The location, the flowers, the staff

It was a bit small for the 3 of us, but we managed. Would totally stay here again.

Beautiful view and really clean room. Love the deck and the birds. Nice running path along the bay right out front. Real close to the cute town of Akaroa.

Bed was a little too hard and the pull out in the couch was really uncomfortable.

Very nice spacy studio, great view.We got stucked here in rainy day and it was perfect place for relax. And they let us stay with our dog ? ?

Stream in shower was weak

Location was lovely right in the beach. Hotel next door for a meal.

While effort has been made to renovate the unit it was dirty. A good clean would hv made all the difference.

Sofa bed not very comfortable.No central heating but there were blow heaters

The view was lovely

We could hear our upstairs neighbours walking around till midnight and the plumbing was very loud in the walls.

It was cosy, lovely views of the bay. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Easy drive into Akaroa town. Bed was comfortable.

Shower was quite small. No heater in bathroom.

The location

One of the beds was a sofa bed with a very old mattress with springs poking through and squeaking whenever you moved. The column heater was also very noisy.Also, just as well we were traveling with our own coffee and plunger.There was no photos of the place when booking so we didn't know what to expect.

It was in a lovely location overlooking the bay. It was quiet with a great sea breeze. The full moon over the water was a bonus! Excellent walks were right at the door. An appealing old-fashioned vibe.

Water pressure in shower was poor. Layout of bathroom was on the tight side, small shower and I don’t like shower domes. No bedside table on one side of bed was quite annoying. No luggage racks either. No Sky TV which was disappointing also.

Lovely view from the room & pretty location. Enjoyed the Bellbird right outside our room.Excellent, friendly, genuine hosts.

It did not meet our expectations in terms of cleanliness and room set up.The cleanliness was the biggest issue- windows were dirty, there were flies & insects stuck on the roller blinds and the skirting boards hadn't been cleaned properly. The overall lack of cleanliness made the stay less comfortable than we had hoped.The room layout was not ideal. The TV was placed on the dining table instead of being mounted on the wall, which felt like a poor use of space. The couch was far too big for the size of the room, making it feel cramped. In the bedroom there wasn't enough space & the lack of bedside tables made it inconvenient.The garden area was unkept and the lawn area not mowed. A shame, as the gardens are lovely. The addition of a plug in stove top/hob for cooking would be ideal in the kitchen.Overall, the stay was disappointing and we wouldn't choose to return unless improvement where made.

Could not cook a meal

Staff very welcoming and attentive.

Told on arrival that breakfast was not really available at the moment - “Only minimal supplies available today”. TV far too small. Hedge too high to see the beach immediately across the road. Otherwise fine.

Wonderful place not far from akaroa itself. Warmly greeted and we were able to drop stuff off early as we had a boat ride. Would come back

more affordable than Akaroa township. Excellent bed

The view was lovely. The rooms were ok. They were very clean. The bathroom was clean and tidy

The section/garden needed a lot of work as did the decks at the ground floor. It was very untidy. The shower was quite small.

NOT the motels fault, neighbours arrived back early hours of the morning and were VERY noisy, singing and talking loudly. She didn't even have a good voice! Ranch slider didn't lock and was a struggle to open & close
