. The harbour is busy so very tranquil to look out and see people going about their lives. Staff are prompt to respond to your needs and love to have a laugh.

Breakfast is a little pricey.

The staff were beautiful! So close to everything so be weary of the noise of the construction and traffic. The elevators had an odd smell and it was really hot. Loved the room’s view and strong aircon though.

I didn’t like that you were allowed to smoke in the casino, but that’s maybe because I’m from Australia and don’t find it normal.

friendliness, view. location is a bit of a tough one if you have a vehicle. didn't have breakfast. had that later when we returned but didn't stay the hotel when we came back.

one of the rooms had to be redone to accommodate two of the family members because the original request wasn't received properly although it was communicated. so had to wait for some time before two family members could go into their rooms.

Refurbished rooms were superb and great value for money. Location was great being right in town. Staff were awesome. Would definitely come back.

The location was fabulous - right in the centre - ability to walk most places. The room was lovely - spacious, comfortable bed and lovely view out over the water. The staff at the front desk were wonderful - so friendly and helpful.

The only small downside was that the room service menu was quite limited and there wasn’t any fitness facilities.
