Mercure Gerringong Resort

Location was great. Need car. Not close enough to beach or shops to walk

The friendly professional staff receptionist and dinning room attendants are all very helpful

Out dated ,swimming pool for adults,would prefer heating!Also for hygiene,shampoo ,hand soap etc portion control,travel pack prefer.

We enjoyed the comfortable King-sized Bed. The room & location was fairly quiet, and we had a good sleep. The room has a fridge & kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits supplied. The TV was a fair way away from the bed but had a wall bracket that allowed it to rotate & tilt which made it ok to watch from bed. Breakfast was good, all you can eat buffet style with scrambled eggs, bacon sausages, mushrooms, baked beans, various breads which you toast yourself, pastries, fruits, cereals, juices. Quite good value for money. We found an amazing restaurant in Gerringong called The Nobe, it's a must try.

Room 315 was very run down, carpets stained & both the front door & door to the bathroom had paint missing everywhere on the door jamb, water damage to the bathroom door. It just looked tired and run down. I'm not a fan of the shower in the bathtub either. Toilet paper was like sandpaper. I'd expect better for $330 a night. The website photos made it look more up market than it actually was, we were a little disappointed overall.

We enjoyed the green garden spaces, the quiet location, easy to access the local shops, and swimming at the beach.

Love it when the motel says thar the restaurant is open and it actually IS with long hours and great selection, well done

Pool clean and good temperature, lovely clean tables around under umbrella shade, parking seamless. Stress free stay.

The room size and having a pool

The restaurant felt a bit like a function room, sparse and lacking character. It didn’t feel special to dine there which was a shame as we were looking forward to a meal there. Breakfast was lovely- many options however we were surprised to see tinned fruit. Plenty of other food though! The coffee machine wasn’t great, marking watery and weak coffees so we asked for espressos to be made as we spotted a proper coffee machine behind the bar.The pools were nice places to sit and swim. Beds are amazing- huge and comfortable.Bathroom was tired. Pool towels provided.

Didn't realise until we were checking out that there is an adults only pool.There isn't a direct route to reception and restaurant from our room - had to go through pool area or up a couple of flights of stairs.A table to eat at would be nice in the spacious room

Enjoyed Happy Hour - sitting outside on the deck. The room was excellent - had a great space (with a spa) - balcony was lovely to sit and enjoy the outdoors overlooking the pool !!!

Breakfast buffet very good and room very quiet located near pool and tennis court. Restaurant a little expensive.

Questioned about non payment of restaurant dinner bill but showed credit card payment so was assured it was corrected.

Very spacious room with sofa, large very comfortable bed, kitchenette, balcony and large TV.The Bella Char restaurant had fabulous meals prepared by their excellent top chef.

The buffet breakfast was disappointing, especially the coffee

The room had a bad smell.my wife couldnt sleep properly because of it.Breakfast was poor.

No plates or cutlery for cheese and crackers, 2 cups 2 glasses 1 spoon and a small milk

Dinner in restaurant was great and staff were very obliging.

Outside area was dirty, garden was a disgrace. We asked for sitting area to be cleaned but no action taken. Area lacked maintenance. On our departure we saw a gardener in the driveway garden trimming some agapanthus. Time would have been better spent tidying gardens behind our unit (238). The fence was falling down, only held up by two poles. When it rained, water came in the front door. The shower leaked every time it was used. The carpet was very sticky, needed a good shampoo. Overall, the property was tired given that it is a Mercure/Accor hotel.Given the cost of accommodation I would have expected a better facility. It will be interesting if anyone responds to my comments.

Nice breakfast included in the room charge. Beds were comfy, room was big. Shower was a dream!

Very clean and comfortable. Quiet. Close to all amenities.

Overall nice, quiet and naturally built location.

As a note for improvement, there were bugs when we returned to the room which we had to take care of. One of them was a cockroach, must have been the occasional case.
