Koorawatha Homestead Motel

Very comfy beds, clean rooms, lovely restaurant, great friendly staff, lovely large grounds with nice big pool. Meals were fabulous. Will definitely make this our new stop over point on our trips from up north to SEQ.

It was quiet

The AC pointing towards the head of the bed; it was really uncomfortable while sleeping; with cold air blowing towards your face.

Location is excellent for an overnight stop on way to Brisbane. Lots of easy parking for a large car-trailer combo.

Highway noise is there but it dies down later at night.

New owners are updating and show care in the property and when engaging with guests.

There was some road noise but had a great nights rest and enjoyed the cozy quaint atmosphere the owners have cultivated.

Beautiful setting and continental breakfast included homemade marmalade and their honey.

They forgot to leave towels in our room.

Great stay! Room was clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet surrounded by countryside, but close to the highway. Craig and the team were very friendly and welcoming. Great continental breakfast and we left with a tasty pot of homemade honey too!

The Hotel and Staff are extremely friendly. Our room was well kept and very clean. Our only criticism is the wall mounted Air conditioner which was very noisy and the wall shook each time it cut in and out. Other than that tit is an excellent place to stay and breaks up the trip nicely.

Lovely motel with pool, restaurant and confortable bed and nice coffee maker. The owners were fabulous.

Very friendly, relaxed, and great spaces to enjoy, dinner was fantastic, restaurant and bar was welcoming.

We always choose to stay here when traveling. The staff are amazing, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool is great to exhaust the kids after driving all day and cocktails are great for the parents after driving all day with the kids. Highly reccomend!

No complaints at all

The rooms have been renovated since our last stay and they were very clean and no smell like a lot of motels generally have. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and more than helpful.

Bathrooms are a little outdated but still very clean & functional.

Complimentary continental breakfast was adequate . A full service and buffet was offered but not used .

A hidden gem . We were delayed leaving the Gold Coast due to traffic . Had planned to pay at the property , emailed ahead and this fabulous family owned motel left us the keys to let ourselves in . The room was far superior than other motels we stayed in en route . Very comfortable. We were very tired but in the morning the staff were so friendly . Lovely place . Next trip to Brisbane from Townsville I’m staying with these guys , 100 %

Very comfy bed and quality linen, generous size room, nice shower with flexible hose, did not hear any highway traffic although close by, complimentary continental breakfast (I didn't go but my husband said there was a very good variety) friendly owner and lovely grounds.

We use Bororen and Rockhampton as a stop overs when we drive between Brisbane and Mackay. It used to be that we would stay both ways at Bororen but with the new Gympie By Pass Rockhampton is now the stop over on the way up. This was the first time we have stayed at Koorawatha Homestead Motel at Bororen and it was a pleasant surprise. The owner was quite friendly and welcoming, The rooms were comfortable. Koorawathaa Homestead Motel also has a very pleasant dining room for dinner and another for breakfast. The meals offered and served were perhaps a little above pub quality and standard. Certainly would recommend this for a stop over or it could easily be used for meetings or training courses given its extensive facilities.

The shower rose was terrible.

The new managers are doing a fantastic job at getting Koorawatha back to its former glory! The staff are super friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was great.

Exceptional

The sink could probably be replaced as very stained. The shower door doesn’t close properly so the water goes over the bathroom floor, other than that, a really good room.

The motel is set back from the highway, with a nice outlook.The walkway to the restaurant kept us dry during the heavy rainstorms.The room was large with an extremely comfy king size bed.Breakfast was included in the overnight price.

We had a wonderful stay! The check-in was easy, even after hours, and the host was very friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed, and we appreciated the covered parking and the ceiling fan being already on. A family run-motel, had a very family-like atmosphere. We felt very welcomed. The complimentary breakfast with homemade honey was a lovely touch and definitely a highlight! Despite being close to the highway, the location was surprisingly quiet. I slept really well, even with the bad weather, and didn’t hear any noise. The hosts greeted us warmly in the morning, even in German ;) , and kindly offered us some of their delicious homemade honey to try. We felt very comfortable and at home. The outdoor area was well-kept, making the whole stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!
