It’s location and facilities

We couldn’t sleep at night as our room was her noisy and our doors and room would shake as our room was at the end and I think there where vents or air conditioning units on the wall and our room was over a $1000 a night, way over priced. And for that price our car could not fit in there underground parking and we had to search for parking every night.

The property is a little aged. Overall staff was excellent and a great location!

Mattress was too wide for the frame, so sunk down in the middle and sloped down at the sides, but too short in length so pillows fell down the back, other than this stay was great, but bed was quite uncomfortable.

Great location. Staff were super friendly and gave a great Halloween experience for our grandchildren. Pool area was fantastic. Room was spacious and had everything you needed.

The room and location was great

The elevators where incredibly slow and had to take stairs with luggage and the staff were unprofessional and not very efficient. Check in was full of flies and didn't greet you with a very nice first impression.

Found the hotel to be really overpriced. No hot water for hours on 1 of the nights. Had to repeatedly follow up with staff as to resolution. We paid for a luxury room and balcony / windows faced the back of another building. Had a light shining through the bedroom each night. Was noisy with people walking past and staff emptying bottles into bins late at night / early morning. Walls are paper thin so could hear someone in the room next to us taking a very early morning shower. Staff not particularly friendly or helpful. This is our 2nd visit here and probably won't be in a rush to come back with how costly it is. Quite disappointing.

Beautiful views, great location, lovely pool, comfy beds.

Our room was dusty and we had no spare toilet paper rolls. Only minor issues but they're important little touches. Hopefully this was just a one-off....

Had a lovely view from our balcony out into the bay. Maintenace bought a bedside lamp as the light in the wall didn't have a bulb.

Location of the resort was outstanding. View from balcony was stunning, stayed in 1 bed Apt. Location was facing the beach front with shops, cafes, bar and restaurants all within walking distance. Pool area was large with plenty of sun beds. Parking available in secure carpark. We attended a wedding in the Country Club, so accommodation location was perfect.

Kitchen renovations. Could hear construction work but really wasn't too much of an inconvenience (view from the balcony made up for it). The apt itself was dated, and the bedroom was quite small, with not a lot of room for luggage.

Fabulous location; staff were great

Renovation works being done at the country club next door at the time meant it was closed and there was some noise associated with the works. Staff were very good and did what they could to minimize impact. Look forward to coming back when it’s all done!!

Location was great adjacent to Shoal Bay Country Club. They do a great breakfast at Mermaids. Apartment itself was massive, 3 bed 2 bathroom plus powder room, huge kitchen and a decent size fridge for the space. We were 2 couples and loved the space. Furnishings were exceptional. Bathrooms were fabulous. Air con was great too.

Not really a water view unless you were on the balcony. For such a massive apartment I felt that the bedrooms (at least the 2 double rooms) should have had a tv. for some reason there was a second tv in the dining area, which was open to the living space which already had a big smart tv. Didn't make sense at all. If both tv's were on you would here them over each other. Electrics had issues. The lights were weird, and flickered. No rhyme or reason to the switches in the living space. Coffee machine was not working properly, hit and miss.

Carpark is dark, although lights do come on, there is a delay. Didn’t like the step in shower and the floor very slippery when getting out - would prefer a walk in shower

Construction work starting early was a bit distracting and I guess it’s difficult to plan for at any time of the year. Unfortunately spoilt a nice stay.
