Royale Chulan Cherating Chalet

The sofa in front of TV is comfy :) Two Aircon in living and bedroom is great. Shampoo, hair conditioner and body wash in refillable bottles really made my day :D Breakfast has good spread with omelette station. Each morning, chirping birds singing woke me up with a smile =D

In my opinion, the bottle provided in room (to refill at water station) has a capacity for one person. I believe placing two bottles would be perfect. I was told the restaurant is located in Villa and unfortunately when I planned to dine in 22Jan, it was closed for private function. I'm sure guests could be accommodated in some way despite having private function. Or it would be helpful to have the information beforehand. Lastly, there was a weird noise at night, similar to gunshot or fireworks, which occurred sometime after 10pm. I was startled and it made me restless.

Terrible and disgusting experience at Royal Chulan Chalet Cherating during my stay on 23–24 June 2025. The bed was full of bed bugs! When I got home, my whole body became itchy and covered with red bites. This clearly shows that the room was not properly cleaned or maintained. How can a hotel allow such poor hygiene standards? Absolutely unacceptable!I came for a relaxing holiday while working, but instead I brought home an itchy nightmare. This is serious negligence from the hotel’s management. No guest should ever have to go through this.I strongly do NOT recommend this place unless you want to risk sleeping with bed bugs and suffering for days after your stay. Very disappointing and frustrating.

Decent room, comfortable, clean, good wifi, easy parking. Location on the beach is excellent!! Great place to spend the whole week for surfers and beachcombers. Food is good too

The location is great!

I think is time for the hotel to change all the towels to new ones. White color doesn’t look white anymore. And the sofa doesn’t feel comfortable to sit.

Aircond took some time to cool and a bit noisy

The strategic place that is near the beach and very convenient for families with young children.

It can improve a lil bit more for the breakfast choice and can have buggies for guests who want to go to the cafe nearby.

The location is quite secluded and near an almost empty beach, except from the hotel guests. The room is very nice. it has a separate bedroom from the hall and separate wc from the shower area. All required room facilities were provided. Staff are very friendly and helpful

The settee provided was a bit dated, the seat cushion has collapsed, thus not comfortable to sit on.

Nothing really stands out for me except Location near the nice beach.Some of the frontline staff were very pleasant.

Room and furnishings were very tired and uncomfortable.Breakfast food was at best OK.

i love the breakfast, as it was really good, the access to the beach is nice but the beaches were filled with flies though its not the hotels fault. however the facilities or the room can still be better, the walls and the water heater is moldy, however still acceptable.. since perhaps it's near the beach.. the other room that we took ,the water heater didn't function well and not hot enough. however the family are still happy due to the beach that is right infront.

The pool used to share with Royal villa in my last trip but at the moment they don’t let us use it anymore.

I love everything about this property except for the dust in the room. Location was good just at the surfing beach. Food was good. They have nice ambient environtment and near to beach. Room was good just that i dusty floor.
