Crowne Plaza Foshan Nanhai - an IHG Hotel -Free Canton Fair Shuttle Bus

I love the location and staff. The best part is the hotel provides free shuttle service to the fair ,train station and mall. Highly recommended Crowne Plaza hotel.

Good rooms (spacious) and breakfast was good as well (good variety of food)

The Hotel restaurants (one was expensive) and other (i think on second floor) was quite bad (maybe just not my taste). Took always taxi to eat elsewhere

I liked it for its comfortable rooms, clean and modern environment, great facilities, and convenient location, which together made the stay relaxing and good value for money.

The front desk Manager Bruce was very cooperative and supportive during our stay. He helped us for an early check-in and explained the best approach for our visit. He guided us for the best transport to our next trip. His approach and behavior was very professional. Everything is ok

We had a great stay with great kindness from the staff. The night shift manager, Mr. Jason Chen provided us with exceptional service late at night when we had trouble and also aided us in extending our stay with no issues

I pay the coat of rent two times , one during booking one during the hotel , and tell now they didn’t solve the problem

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel itself is really well appointed and has plenty of amenities for guests to enjoy. The free shuttle to the Canton Fair was on time and offered good service.

There's really nothing much to do around the hotel, that doesn't involve taking a taxi into Guangzhou or Foshan proper. I found myself staying in the city well into the night, in order to do things and go out for a meal, instead of going back to the hotel area. I'd have liked that they used a bed sheet + comforter in the room, instead of just the comforter, which was too warm during some nights. This is what I encountered in every hotel in Hong Kong and China, though, so it's not a comment about just this property.

Location is little far from city

It is just ok, considering that it is Crown Plaza, which is supposed to be top of the line line, but not really.

There's no microwave in the rooms: the location is completely isolated from commercial and activities. Only tea is provided without cream and sugar. The breakfast and dinner is very expensive.

This wasn't our first stay in the hotel. The location is great - a stone-throw away from the Guangzhou South Railway Station, and 20mins ride from the ancient city of Foshan. Our trip coincided with a heatwave with temperature reaching 39C, so the indoor pool was a very welcomed facility. Special shout-out to Xana and her colleagues for the impeccable service. Upon check-out they gave us a box filled with local fruits, which served us well for our train ride back to Hong Kong.

The overall service was quite good. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The staff were polite, friendly, and always willing to help, which made my stay more pleasant.

One major issue I faced was the lack of a proper water facility in the washroom, which can be inconvenient for Muslim guests who require it for religious cleanliness. This affected my comfort during the stay.

My stay at Crowne Plaza Foshan Nanhai was truly impressive. The location was perfect—well-connected yet peaceful, with scenic surroundings that offered both convenience and privacy. The hotel ambience felt upscale and welcoming, ideal for both business and leisure stays.The rooms were clean, comfortable and provided a good level of privacy, which I appreciated after long days at the Canton Fair. The restaurant served a variety of well-prepared dishes.A special mention goes to Mr. Dana Wu from the reception, his attentiveness, warmth and professionalism made a real difference in making the stay memorable. He was genuinely helpful and went above and beyond in ensuring guests felt at home.

One small suggestion would be to provide a discreet chair for the staff stationed at the front gate. It was a bit disheartening to see them standing for long hours, especially given how well the rest of the hotel cares for its guests. A little consideration for their comfort would reflect even better on the hotel’s hospitality standards.

Nice room, good service, restaurants just around the corner

Breakfast was below standard for that category in China. Choice of fresh fruits was truly poor, selection of vegetables certainly less then could be expected. Just two slow coffees machines cause quite some waiting times - even the room was not crowded.

Close to a series of nice food outlets and a pharmacy. Supermarket about 1 km away and a nice walk.

Room cleaning was not consistent. Sometimes cutlery not washed, soap dispenser runs out, water bottles not replenished. They should introduce a standard checklist to assist the staff that make up the rooms.

Ambience , hygiene and services

It’s far from the airport , better to have options for airport to hotel by Taxi or Hotel transport …. Not suggesting to take any private individuals trying to claim taxi , normal fare will be around 300-500 RMB ( Chinese )

I like to quietness of this hotel and the location in a very quiet area. Clean hotel with a very good and comfy room with a nice view. The A/C was not working one night, and they came to fix it in a few minutes.

The soundproofing of the walls between rooms is very bad, you can hear everything happening around you, felt very bad for the neighbors, they were fighting at 6 am. do not spend money on the spa center; very expensive service.
