- Lovely grounds. Lots of effort to provide activities. We played badminton every day ?
- The hotel looks really nice and modern with nice gardens. There was a delicious welcome cocktail. The rooms also are nice and spacious. We liked the pool area and the super friendly staff. We only had breakfast booked, breakfast is nothing special, it's ok. There is restaurants close by which are nice.
- Our stay was wonderful! The room was spotless, and the resort offers so many fun activities. The pool and the beach were absolutely perfect, and both breakfast and dinner had a wide variety of delicious options — all with an amazing view. But what truly made our vacation special was the staff. They were incredibly kind, always checked on us, played with us, and made us feel at home. They turned a great vacation into an unforgettable one!
Cons -
- The food wasn’t great and the service was not good. Some staff were very friendly and others not.
- The hotel is right next to the open air nightclub NJOY food there is really good). We stayed Friday, Saturday and Sunday night and all nights there were loud parties until early mornings. Our room (110) was one of the closest to it. When you book, maybe request a room further away. Or go there during the weekdays.
- It was my birthday and they did not do anything, it was a special request but still nothing, that would have made me give them a 10/10

It was my birthday and they did not do anything, it was a special request but still nothing, that would have made me give them a 10/10
Grand Baie was our second stop in our tour of Mauritius, after Belle Mare. We chose the Veranda Grand Baie, as it is close to Grand Baie town (a few minutes walk along the beach/beach road) and on the beach. The friendly staff at this boutique hotel were quite endearing - Esabelle at the front office was so kind and ensured that we were comfortable (we got a pool facing room with balcony). The breakfast was good and in the evening, they have a complimentary rum tasting session (flavoured rums made in-house) - rather nice. As we had a long day sightseeing and driving up from Belle Mare, the first night we had dinner in the hotel, by the beach - excellent seafood. Also, as we were celebrating my wife's birthday, the hotel decorated our table and took special care of us - they even sent us a cake to the room :)The next day, the hotel arranged a private glass bottom boat for us to go snorkeling along the coast. The boatman was very accommodating and showed us / stopped at good spots to snorkel. A lovely day out and fun experience.Grand Baie is a quiet seaside town and there is an area called the Village with lots of cute little shops, bars and restaurants. Further up the road, there is a Super U hypermarket which I visited to pick up a few bottles of Mauritian rum - excellent selection and well priced. The second night we had dinner at the Beach House Restaurant in Grand Baie town by the seaside - excellent food. There is a large beach club opposite Veranda called Njoy with good island music, which was quite lively - we went there both nights after dinner! I will return to Mauritius and Grand Baie for sure :)
Rooms and bathrooms are on the smaller side, but well appointed
The hotel rooms sit within a big garden with a wide range of tropical plants, which is impressive to visit. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. Good live music performance in the bar in the evening. Breakfast offered a good range of options.
The hotel room I lived in reeked of a strange smell that sticked during my entire stay. The a la carte dinner restaurant fell short of my expectation. Although the ingredients were fresh, the sauce tasted a bit bland, and the side noodles were not seasoned at all.
Veranda Gran Baie really surprised us. We where in our honeymoon and we found this first location really nice, close to NJoy for dancing and to local market places. The hotel staff was super attentive and kind, we felt that they where at all details trying to make our stay as memorable as possible. Also, the evening shows and drinks at the bar where wonderful! We loved our stay at this hotel.
Everything was perfect!
Breakfast and Dinner buffets were good but could do with more variety.
Service at the beach bar was very slow, over 1 hour wait for sandwiches the one day.
It’s exactly as described ‘Creole Chic’, such a beautiful and pretty hotel with a lovely pool and gorgeous gardens. Large restaurant with a good choice of food each night.
Would like more TV station choices, only 2 English news and 1 movie channel, everything else was in French.Had to keep asking for more coffee sachets in the room as they weren’t topped up everyday.
The best part about the hotel is its staff, specially Jamila Ludwig and obryen they were amazing!!! The facility of the hotel is nice too.Good variety was good.
Hygiene is not good in food and rooms.Towels are over used and can definitely be changed.
Good location near Grande Baie restaurants. Beautiful design and garden.
Little bit worn out. Service at the restaurants could be improved (hard to get contact with the staff, some misinterpretations (due to new staff) that could have been handled better by the management).
The resort’s amenities, including the pools, and recreational areas, were in excellent condition and contributed positively to the overall experience.
There is no direct beach access for swimming. I’m not certain if this was communicated on the booking platform. I might have missed it. Overall, the resort offers a comfortable and visually appealing retreat, but improvements in staff engagement (less transactional and more warmth) and dining variety (particularly noticeable on an all-inclusive package, where variety is key to maintaining an enjoyable dining experience over multiple days) would elevate it to a truly exceptional destination.
When it come to the hotel, we are amazed and we find that the hotel is cosy and really charming, homy atmosphere. Special mentioned to Obryan, amazing and cheerful personality. The green space with the hammaca is a plus. The dinner and food, great choice, we had something different everyday, maybe more choice when it comes to breakfast. The eating areas really nice, chilling space and relaxing. The dance party was really good and nice. The trio show was really great and we really enjoyed. Really great thing that we have sea activities provided from the hotel is a plus. The best thing which make us feels mauritian is tasting the traditional food. We would surely recommend the hotel for sure.
Cleanliness of the bathroom should be improved.
Superb in every way. The warmest of Mauritian hospitality from moment of arrival and throughtout. Porter Suresh is a longstanding and proud ambassador of the hotel. Location simply stunning. All inclusive includes quality drinks and excellent meals. Fish is the star but the menu is wide and varied and important for me locally plus sustainable sourced. Full credit to Chef Sudhir. Our 4th stay! A hotel revamp since our last has made incredible rooms even better. A wide activity programme and sunset chill music makes the Veranda the perfect place to relax and recharge. Entertainment manager Stephen checks in regularly to makes sure everyone is happy. We will be back.
All excellent
Very nice hotel, staff were very friendly, the pool was excellent, clear and comfortable room, good breakfast!
I chose half board, and the buffet was great. The spa was very good and i received an amazing massage. Pool is beautiful and the beach has plenty of sun loungers You can walk along the beach and visit little place near by that are lovelly
This hotel left us with a very good impression and positive emotions. The rooms are beautiful, stylish, and comfortable. The hotel grounds are very well maintained, the pool area is amazing, the food is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!
We like everything
Beachfront, spacious and comfortable room, would recommend all inclusive as eating outside is expensive, just a ride away on a local bus to Port Louise, staff @ restaurant is extremely helpful and cater to your needs. Evening entertainment is good. Water activities are available.
A small housekeeping issue that was resolved quickly. Rating should be 3.5 and not 4 (my personal opinion). Not enough umbrellas on the beach.
Beuatiful, amazing garden. The pool was excellent. Clear and comfortable room.
The hotel’s beach is simple, it is not nice. There is a disco next to the hotel, that is really noisy at the weekend.
Relaxed bars and restaurants. Really lovely team. On the beach.
Nothing. All perfect
