Pros +
- Fantastic staff! So helpful.
- The pool
- The room was very nice, the pool was very nice.
Cons -
- I am 78 and have a hard time lugging a suitcase up stairs, it would have been nice if reception either told where the lift was or offered us a ground floor room.
- Bed was fairly hard
- Tired and run down. Even the chairs in the dining room look like they have been there for 20 years. I’m sure it once was a very good resort but it appears they have not put any money back into the resort.

The room was very nice, the pool was very nice.
Didn't get told beforehand about the bond payable on the day. Found out on the day the breakfast only covered two of the three of us. Had to pay extra for my other daughter to have breakfast. The spa shown on the pics had been filled in with dirt. Went for a final swim in the pool after breakfast. Got back to the room at 9.58am to collect our luggage to leave for 10.00 checkout. Room card had already stopped working and we couldn't retrieve our luggage/belongings. Had to go back to reception to organise to regain access to the room.
The koi pond was beautiful, kids loved it along with the bird cage/enclosure
Nothing to dislike
The resort feeling and the amazing golf course and facilities
It needs a revamp to modernise the look including the rooms.
Location was amazing and very comfy beds, oh and great water pressure in the shower. The gardens are absolutely beautiful.
Would've been nice to have milk. We couldn't get an early check in so only used the room for 4 hours as we had to leave at 2am to get back to Geraldton for work.
easy to park, nice view
the building needs some maintenance, shower hook not secure on wall, basin tap needs attention, balcony not clean (broken glass, spider webs etc)
Love the old Bali feel - trees, pool & restaurant.
There’s no cupboard under the handbasin & not much space to put toiletries.
We had a lovely quiet room overlooking the stunning gardens. We enjoyed the open spaces, fresh air & wildlife. The swimming pool was wonderful and we enjoyed casual dining at 28 Cafe. It felt like a relaxing getaway & yet we were close to Shops, Restaurants, Joondalup City.
The Resort building was looking her age. A bit ‘tired’ in places. The car park was quite a walk from the rooms but there was an elevator for the second floor which was a relief!
The tree nine holes golf courses, combined or alone, are a great challenge, and pleasure. Difficult, but fair, the score of the second round improves. The staff is friendly.
We selected the Joondalup resort in the Perth area for its golfing. Infrastructure: three nine holes courses, which we intended to play during four days. So we booked five nights over Booking.com. We checked in at the hotel in the afternoon and first thing we did was to go to the Proshop and schedule the first three days of golf. The staff was very friendly, reservations were made and we received the indication to check with reception to benefit of their “stay and play” offer. So I returned to the reception and told them about that. The receptionist in charge said this was not possible, because it had to be booked together with the hotel prior to coming. And anyway, we booked using booking.com, not directly with the resort. We would benefit from reduced green fees as hotel guests, and that was it.That evening, this attitude felt unacceptable to me, so I decided to speak to the manager next day. Unfortunately, the manager was not available, so I filed my complaint with the receptionist who would transfer to her manager. I returned to the reception the next day and left exactly the same message that it is unacceptable to me to be denied eligibility for “stay and play”. The third time I went to the reception to speak to the manager was on checking out day. Again the manager was not here and the manager never called as both receptionist had told me he or she would. It is not a matter of money, it is a matter of principle, of attitude and of being treated respectfully. I will never come again and I encourage everyone who wants to play golf in Perth to stay at the Vines resort, where they have 4 beautiful nine hole courses, and where the commercial attitude includes welcoming, hats, drinks, and a friendly atmosphere.
Location position peaceful
Bed uncomfortable shower gel empty
Golf course as a back drop was lovely
Some areas require good clean and some areas require updating
Pool area is great. and breakfast is very good.
Rooms are now tired. And some of the service was a real issue. We ordered meals from the bar, which came up cold twice. The bar manager was wonderful and clearly embarrassed but some of the rest of the staff were not so polite. We ordered $200 of lunch but were told as it arrived we were not allowed to also have our own food in the food area (my father in law is diabetic so we always have to carry some snacks)/. the food we had for my father in law was tiny!
We loved to be able to unpack and then go down and dive into the pool, so relaxing. We enjoyed our evening meal and also our delicious breakfast. Restaurant was really nice and staff were excellent in serving our needs. Quiet cozy rooms, Beds were cozy and comfortable. The aviary was lovely to see birds in pairs and so many different varieties.
For elderly people it was hard to shower as you had to hop over the bath, and the shower head only had one position, so it hit you in the face. No handrails in bath/shower which was very scary trying to hop over the bathtub into shower. Plug blew out and lights didn't work on the bed side due to this issue
My room was great, the bed comfortable, room spacious. Restaurant food was delicious.
Banging either outside or above my room when I was trying to sleep, the toilet wasn't flushing properly, the mechanism inside was getting stuck at times and I had to release the mechanism for the water to stop flowing.
Location good, pool was good when not busy, meals were nice , vista and views nice.
Shower had soap scum on glass, shower head loose and not able to move it around, water shaped through the shower onto the outside in bathroom soaking the bath mat.
Swimming pool, golf course
Friendly staff and nice environment
Setting and location. Close enough to the shopping areas but far enough away. Everything you need on site, restaurants with varying menus, bar, delicious buffet breakfast and the pool. If your a golfer you can make full use of the range and course. Something to try next time. Room and beds were comfortable, heaps of carparking. The 24 hour check in and reception was super helpful, after driving for 13 hours we arrived outside of 'normal' hours. We stayed in the garden view room and had a view of the pool.
No real issues during our three night stay. Some wear and tear throughout the rooms which could be addressed but nothing that should put any one off.
Pool Area
Bathroom is old, dirty and needs some serious work. Also rooms are very noisy
