The room was very cosy and the motel is well situated.

Cute room, close to where we needed to be.

Unstaffed over night, so when the fire alarm was set off at 2am there was no one to turn it off for approx 45 mins.

Good location and very good value for money

Tired and dated, needs attention

We didn't receive the room we requested. For some reason the room we were given was a disability room. There was dangerous, slippery mossy car park area outside the room. garbage bins adjacent to the room and communal ashtray opposite the front door. Felt we were overcharged given information provided by other guests, despite booking several weeks in advance.

it was close to town

The split system wasn't working properly and no heat coming out of it , even tho it was on. We were freezing in the night and even tho we put a blanket on the bed. After travelling from Victoria and being tired, we didn't sleep well as it was too cold and the bathroom was like a freezer! there was no one to call or ask as we arrived late. Why were we given a disability room ? We wont recommend this motel and wont be coming here again ! very disappointed after reading the reviews, I expected more

Too many bits and pieces,must make it hard for cleaners I don't like plastic flowers they are dust collectors

Good old fashioned hospitality. My kids loved the feel of the place. Little touches that are lovely. Friendly staff. Good quiet location.

Breakfast was provided on request as room service. The room was well appointed, and the owners very friendly and helpful. The hotel was a twenty minute walk from the town centre. There was a bakery, laundry and restaurant nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

A great basic hotel with a quirky New England vibe about the decor. Very friendly check in experience, allocated parking spaces and clean room. Everything you could need for a short stay, and certainly more personality than most generic hotel rooms these days.

Personally not a fan of International Roast sachets as coffee on offer

The White Lanterns motel was comfortable and reasonably close to town, about a 15-20 mins walk. It is a lot like staying at "Grandmas house", in that it is a bit overly decorated with gilt mirrors and fake flowers.

It was okay, wasn't a fan of the overly decorated room, too much furniture and as mentioned above the fake flowers etc.
