Golf Club Motor Inn Wingham

Great spacious room,nice outlook. Clean and very lovely ,genuine and helpful staff

We stayed here twice to and from our recent visit to Brisbane. The family (4 of us and a small dog) have stayed at the Wingham Golf Club Motor Inn on a total 7 occasions. Each time we have had a great experience especially as we travel with a pet. The owners are great with their communication and the rooms, at least the ones we have had, are very comfortable and clean. There is some kitchen cutlery and crockery supplied which is a bonus, but it is not a kitchen. The bathrooms have been a good size room for a motel and there is a nice pool as well. As a bonus, you can walk up to the golf club for dinner.

Generally things have been good for us, but it is worth noting that it is a 10km drive from Taree if you want to go there for cafes and restaurants.

Very clean, pool & at golf course but expensive considering age of accommodation & location - price was likely due to time of year and lack of alternatives available.

Bed could be more comfortable

it was standard

there was a hugley dangerous domestic violence situation overnight in the room next to me. I called the police who did not attend. there is no staff available overnight. I did not sleep and neither did the women who was being abused. It was horrific.

Lovely quiet, spacious motel with great restaurant.

We didn't avail ourselves of the breakfast so can't comment. However we did use the club's bistro for the evening meal and it was both delicious and plentiful and the staff were both very pleasant and helpful

There was nothing that we felt could be improved.

Power points at the bedhead would have been useful - charging of phones etc had to be done at the bench on the other side of the room. My partner uses a sleep mask, so with no power point he was unable to do so. :(

The room was lovely and clean, had plenty of space, the bed was comfortable and it was super quiet.

Excellent friendly helpful staff, very clean, well presented quiet and relaxing place.Forgot to take my key without knowing and when I returned one of the office ladies noticed be return and came and delivered it personally while I was searching through the car.

It was very comfortable, clean and had a great morning view of the golf course!

The pond is a bit ?

Availability last minute & late night personal check-in, convenient to my travel, good value for money, peaceful setting, very clean, large room, ground floor, free parking immediately outside the room, helpful staff.

The motel was spotlessly clean; the communication was excellent. It met all our needs for an overnight stay. Would highly recommend. We stayed in the family room and it was spacious and comfortable.

Restaurant was advertised as open on Sunday night. Only reason for booking there. Restaurant was closed, 1.5km walk into town and back to eat

The staff were extremely helpful and went out their way to accomodate even offering to get well above and beyond what was necessary. Every staff member encountered was proactive and helpful plus friendly. The facilities were modern and bedding and pillows were of a high quality and very comfortable to sleep on. Being that the facilities were modern I would feel it’s priced appropriately with far older accomodation that I have stayed at including the many dated 1960’s and 1970’s motels that had little upgrade between new owners. So staying at a nice newer inn here felt really nice. My car had broken down and with the oncoming possible cyclone motels near river arras were considered inappropriate due to flooding risks. With the risk of the Brisbane cyclone hitting port Macquarie and its rain shadow possibly flooding the local region, research had been undertaken to ensure the chosen location was well higher than a location that could flood. The staff were accessible on each occasion via phone call and even offered to pick me up finding out that I had broken down in vicinity to the motel. While I had a tow truck organised in the end, the offer to help showed that this facility is built on good values and I appreciate the help from Cody, AK and others. Finally I’d booked in for four nights and was upgraded from a standard room to a larger room at no extra for me. All in all, finding positive events like this is well worth the praise. I’d highly recommend this location. It is one of those gems (1% - 1 out of 100 locations) that we sometimes come across as part of our travels. Staff attended to washing at reasonable rates and provided a concierge-like service (minus ironing). Brilliant! Thank you to Cody, AK and the rest of the team!

As we were there for golf and to visit friends, the hotel as well placed. Rooms spacious especially the bathroom.

It's in a great location, just on the outskirts of Wingham. I had one of the rooms overlooking the lake and can't recommend it enough. The staff are great, and the room was super clean and tidy, as was the whole area surrounding the hotel. When we next visit Wingham we will definitely stay there again.

Restaurant in Gold Club next door was closed Tuesdays. Had to go into town to buy bottle of wine.
