Guichen Bay Motel

Good location and really good value for the cost. Room was to be expected for the price and vintage of this hotel. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Noise from the rooms next door was quite evident.

Lovely stay, excellent facilities, well placed in Robe, clean quiet room

It was a nice clean motel room. The bed was relatively comfortable but it doesn't have a nice pillow top. It had everything you could need for a short stay.

The HDMI port for the TV was inaccessible. So couldn't attach my FireTV dongle.

Simple room that was perfect for an overnight stay in Robe. This place proves that you don't need lots of fancy amenities to have a comfortable and relaxing stay,

The room was bright, modern and clean with all the facilities needed. It was enjoyable to stay there. I love the cafe that was located next door and was really lovely. great food and coffee.

The bed was a little firm but it was ok. It was all good.

Easy to find main street location and a great seafood meal and drinks at the Caledonian Inn just down the street. Adequate pre - communication of keys and room.

I guess I will become accustomed to not seeing anyone on site.

Covered off on pretty well everything. Short walk to the Caledonian. Rooms clean and obviously revamped.

Not much at all really. Facilities were smallish but still fine. Found it hard to top up the kettle with water as the tap angle in the basin was awkward.

Clean room, comfortable bed, had a microwave, great location, great value for money.

No complaints at this price point.

Great value clean and comfortable room

Our particular room was a bit noisy until the kitchen in the restaurant closed However that quieted down at about 11pm

The location was great, right off the main street into Robe. Lots of cafes to enjoy and a nice beach walk. Very spacious and clean room with a comfortable bed. Check-in was easy with the instructions that were messaged to us, we didn't have any issues. The room lets in a lot of light during the day too which was nice

The bathroom was a little small and showerhead quite low which doesn't suit tall people

Location was great and the room.was very clean, smelled amazing when we walked in. It was everything we needed for a one night stay. No reception but check in and out was easy and fuss free. Enjoyed the outdoor seating in the sun on a winters day. EV charging station there too for anyone requiring that.

Didn't get much sleep as we found the bed uncomfortable ?

Non-existent staff!! Remote control / being a NO contact business is NOT a good look in the hospitality/ accommodation industry. Tried to phone "reception" (that physically does not exist!) on THREE separate occasions after dinner/ before bed as the shower base had water bubbling up out of the plug hole. It was obviously a blockage, as even when brushing our teeth at the hand basin, that water was causing the shower to bubble up and we were scared the room/ carpets would flood so we couldn't shower at all - still an issue the next morning but what could we do?? The owners/ managers weren't even returning our messages, let alone call in, as one might expect, as I had explained in my voice-mail what our problem was, and they had blocked the other phone we use, so we just had to leave un-showered and feeling unpleasant and extremely frustrated, disappointed and a tad angry! Everyone had told us how wonderful Robe is, well THE GUICHEN surely let the team down in that tiny town in a major way. Not that hard to answer your phone, &/or return a call people!! Disgusted to say the least... It has taken me a while to send this review as I was struggling to find one redeeming memory from that one night stay! Also.... owners/ managers you really need to.... Lift your game and realise it's us the paying customers that keep you in employment

Great handy location, nicely set out inside. Quiet at night.

Great location, walking distance to all cafes, pubs, beach, wharf, shops. No reception on arrival or staff, however the communication via text for our room number and entry was extremely easy. Even though the rooms little smaller than what we have experienced prior, the outlay certainly worked and great storage cupboard for suitcases, bags and clothes. Parking our car was easy, however just keep in mind to exit out the back of the property as this makes it easier when cars parked vertically. Will definitely use this accommodation again if ever passing through. We would rate this 9/10

No one to great you at reception and my overseas phone didn't work so I couldn't get in.

I don’t typically get the room serviced when only staying a night or two, and because of that, we ran out of toilet paper because we were only given one roll for a family room. I didn’t realise there was just the one until it was too late!

Great modern rooms, very comfortable bed and central location. Would definitely stay again.

Really easy stay! Don’t need to check in with anyone in person, super easy, same as check out. Very cute place, great central location and parking.

Only thing is the walls were think we could hear the people next door but didn’t really bother us.
