Methven Motel & Apartments

Having stayed at a similar priced hotel close by, this hotel & hosts were far superior. Can not over emphasize importance of air conditioning (thank you!), toiletries, (had been hiking and had minimal "luxuries", availability of laundry & great location

Location excellent. Check in very helpful. Things to see were suggested.

Noise from poor insulation came through from the room above. Especially the toilet upstairs.... Waking us.

Warren & Lesley were very friendly from the time we checked in to the day of our departure we felt like we had known them for years. The room was spacious and clean with a well-appointed kitchenette, we will certainly return.

A lovely, clean spacious apartment, we felt really comfortable and at home. Nice and close for a visit to the hot pools down the road. Great shower and very comfortable beds and beautiful view from our apartment. Easy walk to find somewhere for dinner, we enjoyed the Blue Pub. Thank you for the warm welcome, we will be back to stay again for our next trip to Methven and for a longer stay next time.

Loved everything about our stay. The hosts were warm and inviting. Rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. Beds were very comfortable and the bedding is oh so snuggly. Great water pressure too. Fantastic location, right in the middle of the Opuke pools and town center, walking distance both ways. Very quiet which I loved. No sky tv however they have a huge range of DVDs to choose from in the office. Watched some absolute classics with my daughter which made our stay just that little bit more special. Thank you!

Very comfy and clean with everything you need, the hosts are so friendly and welcoming. It's very close to the hot pools and the blue pub which we really liked also

Great location, 5 mins from town and 2 mins drive from hot pools. Great facilities, great size room. Lovely shower.

Would like to suggest that in the bathrooms with shower over bath, a hand rail be installed to assist getting in and out. Especially necessary for people with leg ( hip or knee problems) .

Modern, spacious and comfortable. Nice walking track within easy distance. Host friendly with recommendations of where to go.

We stayed on a weekend trip to Methven. Location was fantastic, halfway between the hot pools and the shops. Lesley greeted us warmly when we arrived and we were able to grab some DVDs to watch in the room - excellent selection! The room was a great size, kitchenette had everything you need. The bedrooms were lovely and clean, and the beds were very comfy. Will absolutely be staying again.

Hosts were excellent and very friendly. Had very good local knowledge and good recommendations for dining. Due to rain, they gave us an umbrella to use.Rooms were a good size, well-appointed and clean & tidy.

Great location within a short walking distance from hot pools and town centre. The room was spacious, kitchen well equipped and the bathroom had a bathtub. Everything was really well maintained, clean and felt very well looked after. The owners were welcoming and friendly. I'd absolutely stay again.

I'd have liked a choice of flatter pillows and a windown that could be left open overnight.

Easy and welcoming check in. The apartment was very spacious with great kitchen facilities. The bath tub was a nice surprise too!

Super cute, newly renovated clean motel, loved the parking right outside the room. Comfortable, large space, and clean, like spotless clean. Club chairs, not a sofa but a TV that works, decent bed, hob, fridge, dishes. Location location location, 5 minutes to breakfast, lunch or dinner. Reception was super nice, even the guests in neighbouring rooms were super. Highly recommend Green Parrot and Molecule (both owned by the same people) amazing food and great atmosphere in both.

Loveseat instead of chairs, but honestly 1st world problems, haha
