Pros +
- Great stay at an unique property! Clean and has all the amenities it needs. Great info on area and where to go and what to do. Would recommend and stay again!
- Loved our stay here and wish it could have been longer than one night. This place is such an eco friendly gem! Very comfortable, clean and well thought out. The restaurant next door has fabulous food too.
- What an absolute gem of a place. Quirky yet so well configured. You don't lose comfort because it's fun and interesting. The bed was top notch with lovely bedding, multiple pillows, fabulous little kitchen with everything you could need in the drawers. It's a place we'll remember.
Cons -
- The room get pretty hot and their is no aircon. At night it cools down and the room is fine to sleep in. There is mosquito spray in property, but between car park and room you can get hammered, so ensure you use some prior.
- No complaints! But for taller people, the coat racks are under the stairs so watch your head. As well, the washroom flush lever also turns on the tap for the washroom sink and it will automatically stop eventually. So don’t worry that you cannot turn it off.
- When we got there after 6 in the evening, room was cold and the water heater against the wall was not working, had to use the little plug in heater to try and warm the room.

I stayed in Silo 4, it was the one on the corner. This was nice as my bedroom had an unobstructed view of the neighbouring hills. Such a neat concept! I loved the design, bed was comfortable, and the staff took the time to prepare an info booklet for your stay to answer any questions you may have. The roof vent was hard to keep open but eventually I got the clam hole outside the balcony to stay.

Clean and comfortable, close to restaurant for a breakfast.

Very clean. Comfy. Cozy. Cool design features. Ciabatta is delicious.
Great to experience unique accommodation, very well set up and little river is such a lovely little place.
Tv remote and stereo weren't working properly but that is just a minor thing.
Beautiful country location. Lovely art gallery/craft shop and popular cafe nearby. Wonderful view from upstairs (bedroom) window.
If you want a quirky place to stay this is it.,we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the meal at the hotel was very good and the cafe and art gallery next door were excellent
Very funky accommodation. Thoughtful set up of rooms. We biked there and ate out at the restaurant next door. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you
The whole experience was exceptional from the owner greeting us To the beautiful and clean facilities. Would recommend to anyone!!
Liked the quirkiness of the silos, nice view
Tv didn’t work, needs a bit of TLC/maintenance.
Unique experience. Great view and easy check in.
The doors were a bit stiff to open and a few cobwebs
Quirky, unusual set-up in proper converted agricultural silo. Despite being an adaptation, the place is extremely comfortable, spacious, and well-thought-through. I would put this in the category of boutique hotel. I would most certainly like to stay there again if fate brings me back to NZ
We loved this quirky accomodation in a peaceful spot. Was able to lie in bed and see beautiful trees and a fabulous night sky.
Such a unique experience. Comfortable accommodation with everything you need for self-catering. Rob, the owner, is very helpful and a great bloke. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommended.
Awesome place. Everything you need in very interesting cool accomodation.dont go for your normal hotel room. Try something different and stay here. Made my brain go waahhooo!! Great place to stay. Your everyday accommodation place that is basically the same is boring, try different quirky ones. Thankyou totally enjoyed and will stay again. I bought some groceries and cooked my own food. ?
The creativity and design of the space were fantastic. It was refreshing and new. We had a wonderful time exploring the design elements at every turn. The space felt very empathetic and inviting. It's perfect for anyone seeking something different and unique. We absolutely loved our experience and would like to return for a few quiet nights next time!
The toilet located downstairs is intended for convenience, but it is not suitable for elderly individuals or those who need to use the bathroom frequently at night. While it worked well for us, it posed difficulties for my dad, who stayed in another silo.
Quiet and private
An out door Weber /bbq would be good on the grass area. And a picnic table
This was well thought out - immaculately clean - comfortable - felt luxurious. The star window over the bed was a lovely quirky touch
My only suggestion would be for a few more hooks around the walls for hanging clothing.
