Pros +
- A lot of open spaces, lots of different kinda of animals, various activities available for kids and grown ups.
- I loved all the animals right in front of our cottage. The cottage was well equipped and clean. The lady at the reception was lovely and helpful.
- Staff were very friendly. Great selection of animals that seem to be well cared for. We were there before Christmas and my daughter enjoyed helping them get ready for the 'santa-pony' photos. We enjoyed feeding the animals, playing tennis and a dip in the pool, despite a few frogs!
Cons -
- Not having a dishwasher and relying on guests to clean dishes meant that the standard of cleanliness of the dishes was not perfect - some plates were a bit greasy on the back.
- Not much
- The decor was very basic and couch had minimal support.

Lovely location and cosy and comfortable cottage. Close to coffee shop and wineries. Very easy check-in. Enjoyed walking around the grounds looking at the animals.
Very friendly staff and the kids loved being around the animals and being able to feed the alpacas and walking around the paddock with them. Lovely quiet area for a small family getaway.
Friendly staff.. Friendly Alpacas - apart from 1 who kept stealing food and pushing others away.. but that’s ok - he’s an Alpaca..
Not much
The privacy, the atmosphere and location
The decor was very basic and couch had minimal support.
Great location. Cottage was clean and comfortable. Bathroom had been recently renovated. Staff very helpful. Would stay again.
The kids, oh ok and the adults, loved the alpacas.
The freedom. The cleanliness
The location amongst the farm animals and the mountains was amazing.
Accommodation is basic but clean. Perfect for a family.
We have stayed here for the last couple of years, this year we noticed the sandstone cottages were a little run down. The bed linen needs a refresh, new doonas and pillows, the queen bedroom doona was all stained.
The front door handle was faulty and kept locking when we left it unlocked. The owner came to fix but then it happened again after a replacement lock. Our main concern was it was safety hazard. Bathroom needs a bigger floor mat, also maybe a door snake as during the night and mornings the cold air comes through the doors. Its a great location for us during our stay but the for the price for the weekend we think it needs a little revamp.
Cabins were comfortable and ours overlooked the Alpaca and animals so my little girls could head out and we could watch them safely. The place has a really lovely feel to it and we spent a while walking around each day.
Great place to stay with children and friendly staff
Very cold house with no heating for the childrens room. The water was also either very cold or very hot when first turned on with the taps not responding.
farm animals, cabins
accommodation rates bit high
Great place to stay with young family. Lots of farm animals around in big property and kids can go around feeding them. Staff are really friendly. All cottages are good size. Fun place to be with the group as well.
Little further away from the main town - Cessnock so if you want food options, you need to drive 30 minutes or so.
Kids really enjoy the close-up interaction with the animals! We stay in sandstone cottage and it’s just a very special experience. The staff are extraordinary too!
Loved this place. The staff and owners are lovely and so helpful. The room was large, clean and comfortable and the best part is of course the many alpacas that are right outside your door. They have such big personalities and are adorable, even when throwing a temper tantrum as they want all the food ?. My favourite part was getting up first thing and feeding them. All you hear are the numerous birds and the odd alpaca and it is so tranquil in an absolutely beautiful setting. Definitely recommend staying here if you love animals.
Nothing really
Animals and location
Building structures were falling apart. Parts of the accommodation were not properly clean. Some Amenities were substandard for the price charged
Tranquillity, the animals and wildlife... Vicky, Kristy were the best.... the property was beautiful. I can't wait to go back
Nothing at all
It was a great getaway for the whole family helped us unwind and enjoy the easter weekend with our friends. kids loved feeding the animals, playground and pool too.
Sandstone cottage 4 door wouldnt lock, but team fixed it for us. beds were not comfy and tv reception wasnt working most of the trip. lots of mozzies and flys even in the cottage at night so need to find solution to this. internet reception wasnt great.
