There was some confusion about our booking, although it was eventually settled.

The views from the Lake View rooms were nice, the beds were comfy and breakfast was really nice. We didn’t have time to use the pool/spa/tennis courts but it looked very nice when we went to have a look. There is a mall about a 5min walk away.

The smell! We’d booked 2x non-smoking rooms and both rooms we were assigned stank of smoke. The staff were super helpful in changing room for us but the next couple of rooms we were shown also stank of smoke. Not their fault that guests are smoking in non- smoking rooms but it means that most of the building smells like excessive room freshener layered over smoke which is extremely unpleasant for a non smoker. The rooms are also a bit dated and tired. This is an incredibly expensive hotel for China and after staying for two nights, I don’t think the cost is justified.

I like the staff only they trying to do their best to help and provide the good quality of support.

The room the worst very bad smell changed the room even upgraded but still the same smell. When it was raining I smelled the same odor around the hotel. Old furnace all the faculty are out dated. This really effects intercontinental hotels image that I know. I cannot advice it to any ones renovation is required. Oh, no one help you are the entrance, help your self.

It was really can and all the staff were professional and polite. Amazing view from the room. Location was perfect. It was perfect will definitely come back and recommend anyone to stay here

There were so many events in the hotel. I can’t even get a table for my breakfast while I way staying there. The staff in front of the hotel was so rude. The service can’t match international hotel standards. The room smelled very damp.

My recent stay at the Intercontinental was a significant letdown, falling far below the standard I expected from this brand.After a long day, we were eager to rest, but when we tried to turn off the lights, we discovered the switches weren’t working. On top of that, the air conditioner was malfunctioning, making the room very stuffy. At 1:45 AM, we had no choice but to request a room change. Although the hotel did apologize, they first suggested we wait for a technician to try to fix the issues—a suggestion that felt unreasonable at such a late hour.The room we were moved to was fine, but the overall impression of the hotel left much to be desired. The entire property feels outdated and in need of a renovation. It’s clear that the hotel has not been maintained to the high standards typically associated with the Intercontinental brand.Adding to our frustration, there was no option for direct food delivery to our room. We had to go down to the lobby to collect our order, only to find that there was no designated place for the delivery person to leave the food. He ended up handing it off to a security guard at the entrance, adding unnecessary inconvenience.While the staff did apologize, what made the situation worse was that the hotel didn’t offer anything beyond that to make up for the inconvenience. No compensation, no complimentary service—nothing.Overall, this was a very, very, very disappointing stay. I expected much more from a hotel bearing the Intercontinental name. This experience was far from the luxury and top-notch service the brand is known for. I sincerely hope management takes immediate action to address these serious issues.

Breakfast was excellent, with numerous options, and the hotel's location is ideal, near the riverside. Staff were really helpful, particularly Ms. Veronica, who provided excellent support and information.

The staff, most especially Tony the concierge, another young concierge who I do not get the name of, and Kristin the bar lady, are exceptionally helpful and friendly. We could not have got around without Tony’s help. The property is very well situated, with a shopping mall full of restaurants within easy walking distance. The rooms are spacious and well fitted out. The bar and eating areas are great.

The location was good, and the liquid amenities such as shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and lotion was good. I like it

The mattress was very uncomfortable and the pillows were extremely uncomfortable.

The staff and the breakfast were fantastic. It catered to all people and so many choices. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The location is a bit far away from the city center. The hotel is a bit old I guess.

Even simple English breakfdast tea was not available in the breakfast? The Chinese Tea only serve with Black Tea but no others, at least should also serve any kind of green tea, right? Besides I'm a Chinese but the front still mesh up which is my Last name (IP instead). Looks they are not familar with your own system input.

The breakfast is one of the best that I have seen. "Outstanding" and highly recommended to all business travelers. There are a lot of tables in the dinning hall and the service in the dinner room, both for breakfast and dinner , are excellent.Rooms with view of the lake and the park, and worth the extra $ as compared with nearby 5 stars hotel. I have tried many of them.

The check in process has to be refined. Exceptional slow as compared any other hotels in the area. There was no line up but almost take me 15 minutes to get a room assigned. Need major improvement.

We came here many times before. The location suits with my suppliers location.

My room-neighbours were smoking even though it was a non-smoking floor. The opened the door to the hallway to let the smoke out. There was no smell in my room, so no problem. And the staff went up to speak to them, so solved good.

The only two things I liked about this hotel was: 1. The buffet at Cafe Aqua. The food was really good and of good quality. 2. The staff at the spa.

Front desk/check in:The customer service and rules of this hotel is ridiculous and poor. This hotel does not accept a picture of a passport during check in was never communicated prior to my arrival and check in was refused. I had to travel back home to get my passport. Once asked why a picture is not acceptable a robotic excuse was provided from the ‘manager’. It makes completely no sense that other hotels accept a picture as proof but this one doesn’t. The manager also needs a class or two regarding customer service - walking away and taking a personal call when I requested that they phone the police to tell me officially a picture of my own passport won’t be accepted. I am still waiting for them to bring me the phone so I can speak to someone of legal authority. The lack of good customer service and lack of proper prior communication from the hotel is the worst I have ever received. No apologies was provided from these so called managers. I have stayed with this hotel before and they do have all my information on record - why that couldn’t be reused is beyond me. I highly recommend some of the staff get training in being able to speak English. Communication was such headache and it is highly irritating that staff starts laughing when they don’t understand with their friends and call someone else to assist - so unprofessional. The bell boy doesn’t even offer to carry our bags. The room that was provided to us smelled so bad we had to change rooms. Beds were uncomfortable. The air system kept beeping. Had to move to a new room. No apologies from staff. Beds aren't great and duvets are too thin. When going for a cocktail no one brought a menu. I had to get up myself and go fetch one. I had to walk to the front and place my order - no one came. The cocktail glass wasn’t very full - feel for the amount of money I paid and what I received was not equal. A piece of plastic from the stick that my olives were on came off in my mouth.

The bed was super comfortable and the block out curtains are perfect! Breakfast was okay, and the coffee was delicious. The drinks was also good and the staff was really friendly and helpful.

Was a pity that the majority of the items on the menu for room service was not available to order and ordering as well was such a headache since the staff speaks very little English. It was a pity that the pool and spa was closed due to the pandemic - which was not the hotel's fault but it was also the main reason we went there.

The location is great, walking distance to Starbucks and supermarket, quite convenient.

The breakfast is no good, very messy, no immediate refill which make a lot of empty plate or pot. Food not as hot, and the lady who help to make omelet is super slow and always missing customers' order
