Tidewater Motel & Tourist Park

Very small and hot room. Would be good for a single, not great for a couple.We should have booked the bigger cabin. Kitchen and bathroom facilities were really good.Outdoor space was lovely and a nice view.

The room was very warm but cooled down after keeping the window open. The window on the door was broken which wasn't great for sound insulation, though people speaking in the courtyard could generally be heard very well in the dorm anyway. Wish toilets had been closer.

The parking layout, it was hard to reverse out when cars are parked along the fence line.

Very clean and comfortable. Great facilities and WiFi. Very helpful and kind staff. Great location near the town. Would definitely recommend.

A little bit expensive for a shared room

We stayed in a basic cabin. The whole place is beautifully maintained with a lovely view across the water and mountains. Relaxed atmosphere and everything is kept very clean. Good location to walk into the town and easy to access the rest of the Coromandel. Our room was basic and good value if you just want somewhere to sleep. The communal areas are nice too with lots of seating areas and places to relax.

I booked one night and decided to extend upon arrival. I slept in a single room as well as the female dorm. The Motel is neatly kept but the lovely owners. Everything is clean and every detail considered. The kitchen is one of the cleanest shared kitchens I seen with awesome equipment. The living room so comfortable me and some other guests had a film night there. Please of outside seating under a roof (which was good as we got a bit of rain), clean and accessible bathrooms and showers.The back garden has a beautiful view all the way down to the water with palm trees and also serves as a campground for tents and campervans (stunning location)! There is a beautiful lovely cat hanging around which adds to the vibe. She won’t come to your room or interact with you unless you want to ♥️The owners are a nice funny couple who are welcoming and hanging out with guests. They are lovely and made everyone feel at home. I would truly recommend anyone staying here, from solo traveler to group to campers to family. Best location on coromandel!

Called to inquire about where we could park our car at 9:20pm as there was no available parks at the accommodation- and nowhere to park on the street as it was a highway (we had already checked in earlier that day). Our query was responded to with "I'm in bed" with an irritated voice, before we were given an unclear solution. Wasn't particularly upsetting or anything, we just thought that was a strange thing to be saying to a paying customer!

Liked that they would take a one night acomodation booking. The place we stayed in last year now has a two night minimum....so their loss and Tidewaters gain. We will be back next year to stay again. Also the facilities were excellent, clean and tidy. Very short walk to the CENTER of town as well.

Probably only that I couldn't park outside my cabin but that is only because of the room I booked. Next time I'll book a motel room.
