Nothing to much, just found the room a little dark
The bed is so super comfy, having the restaurant next door was perfect and great location
Great having a sizeable and well staffed restaurant attached to the facility that caters for a wide range of tastes. The 2 room suite was exceptionally large and well appointed
Will not stay elsewhere in Armidale after trying the Rydges. The price was extremely competitive
Front desk very helpful. Complimentary guest laundry excellent.
Breakfast was not very extensive. Would have liked more bread choices other than toast.
The dining room
The carpet was very stained and uncleanThe hotel needs a makeover Have stayed there before when it was upmarket
Essentially this was a secure, entry-level motel room. All the usual facilities, no frills. We really appreciated that our room was well away from the stairs so noise wasn’t an issue for us.
This breaks my heart, but here goes: We booked for 4 people (2xA, 2xC) for 2 nights and it stated 2x Queen beds. In reality, it was only 1x Queen bed plus 1x fold out sofa bed. The fold out was extremely uncomfortable with a ditch so deep it hosted two thick pillows in the centre to level it out. Worst sleep in ages and we all experienced it because we needed to rotate so everyone could have a turn sleeping. Had we known this sleeping arrangement, we’d not have booked. Also, had we known it wasn’t really a ‘Rydges’ (as in, the hotels we know well), we’d have booked at the local country motel instead and saved the premium price. Obviously Rydges are buying up properties and broadening their brand offerings. We made our own beds between nights and tea & coffee wasn’t replenished during stay. Only two black tea bags were provided for the entire stay and only decaf coffee so no effort was gone to accomodate the booking for 4 with only two cups provided in the room and one teaspoon. Mould in the silicone of the shower and the usual soap scum remaining in the bathroom basin (which I know is from it just being wiped down with a towel between stays and not cleaned properly with cleaning products). Overall, super disappointing.
Location was fine, just a short walk to nearby restaurants and shops. Spacious room with a very large flat-screen TV attached to the wall. Comfortable bed.
Electric milk frother was not clean and had a layer of dust/dirt inside the container. Decor showing its age.
i am a very light sleeper and i made a few simple requests. the staff did an excellent job in assisting with room location requests. it didnt cost rydges a cent and i wasnt after anything extra. but it was a pleasant experience to have them read the request and assist me. 10 OUT OF 10 TO THE STAFF FROM ME !!
Rooms are great
Restaurant Food was ordinary. Hate turkish food. Stayed last year before it went turkish and it was good. Why would you change something that works. Not many turkes in rural nsw Restaurant was closed on Sunday, very inconvenient
Central location.
Half the lights in the room didn’t work and the light switches were in weird places.
Clean, modern, beautiful helpful staff.
Spaciousness in the room, plenty of towels and it was clean
Checking in was easy and the staff was super friendly, patient with questions and explaining where to park even rating the restaurant and what to eat! . A solid welcome and standard set which was held throughout the time staying there.
Aircon in room 223 was not up to standard, felt like it didn't blow or cooled the room. I think if this was in summer it would have not been happy.
Staff very friendly.
The food in the bar restaurant was almost inedible. It was very poor - they apparently had staff off sick. I couldn't eat it.The room had a humming noise outside that went all night.
Second time being here lovely and clean
The Lighting, the shower with the spa, had a hard time getting in . No clock radio in the bedroom
Spacious room, well equipped
Upstairs..booked early so should have been offered lower room ( one with severe cardiac condition)
Second stay. Convenient location, clean rooms, comfortable.
Beds were comfortable, the receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly
The room smelt badly and was not very clean
