Booked with breakfast but then charged for a coffee with the breakfast...never experienced that anywhere.

Walking distance to the beach.

$500 for one night for the facility we got was ridiculous. No koalas seen as the inclusive breakfast was actually just 1 item of the menu of 6 items, no drinks. $8 for a 300ml juice. Was told we can pay the extra 80 dollars each ($320) to see the 2 koalas (17 and 14 yo) but not touching them. The rooms were moldy, showers were gross and the pool was warm. Photos look nothing like the facilities. Our food was unedible, burnt to a crisp and over priced. Photo evidence.

The overall vibe was great, room decor, lovely pool, good bar and friendly staff. Bus stop outside and a short walk to the beach. As two 30-year old backpackers, this was perfect for us. Not too young or lively, vibe was just right.

Cleaned the bathrooms at awkward times

Bounce is such a great, island vibe! The facilities were great offering a lovely shared pool, bar open till late, restaurant, sandwiches, a kitchen to make your own food, shared shower facilities and a laundry block if you wanted to get some clothes washed during your travels. There is a real sense of community here, everyone is so lovely and there are lots of activities throughout the day to keep people connected & engaged. We stayed in a private cabin which was an extra luxury to have our own space but still mingle with other travellers in the communal spaces. If you’re big on wildlife, there are so many things to see & hear throughout the day and night. There is a bus stop right outside to take you on the 250 route in either direction but Horseshoe Bay is also walking distance.

No dislikes but more of a suggestion - It would be really good to get a bit of an information pack when staying as there were some bits we missed out on, for example, the snorkel equipment hire. If there was an information leaflet provided at check in with everything the site offers etc. This would be fantastic as the island is slightly remote, especially if you are unable to hire transport, knowing we had access to snorkelling equipment would have really excelled our visit when we walked over to Arthur’s Bay.

The location was so cool! Felt like you were living amongst the wildlife in Australia. Glamping vibes if you stayed in the dorm rooms but also had campground. Loved it!

It was very cool, to have wild wallabies and the two Koalas "Sleepy" and "Trouble" in the camping area! :)Very nice private room close to the natur,, cozy and clean.

It would be very nice if the swimming pool could stay open some hours more than till 7 pm.

Comfy bed, cute little A-frame bungalow, bathrooms were nice and clean - towels provided is always a bonus. Cosy little area in the “jungle”. The music quiz on Friday night was so fun! Good communal areas.

They close the bathrooms to be cleaned 3 times a day for an hour. I think the timings could be changed as two of these are 8:30-9:30am & pm, which are quite popular hours to want to get ready. There was also a little lizard in my room, which made me a bit apprehensive to sleep but I understand you probably can’t do much about that.

Very nice stay at Bounce on Magnetic Island. Delicious breakfast and extraordinary barista coffee in the morning!

No wildlife tours or koala breakfast due to hot and humid weather. Not hostels fault, but if this is your main focus, I would clarify it a couple of days before the arrival.

The location itself is really nice, a few minute walk to Horseshoe bay beachfront and built in and around the natural bush. The vibe of the bar area was really nice and well-decorated. Favourite part was the wildlife that roams throughout the park (so many kookaburras, galahs, one echidna and even a wild koala!)

I enjoyed the closeness to the beach and the animals on site. E.g. koalas, wombat, bird feeding.

Excellent location! Incredible staff that go above and beyond and tons of activities everyday. Wish I could’ve stayed longer! Plus the cabins are really cool and clean - so is the shared bathroom!

It’s gorgeous - but not anymore in selina days! Staff at bar are good and the food both the burger and the Bowles are fab

The bathroom door must get a handle, I hurt myself a few times. The bathroom shower doors are mouldy. The location is near the beach. Not on the busy side

I loved that it was close to the Koala Park and set in a beautiful area. I could see wildlife, including kangaroos, and someone even spotted koalas. The bar and the pool were great.

Have the opportunity to see koalas and wallabies in the hostel. Staff was really helpfull and kind

The location and the wildlife sanctuary were all excellent. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Drinks were really good value in happy hour and the cabins were super cosy. The koala tour was brilliant and Alana were so knowledgeable and accommodating. They offer a lot of cool activities. Would definitely recommend and come back.

One night, in house bar had very limited menu that didn't meet dietary requirements. Full menu is good and good value when fully on.
