Pros +
- Location, cleanliness, service.
- Certainly worthy of the name. Great stay.
- The location of the hotel and the hotel itself is great. The guys at the ski valet are fantastic!
Cons -
- * No food/catering service available * Price was steep when keeping in mind that no food service was available. Would have been nice to see the kitchen stocked instead.
- The service at the hotel is somewhat lacking. While pleasant, we noticed that they are completely overwhelmed by how crowded they get during these winter weeks, which is normal but should be managed better. The staff don’t seem to know a lot about anything (restaurants/shops) outside the hotel so you cannot rely on asking them. Rooms were moderately tidied when housekeeping did come and the restaurant is sloooow. Even when no one is in the place. It’s a shame as we liked the property and the skiing but for the amount that is being charged, I would have expected more top notch service.
- Got sick from my dinner and the power went out for hours due to the winds. Can’t control the weather!

Customer service is fantastic. Staff is incredibly helpful. LOVE skiing Taos. Such a fun mountain.

Location, services, view from the room, staff.
The location is PERFECT. Easy to get to, valet parking in a covered garage on site (nice for when we needed to access something from the car), and right in the middle of everything. We had a lovely view from our balcony and could hear the creek, which runs next to The Blake. The ski valet service was amazing - boots dried and heated overnight, making for a perfect start for a day of skiing. The Blake is also VERY dog friendly and provided crates large enough for a Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix along with beds and bowls. Lastly, every staff person we encountered was exceedingly helpful and friendly, making for a great overall experience!
We could have used a mini fridge and microwave in the room for leftovers. We felt wasteful leaving half a meal on the table in the restaurant because we had no way to safely store or reheat.
Haus boys seem nice but tried charging me for resort fees
Restaurants had terrible service
the hotel is very clean, quiet with beautiful views
Awesome customer service. Staff were so nice and friendly. Our 2nd time staying at The Blake and this is the place we will stay every time we will come to Taos!!!!
Food was awesome. Wish there were a few more options, but everything was delicious.Ski valet was so nice!!Spa was really, really good!Amazing experience overall!
All in all, we had a perfect 4 night stay at the Blake
the beds in our room were a little too soft. I had trouble adjusting to a soft mattress, but by the 3rd night I was sleeping much better
Beautiful setting , continently located to the ski slopes and amazing views
Car valet, ski valet, concierge service all exceptional. Every one is kind, friendly, thoughtful.
The cacio e Pepe at the restaurant.
I like the ski valley. The skiing is great.
I wish there was more to do in the ski valley. My wife does not like to ski and it would be nice for her to have other activities to do in the ski valley while I'm skiing, for instance cooking enrichment lessons.
Friendly staff and very comfortable
The 192 needed more menu items other than vegan items
The proximity to the slopes is the absolute best. Having the ski rental, ski shop and restaurant all on the same floor was extremely convenient. All the amenities are there and there isn’t much left to be desired. Private car to go in to town is a very nice touch. Everyone was extremely pleasant - several employees stood out - the manager Andy from the restaurant and Brandon the bellman/driver both went above and beyond during our stay and are excellent representatives of the hotel.
King suites without balconies. One of the most expensive rooms in the hotel and you don’t have something that is fairly standard in regular rooms at the competing hotels in the ski valley. The hot tubs were nice but the pool wasn’t warm enough to swim in. While the food was good, the open kitchen in the 192 restaurant leaves you smelling like whatever meal period just happened.
Great location - the ambiance, decor, amenities were excellent. The staff was ultra responsive and friendly offering helpful tips. We loved the experience
The hot tub was not working the night we tried to use it. The restaurant / room service could have had more healthy options on the menu.
The Blake is nestled in the mountain. The views and river are spectacular. The bathroom in the rooms is spacious and stocked full of toiletries. It’s elegant without being pretentious. Valet was exceptional and I enjoyed the pro-dogs atmosphere.
The variety of food. There’s not enough options that are not so rich and heavy. There are also not enough places to get simple things like a muffin or burrito without such a fuss or wait.
This property was not only gorgeous, it was clean, the staff was amazing and it was right in the center of the ski valley.
Nothing! We loved it all.
Pool, hot tub, gym, walking distance to cafe's and shops.
Would not recommend the restaurant, "192" that's on site.
