upgraded room vs tired looking complex. comfortable bed, clean room. aircon

When we entered our room, what I thought was a strong smell of bleach in the room, was actually overpowering smell of room deodorizer. The proprietor said the cleaner had overdone the spray. It was that strong we couldn't sit in the room and had to air it out for a good half hour.Also, it wasn't until the next morning (we had used our own towels the night before) we realised there was only one towel in the room and after stepping out of the shower, we had fluff all over our body from the towels. We had to have another shower and used our own towel! When I told the proprietor she said they were new towels!

Easy to find location just off the highway. Rooms were newer looking than other motels and price point was good.

Room was large and clean, with plenty of tea, coffee etc, microwave and a large clean bathroom. Price was excellent for the room and the motel staff relaxed and helpful. Rooms currently being renovated but didn't interfere with visit at all.

No wifi,Storm previous day apparently knocked out internet wifi system but, that was not highlighted on arrival and when key handed over , staff stated wifi password on the key!

It was clean and actually quite stylish. There was such a strong smell of cleaning product that it was a little sickening. And our air con was more like a fan - it was cooler outside than in.

I have a knee problem and was worried about the rug. Due to it having upturned corners, it is a tripping hazard. I have to watch how I manoeuvre over things.

Very good value for money. Room has been nicely refurbished, bar seating desk for meals, usual bar fridge coffee/tea arrangement. Shower was lovely, hot water, good pressure, quiet. Bed was very comfortable and room impeccably clean.Was a hot day so the swimming pool was a welcome bonus.

Enjoyed our stay, Lovely big clean room. All looked either new or well kept. Bathroom was excellent. Had a problem with the hair-dryer, but management was there within 2 minutes to fix the issue.

I believe they are building a restaurant on-site? That would be great as we didn't know the area and were tired after travelling.

Didn't stay, tape across the entry so looked closed, no one at reception, didn't get a msg advising how to get access until mid evening by which time I had gone to an alternative motel which was great....no recommend...

The room was lovely and clean and the staff were wonderful allowing us early access to the room, we were in town for a family funeral and the staff were very accommodating

Staff seems lovely from my short interactions. The room was clean and spacious with a view of the gardens and pool. Well priced budget accommodation located near a large park and set just off the main road into Gympie. Room was quite.

This will be an absolutely lovely place once/if they open the restaurant again.
