Pros +
- I really loved this little gem of a campground. We booked the Lotus Belle Tent and it was so spacious and warm and the bed was comfy, a glamping experience without the pricetag. The host Nina was lovely and so welcoming. This campground has an awesome playground at the front, swimming pool next door. A food truck was on site in the evening. Its close walking distance to Greytown main street which is so quaint and has beautiful shops, supermarket a quick walk as well. A nice bushwalk there too. you can hear the native birds. The camp has a nostalgic yesteryear feel, like the kiwi campsites of old, I liked that about it, would recommend to other travellers.
- Excellent location, very helpful friendly staff. Well run. Great facilities for kids.
- The only problem I had was a faulty heater which the owner did try to fix but didn't completely work.
Cons -
- The amenities are older but it gives that old school feel,. The womens toilet at the back of the amenities building could do with a light outside as its dark when you go to the bathroom at night, and I felt a little uneasy walking around the back in the dark to go bathroom. But other than that I loved this place.
- There wasntv really anything to dislike!

Enjoyed our stay at the Greytown Camground. The cabin was very clean, as were the bathrooms. The staff were super-friendly, and thought that it was great value for money!

The campground is very cute and neat. The wagon where we stayed was very aesthetic. Small but everything is complete. It was a nice experience. The toilet and shower were also clean.
Well located, picturesque setting, friendly and helpful staff and clean and comfortable stay.
Liked it all.
Cool wagon cabins and lovely comfortable bed and pillows.
The location was great, walking distance to town. Loved the gypsy caravan, excellent novelty feature.
Would have been good to have a small fridge in caravan.
The awesome gypsy caravan
Suggestion....could repaint the white line on the concrete path by the laundry, worried someone may trip at night.
Good facilities, nice room, and good setting. Good proximity to town - easy walk. Bathrooms and kitchens good also.
We stayed in the gypsy caravan, which was cosy and a unique experience. It was clean and tidy and comfortable.
Unfortunately, it was raining, so we had to make dashes over to the toilet block. But there was nothing wrong with the accommodation itself ?
Cabin was clean and bed was comfy Hot shower
Not a lot of kitchen utensils
We booked thru Booking.com arrived about 10AM told by a Grumpy Man that you had to arrive at 3pm.He then proceed to Office, looking up computer and said you have a Dog, Yes he was right Booking.com told him because we booked with a Dog. We were then refused entry to his little empireWe left and found a Great Motel called Greyfriars 138 Main street Greytown. I would NEVER recommend anyone to stay at the Motor Camp the Lessee needs to learn a bit of how to treat their Customers.
A Better Manager
The accommodation itself was immaculate. Lovely setting and lovely little hut.
The bathroom facilities could’ve been a touch cleaner, ie all the bugs/moths wiped away. Other than that perfectly fine to use.
Facilities a bit dated tho functional. Toilets, showers great, maybe toilets could do with a sweep & hose out, apart from that clean. Didn't use the the kitchen but it seems others did and all looked good. Beds comfortable. Cabin clean. Good location kids could walk to the shops.
Good and quick communication. Cabin was real clean. Bathroom & toilet was also very clean.
Nice small setup in lovely little town. Friendly and funny manager.
Good
It was cold and so quiet, also I was very itchy I couldn't stay, I was wondering if there were fleas there? I couldn't stop scratching and I'd had a shower and everything.
I stayed in the wagon, and it was an absolute delight. The bed was super comfy, clean, and super quiet to stay in. I loved it. I loved all the little touches (fairtrade organic coffee and tea, and soap supporting the environment)
The dishwashing detergent could have been the eco-brand! :-0
brilliant park grounds full of very large and old native trees which enhance the native bird life and results in a brilliant dawn chorus. I like the cabins mounted on wheels. excellent WIFI
