No air conditioning or fan available. No toiletries- very out dated, and quite frankly for a tourist area, this motel needs serious updating.

The room felt comfortable and had a nice warmth about it. Very tidy and everything we needed was available. The bed was very comfortable Located right next to the Opuke thermal pools. Enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Quiet location, walkable to town. Nice dinner at "The green parrot" in town. Close to Opuke, the very overpriced thermal pools!!

Very friendly welcome to a motel in excellent location. This despite the fact that bthe date of our booking got confused and we arrived a day before we were expected!

The sofas could do with being replaced as they were not very comfortable.

Convenient Methven location, close to shops and on the Main Street.

The hosts are lovely. The rooms spacious and clean. It's a motel and so basic in some regards, but also very good for a accommodation in a small town. Everything you're likely to want is within a one or two minute drive e.g. groceries and restaurants.

I'd prefer a heat pump for heating as that makes setting a personally comfortable temperature easy. The heating provided works nicely, but we found it hard to set the perfect temperature for us.

Have stayed in the motel before and its quality has remained the high standard. The ?owners/manager were very friendly. The accomadation block was single story. There was no foot trafic past the door/french window. This gave a sense of privacy. There was a hob (did not use), toaster and microwave. THe small ice box in the fridge (not noisey) was clear of frost so there was room to store frozen foods. There was a double & a single bed. I chose the single bed as it was more comfortable. The place and property was clean and tidy. There was a laundry. I did not look at that. Could not hear trafic. The heating was great and it quick to heat up the unit.

I did not like the lighting (picky). I stayed 4 nights (unusual) and there was no room to store food in the kitchen. I kept things in shopping bags on the floor. The shower pressure was ok, not great. However, the owners cannot control the water pressure and the same is probably true of nearby motels.. So, there were only very minor things that I did not like.

Location excellent, quiet, great car parking and spacious bedroom. Nice and warm when we arrived.

Owner who greeted us was super friendly and gave plenty of great recommendations for things to do and restaurants to eat at. The room was also nice and spacious and had everything we needed. Location was great, easy walking distance to town and to Opuke Pools

Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Great value.

Property is a little old but this is not an issue being far outweighed by the cleanliness and comfort.

Host was very helpful - advised of good places to eat and told us about the enchanted forest walk.

Units are fairly dated, headboard on single bed was not fixed to the bed. Poor water pressure in the shower.

Lovely host, we enjoyed our stay. Perfect location, very close to walkways.

Ordinary fry pan would be great for cooking.

Spaciousness. We had a day when it rained and was very cold, so we stayed in and enjoyed it.Recommendations from the owners on what to do were spot on, and they were lovely people.

Low pressure hot water, but it worked!

We only had a one night stay and were greeted so warmly on arrival by our host Sherryl. We felt right at home and very comfy in our spacious unit. Super clean with everything we needed. A great location . We enjoyed a walk through the Enchanted Forest, as recommended by Sherryl, and a visit to the Opuke thermal pools. We would happily stay again to explore further as the area has much to offer.

We stayed in a clean and spacious unit in very pleasant grounds. Our host was welcoming and the unit was perfectly servicable for a one night stay.

The motel was older but the space in the unit was fantastic. Plenty of off road parking outside each unit - something new today. Great personal staff service.

The weather. Nothing else. We would gladly stay there again.
