Hotel Maharana Palace

Well located in Mathura, Staff was very useful especially Pradip Singh.

There were insects crawling close to the kettle. Difficult to get breakfast, couldn't get it one morning as there are no specific hours. Difficult to pay by international credit card (initially had only local credit card readers and had to pick up another machine).

TV in room was not working and the explanation by staff was that it is due to monkey menace which just seems to be an excuseRestaurant was also NOT operational though it was mentioned in the service details that 24-hour Room Service No LIFT in the hotel but was NOT explicitly mentioned in their description and we had lot of problems taking stairs as we both are senior citizens with knee problems

Staffs were supportive and well behaved

Cleanliness was like zero, no hygiene maintained neither at room nor at kitchen

The food was ok. Room was spacious.

Room and bathroom were not clean enough. Staff was not active, gyser problem, although food was ok but not according to price. Specially the poha was pathetic but dinner was ok. And yes bed was also not good.

The location was good for Holi festival.

The place was not clean and poorly maintained for the price. Taps and floors that never saw a real brush. The boiler and shower also didn't work properly so we had to wash ourselves in the tap below the shower head.

- the room was very dirty - no real shower, only backet shower - they don’t take cards - mold in the rooms ( I have to change 2 rooms to find one without mold)

The stuff was very kind and helpful. I was there on holi festival time, they helped me to catch tuk tuk, to get in the nearby villages.Mr. Harveer, the Hotel manager is very kind,he speaks English, on last day arranged me a taxi to the Delhi Airport.

My room was on first floor, near the restaurant, on evening time was very noisy.

The restaurant, staff and food only was good. I would visit again for the food.

The rest. The room, everything was worn out, not clean, stains, rats etcI will definitely not stay in this hotel again

Staff were great and very accommodating.

Hotel was dirty, shower didn’t work, hallway light was visible through door, bed was uncomfortable. Okay for a one night stay, but I wouldn’t stay here for longer.

Staff support and availability was 10/10. I asked to change my room and it was done promptly. It is a clean and centrally located property. Easily Accessible from major attractions in the city, eateries and restaurants are also nearby. Rooms and services are justified for the amount.

There are some rooms on property which are less ventilated as compared to others.

Location wise the hotel is good.easily assessible from railway or bus station.staff were cooperative.Pradeep singh ji was also cooperative.overall stay was good and comfortable.thank you

common areas could have been cleaner, but wasnt overly dirty either

the manager and team are really kind, they help me to get my bus the next day and offer me a nice chai. everyone are really kind

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was travelling alone and felt safe there, which was my priority. I slept very well each of the 3 nights I stayed there. The breakfast was good.

The sheets could have been cleaner, but I had a sleeping bag liner so wasn’t bothered. I was disappointed there was no window to the outside world. They could do with fixing the hole ?️ by the sink on the bathroom floor as it makes it easy for rodents… However the bathroom door had a lock so nothing will come in the bedroom. And the fan scare’s anything away before you open the door.

The location was within walking distance to the train station and the main points of town. We were allowed to check in while we searched for an ATM to obtain rupees to pay our bill. The staff were friendly!

The mattress felt like it was no more than 10 cm thick. The electricity went off three times before we fell asleep. The wifi did not work at all. We were given a small soap no more than 4 cm square and 1 mm thick to share between two people and the hot water heater did not work.

Everything else. At over 4K rupees a night, this place is OBSCENELY OVERPRICED. If the rooms are gloomy and tired, the worst is by far the bathroom, fitted with rickety plastic taps with hardly any water pressure.
