Food

The hotel was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and perfectly located in town.

Due to heritage compliance, the windows in the guest rooms were original glass and therefore were unable to be opened for fresh air. It was also impossible to see through them, so no view. This was the only negative. I would stay at Tattersalls Hotel again.

Beautifully decorated, elegant and great design. Spotlessly clean. The Restaurant was excellent.

Nice clean hotel. Unfortunately, the frosted glass can make me a little claustrophobic. Great breakfast.

Restaurant- terrible meals Expensive and awful- 5 chips and a steak that was overcooked not the size it was meant to be and had a kerosene taste

Where do I start? I was absolutely blown away with the hotels attention to detail. I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world & this one blew me away. A very special gem of a hotel. We had dinner in the restaurant & my steak was outstanding. The staff friendly & professional. Nothing to fault.

Breakfast was ok. The chef did nice cooked food but the ‘continental’ option was ordinary.

The dinner was outstanding - best meal out I’ve had in a while. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal along with a few ASHAI beers ? The room was so beautiful, Victorian setting and so classy.

I’m fussy with pillows - would like a firmer pillow and better block out curtains for a darker room.

The ambience excellent food and wine combined with fabulous customer service made for a great stay. The hotel restorations we thought were impressive.

The dining room decor was a tribute to the attention to detail in the restoration process making the memorable evening dinner and breakfast most enjoyable

This is a beautiful hotel, and I enjoy staying here (my third time). The rooms are well-appointed, and very clean and comfortable. Travelling on my own, I love the fact that I can have dinner and breakfast in the lovely dining room and feel welcome and comfortable (and they cater well for Coeliacs).

Location and old charm.

Couldn't open windows relaying on AC all the time. Also, there was a strong odour of cleaning liquids or something like that.

The bed and pillows

The impractical round chairs; why not just add a bit of comfort by adding sofas. We struggled to carry our bags from the car (in the rain) into the lobby as the car park is a good 50m away.
