Rise Urban Art Hotel

Our room was a decent size, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout our 3-night stay. The highlight for us was the breakfast; it was varied, delicious, and included in the room rate. We also loved the rooftop restaurant where breakfast was served. We ended up having brunch and dinner there as well (for an extra fee), and the food was delicious. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

The bathroom size was a bit small, but manageable.

Parking is like for 3 cars. We were lucky to get a space, but might be problematic.

Our stay was very disappointing. The room had several issues: the air conditioning was leaking so badly we had to place towels on the floor to absorb the water, the bathroom smelled strongly of sewage with visible mould, and the room was next to the elevator, which was far from soundproof despite being advertised otherwise.Breakfast was the worst experience. My wife took a few bread rolls and croissants to make sandwiches for our early flight. Staff immediately approached us and explained that management fines them if they do not intervene when guests take food outside, even though no signs stated this policy. When we asked what to do, they told us to throw the bread away. We complied, placing it on a plate that had not been cleared from the table. Minutes later, the duty manager approached us again, requested our identification a second time, and said we were “disrespectful” — explaining they had seen on cameras how we disposed of the bread and did not like it.Meanwhile, tables around us were left dirty and uncleared, highlighting misplaced priorities. Ironically, bringing and eating our own food (yogurt and ham) was not questioned, but taking a few pastries for later was treated as a major offense.For a hotel charging €200 per night, being closely monitored during breakfast, while basic maintenance and hygiene issues are left unresolved, made for a stressful and unacceptable experience.[UPDATE]After my review, the hotel called to apologize, explaining they were changing staff and moving breakfast to the rooftop, which caused operational issues. They promised a full refund as compensation but never issued it. The advertised rate was around €200 per night (we paid less via a last-minute discount). While the apology was appreciated, it’s hard to take seriously when followed by a public response that misrepresents facts and ignores their own promise. This only confirmed that management prioritizes image over genuine guest care.

This is a relatively large hotel conveniently located within walking distance of the sea and close to the archaeological museum. The check-in and check-out process is well-organized, and the staff welcome every guest with exceptional warmth and kindness. The soundproofing is adequate, better than in many other hotels. The room was clean, with the only issue being a problem with the water drainage system in the bathroom. There was a kettle provided along with tea bags, coffee, sugar, and a bottle of water. I stayed for just one night, but I wished I could have stayed longer.

The bathroom pipes should be cleaned, as well as the mold in the shower cabin.

Breakfast was amazing. Staff were helpful. Loved the decor. Gym was nice.

Room was a little small.

Modern bathroom, comfortable beds, very clean, good breakfast, walkable to the beach and on the bus line from the airport, 425. The late night clerk was very helpful in getting me a taxi for a 2:30 a.m. pick up to the airport.

The room especially the bed was very comfortable. Modern bathroom. I liked the artsy, painted decor.

The Parking lot was tight as there were only three spaces. I was not made aware of another lot. Also I was misinformed by the early evening front desk clerk that the elevator on the third floor, where my room was located, would only go to the 4th and then I had to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant on the roof. Breakfast the next morning, I ended up getting locked out. There's a second elevator that services the third floor as well as the fifth floor provided you have your key card. How could he not know that?

It's a lovely hotel, located within 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. The staff was very helpful and we really enjoyed the breakfast.

Clean, good sound isolation, really nice breakfast, short walk to the beach, friendly and helpful staff, complementary water bottles in the room, that were replaced by the cleaning personnel.

Breakfast, the area was clean and tidy, the room also was clean with everything working in it, location is walking distance from the the beach and restaurants

You have to walk to reach the beach (if you need it). The sea is shallow in this place.

Gorgeous art throughout the space. Excellent breakfast. Comfy beds. Good AC (make sure the window is closed or it won't turn on).
