- Location was central, apparently food was supposed to be good but we couldn't get a booking as they were to busy.
- We arrived right on closing time after a very long day of travel, and the staff were super friendly. And I still managed to squeeze in a drop of the local brew. It's a really old pub, but the rooms had been upgraded and the beds were super comfortable. We stayed in two rooms, a double and a single, and both good. The double was a little tight because of the size of the bed. The men's and women's bathrooms were super clean with lots of hot water. And the gent who booked us in, directed us to a fantastic coffee shop right next door for our morning brew and brekkie. We regretted not getting to the Caledonian a little earlier, they had a pretty good meals menu, and it looked like a really nice pub ambience.
- Location is ideal. Accommodation was satisfactory for the money paid. Food at the Cally is always very good
Cons -
- No air-conditioning room temperature was at least 25 Celsius at night,, My child bitten by bed bugs, uncomfortable beds, , The corridor leading to the bedrooms smelt of urine. Rooms full of dust,
- All good. It's an old building so expect the floors to creak, and doors to rooms to be small.... it's a historic building and precisely the reason we picked it.Two slight issues. If you use the rear escape stairs to go to your car after pub is shut-down, there is no light. Maybe a movement detector with small floodlight would be good. And we'd made a small midnight snack and wanted to wash our plates and there wasn't a small basin in the guest lounge. Now, I'm being really picky...
- A group that were leaving late in the evening had placed a wine glass under the front wheel oy my car parked outside.I noticed it in the mornig. No fault of the staff who would not have known what had happened.

Good to have the lounge next door to our room.Had breakfast there.

Location & friendly staff
The showers did not work at all!
The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Best location and great food when I ate there!
Really can’t think of anything! I think the only thing that would’ve been good was bottled rather than tap water in the water bottle dispenser thing in the common room. It tasted like the tap water!
It’s an iconic Hotel (Inn), classy, atmosphere, staffed and is inclusive of all visitors- literally everyone is welcomed.
Great convenient location .Tom and Jordan were such personable lads that added to the experience
Friendly staff, clean room and bathrooms. Good values for the night passing through Robe.
Bit of noise from the pub downstairs but only until around 10.30 as it was a weekday.I think there was a power cut of some sort from 10pm to 5am, so lights, sockets, WiFi etc didn't work.
Did have a nice meal there
I am 170 cm and the bed was too short for me.
Beautiful character and the rooms very clean and decorated lovely. Friendly staff.
Great staff. Amazing location
Drunk people from the pub came and knocked on my door during the night before the pub had closed
Great old pub with a lot of history in a Great location. Its kept its old charm with the rooms. Nice food and cold beer. Will stay there again.
Excellent location. Clean. convenient. Historical building.
The bathroom and toilet area was clean but unfortunately smelled very strongly of stagnant urine. The whole area outside the bathrooms had the smell.Wifi info was not provided and I did not realise until staff had left...would be good to be written down. Bed was a bit short and I am not a tall person, feet were hitting the bar at the end. Another blanket would be good
Beautiful and quirky heritage building including a pub! Staff were kind enough to give me fruit and butter from the kitchen when I asked for it. Robe in general was surprisingly lovely.
I had to leave :(
Very friendly staff great food nice and handy to walk to everything
Shared bathroom but that can’t be helped very clean and not to far from rooms
Great shared accommodation. We are a family of 4. We booked two rooms with shared bathroom. The rooms were lovely and beds comfortable. The staff were wonderful. Make sure you go and have a drink (write your name on the roof) and a delicious meal at the Cally. You’re right in the heart of town. Next to the ocean and a great track to the lookout and the obelisk - worth a walk/ride/scooter.
As mentioned it’s a shared bathroom, however guests eating upstairs also have access to the guest bathroom. However when we were there it was very clean, we didn’t really see any patrons. we showered in the morning when the pub was shut. No issue.
The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel close to the beach
The room had a very unpleasant smell as well as the shared bathroom men’s toilet that we could smell from the terrace. Not the best hotel for a family because you ll have to pay 2x rooms which becomes expensive. the toilets are shared between
Good location & good food
The shared bathroom was also open to the public. Very noisy when people leaving the pub late at night.
Location and clean facility
Noice wasn’t aware that a live band was on must admit the music was good, we had a big day travelling the following day didn’t get to sleep until 2.00am
