- The staff was very nice and available. W felt at home. They gave also gave us good recommendations about the area and where to go.
Cons -
- No wifi was available in the room, probably due to the thick concrete construction. Wifi in the public areas was questionable at best.
- I could hear voices from the front desk area in our room but it was not loud.
- Couldn't fault it at all. If I had to try and pick out anything, the only thing I could think of is only 1 socket to plug phone into but if you plug out a lamp, there are still plenty to use.

It’s beautiful and very stylish. We had a room looking onto a little garden and overlooking the pool.

Riad Zyo was amazing. We could not fault it at all. Really clean, room and bathroom were amazing. We stayed B&B and the breakfast was 5 star. The staff were really friendly and we felt they went above and beyond especially with recommendations on where to eat out and attractions to visit. The Riad itself was fantastic, we used the small pool to cool down in the afternoon after sight seeing and then had a glass of wine in the seating area on the roof terrace to dry off and relax. Highly recommend staying here.

Excellent location. Recently renovated. Beautifully decorated. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Could hear guests coming and going at all hours and staff prepping for breakfast (which I imagine would affect some rooms more than others, depending on location). Very little signage to find riad, but not too troublesome. Doors weren't sealed so flying bugs got into the room.
We stayed one night at Riad Zyo. The room was beautifully designed, featuring elegant stained glass windows that added character and charm. The property was clean, well-maintained, and provided a comfortable stay.
The riad does not offer a private transfer service. It is only 10 minutes from the train station but it took us a while to hail a cab to drive us into the medina.
An unforgettable stay! This Riad is in the perfect location—peaceful yet right in the heart of everything. We only had the chance to enjoy breakfast one morning, but it was delicious: fresh baked goods, lemon juice, and rich coffee. The Riad itself is a visual delight, with stunning architecture complemented by a thoughtfully curated collection of art spread throughout, adding richness to the space. There’s also a beautiful rooftop, perfect for relaxing and taking in the surroundings. What truly made the stay special was Mahdi’s warm and generous hospitality. Can’t wait to return!
Nice location, if you’ll lost in Medina they will help.Very good aka “homemade” breakfast
The riad was beautiful and from the moment we arrived, the staff and owner went out of their way to be welcoming and assist with anything we needed. Thank you Hicham and Mehdi!!!!
The beds could’ve been softer.
It’s a stunning riad in the middle of the medina. Beautiful rooms, wonderful food, super nice staff.
Beautiful property. We loved the tranquil surroundings and peacefulness of the space. The rooms were comfortable with nice touches (water, fruit), and staff were very attentive.
Very nice staff, easy to find, easy to move around the Rabat, great breakfast. We stayed in the room in the ground floor which was very cosy with quite a lot of space to move around. Also very nice lighting in the room.It was a big loud during the breakfast, so staff made sure to set up our table in a more quiet place directly in front of our room :)They even printed our boarding passes for the flight back home.Thank you for a nice time in Rabat!
The Riad is a charming mix of modern-zen and classic Moroccan interior design, done with very good taste. Behind the door, in an alley of the busy Medina, a vision of serenity and refined elegance opens up: the first courtyard is occupied by a pool (whose bright blue contrasts with the white washed walls) and in which banana trees, palms and yuccas of the hanging garden are reflected. Behind, an annex belonging to a 14th century riad , carefully restored , displays a glorious courtyard, richly decorated with traditional elements (Moorish arches, zellige, fountain); everywhere beautifully carved windows and doors, that open into the rooms (not large, but furnished in a refreshing modern style, with a few touches of local craftsmanship) and meticulously chosen details, as the modern paintings in the common areas. Some rooms (like ours, Pasha) offer spectacular views on the hanging garden and the pool, and the whole Riad becomes particularly suggestive in the evening, when the lights are turned on. Breakfast and dinner (on request) are served in the hall facing the swimming pool, and they are both exquisite - the white cheese and black olive tapenade are delicious- The icing on the cake is the fantastic staff: from the receptionists to the cook to the waiters to the cleaning ladies, everyone is efficient and kind, meeting the needs of the guests always with a smile. We have made three trips in Morocco, done long itineraries and stopped in many Riads, but Riad Zyo is certainly not only the best in Rabat, but in the top list of those we have frequented, for the art-gallery style of its minimalist elegance, matched with the charming attitude in the reception and services, typical of the true Moroccan hospitality. Thanks to all of you, Riad Zyo, and see you again in our next trip to Morocco!Elisabetta and Guido, Room Pasha, February 2025
The only suggestion I would like to give is to add a carpet/kilim and an armchair or small sofa in Room Pasha
A wonderful place to stay in Rabat! The staff were all so friendly, professional, and helpful. We received great hospitality. The hotel location is very convenient. And the building and the room decoration are magnificent. The breakfast was also great. Definitely recommend it. Thank you to all the staff so kind to us.
It is a minor thing…Because of our room’s location next to the beautiful patio and dining room, we were woken up by other guests chatting and taking photos from at 7am, every day. We like to wake up late on holiday, so that was the only concern we had. If you are not an early bird like us, use ear plugs or select a room in upper floor.
We were nicely greeted. Our room was great and breakfast was delicious.
Riad Zyo in Rabat is an absolute gem! My stay there was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were not only comfortable and impeccably clean but also beautifully designed. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay special, offering excellent service and always ready to assist with a smile. One of the standout features of this Riad is its prime location in Rabat, offering easy access to the city's attractions. Whether you're there for business or leisure, you'll find Riad Zyo's central location incredibly convenient. The Riad’s restaurant served delicious, mouthwatering cuisine, and I was particularly impressed with the variety and quality of the food. The breakfast spread was a delightful way to start each day of my stay.Riad Zyo's attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction is truly commendable. I can't recommend this accommodation enough for anyone visiting Rabat. It's a top-notch establishment with a fantastic team that made my stay truly exceptional. I can't wait to return!
Absolutely nothing !
Lovely large bedroom leading onto inner courtyard
Evening meal quality and range could be improved
Ryad Zyo was the first Riad we stayed at in Morocco. It is pretty convenient to get to - a short walk down a no-vehicle road. Staff was fantastic - from welcoming, greeting to departure - all was handled smoothly. We ordered dinner from restaurant and it was great.
I can't think of anything.
Very welcoming staff & beautiful historic suite, located in a fascinating medina. Recommended!
Just worth noting that the pool is surrounded by bedrooms and dining spaces, so more suited for a dip than a lounge.
