BeachView Motel

We stay here for the proximity to family in Runanga, the cooking facilities, equipment and the view. It's easy to warm up and covered decks on the coast are a must and appreciated.

Still no facecloth (I suggested this last year). Road noise is an issue, but it does die down late at night.

The location was nice, ocean views and close to Greymouth.

It was a very relaxing spot. So close to many places of interest. Keith, the owner is a very kind, caring and helpful person.

Location right next to a beautiful beach. Stunning views and heard waves lapping as we fell asleep.Friendly host, very comfortable beds , very clean and well equiped. Place to store our bikes.Double glazed.

Near the highway but with the double glazing only the odd truck was heard.

The view

The information pack and website information were out of date. The lack of servicing each day for the prices charged.The inability to talk to the owner regarding bookings - handled by Booking.com. Why two identical units were not charged at identical prices? The plumbing in the bathroom was noisy and the tap over the basin was difficult to use. The hot water in the shower was erratic.

Great location and superb views. Very clean and well equipped. We would definitely go back!

This motel has a beautiful setting with lovely sea views. Loved the beach in front.

Nothing we didn't like.

Absolutely stunning location, walking distance to the beach. Room was clean, tidy, spacious and modern. Bed was very comfortable and shower great. Some reviews stated road noise, but we did not notice any. The Dyson Fan in the room was a game changer and perfect for keeping the room cool during the warm evening (better than a heat pump), when we wanted doors closed to avoid mozzies. Host was very helpful and obliging when I left something in the room and collected later. We were super impressed and happy with our choice to stay here. Highly recommend!

Amazing location, great little unit with everything you need

Absolutely no contact with the proprietor - not that we needed it. Felt a little weird considering it was Motel style.

Location

Ok...walked in with cold drinks to a fridge turned off. Had to pull the fridge out from the wall to get it working..Should not have to do that.All taps were reversed with the hot water in the cold position and cold water in the hot water position. Fine for adults but not sure about young children. Light in the entrance flickering on and off before it shut itself off, probably just a globe ...that ok.Loved the position

The location was stunning. The facilities were great. Linen and towels were clean. Shower was great. Mattress was very comfy.

Outside chairs played my back up and no table. Didn’t detract from overall experience

Peaceful location away from busy roads and lots of people. Great place to chill out and recharge batteries.

Booking.com instructions on where to locate key and room info was right at the bottom of 2nd email. It looked like a repeat of first email so I didn't scroll to the bottom of page.

Bathroom had no ventilation needs windows to open

A very nice 2bedroom motel unit with a lovely view and outdoor seating area. Also very handy to have a laundry with a dryer after a wet afternoon. Easy to find just off the main road and very quiet.

Clean and spacious. Owner even let us use his barbecue. Very short walk to beach with crashing surf.

No close grocery stores or restaurants except back in Greymouth. Because of location, wifi reception spotty, data (supplied by Spark) inconsistent, and tv reception (supplied by internet) either frequently buffers or is not available at all.

view was great from lounge, room was great, beach 2min walk, sunsets awesome.

Our room had some loss of privacy unit 2, No Net Curtain on lounge window by carpark for unit 3&4 ,both carparks can look in , the owners can also see in from there house or when working on the property. Also a sliding net curtain on sliding lounge door would be a nice choice. But could be pushed back once your up to enjoy the view.

Great location and super clean and comfortable. Everything we needed and the beach was gorgeous. Loved our stay!

Beautiful view, great kitchen and tall ceilings, very spacious. Staff got out a bar be que for us, too. Big room.

Noisy highway very close, got quieter in late evenings. Beds a bit soft for our liking. Bathroom getting a bit tired, especially shower which needs a deep clean in grooves around fittings.
