Castle Po'ipū Shores

The location is unbeatable!!

Within an hr of walking on the floors our feet was black and I personally had to dust because of the clumps of dust on things.

We booked this location and did not get to stay here. The buildings were under renovation. Castle offered us a refund or to move to their sister location Castle Kiahuna Plantation & Beach Bungalows. We had originally booked a deluxe ocean front 2 bed 2 bath at Castle Poipu Shores, they tried to put us in an ocean view condo. This property is enormous and ocean view was not what we booked. After a little negotiation, we were put in an ocean front bungalow and it was very nice. There were some maintenance issues that needed to be tended to, but nothing that deterred our having a wonderful stay. Watching the surfers everyday and the beautiful sunsets, it was a wonderful vacation. We even saw whales from our unit!

It looked like it was a little more private in the photos, but because there were other units connected to ours, people walked directly in front of our door.

Excellent location, beautiful views

Not everything worked, and the price was quite high

The cleaners had all surfaces cleaned. The view was terrific. The location is ideal. Lots and lots of turtles in the water and porpoises.

The waves shook the cliff non stop. They crashed so hard that it sounded like thunder all night long every night. The carpet and couch material are very old and dirty, smelled musty, and buckling. THERE WERE NO SPICES, not even salt and pepper. There were no Beach Chairs. Parking is very skinny...don't use a large vehicle.

Parking can be challenging.

The location was excellent. The view was absolutely wonderful and I loved the large windows to really take it in. It’s so close to the water, you can hear the waves and we saw many whales from our balcony. The place was very clean when we arrived. We would love to stay here again.

Location was beautiful, oceanfront. Would not have traded that for any luxurious location without a view.We didn't need much from the office but she was very helpful and available.

Airfryers are nice for heating leftovers when eating out. Being on vacation we ate out a lot.We didn't end up watching any tv or movies anyway, but the living room furniture wasn't very cozy for watching a movie and tv was very small.The shower rooms were very small.

Very small kitchen and no dishwasher. It's a compact unit.

The location is fantastic. Very comfortable updated condo. Staff were above & beyond with our dealings with office!

Only issue we had was that although our unit was renovated with new fans, there seemed to be one loud fan coming from another unit when occupied.

Amazing cliff side location, absolutely stunning views of the turtles and whales

YOU COULD LOOK DOWN ON THE OCEAN AND SEE THE BETIFUL WAVES.. A SHORT WALK RO THE BEACH AND SEE THE TURTLES.

NO HOT WARER FOR 3 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS. THE TOASTER WAS BROKEN. AND HAD TO EMPTY THE DISHWASHER MYSELF.

Beautiful view

Not what we booked. No AC EXtremely humid. Couldn’t sleep well. They brought fans. Just circulated hot air. Made trip bad especially for the $$$$. Wouldn’t stay again unless winter months. After they said the AC unit wasn’t working they wouldn’t allow me to cancel. I told them b4 booking if they couldn’t guarantee me AC I wouldn’t book. My husband has had bypass surgery and a stroke which was told b4 booking. They should have given me the courtesy to cancel without charge. Beds comfortable. Unit adequate for4 people. So disappointing we didn’t enjoy our stay

The lack of air conditioning!

Spacious and wonderfully located. Just a short walk from a wonderful beach with a natural pool which is great for small children... complete with turtles and seals! We also enjoyed watching the turtles swimming whilst breakfasting on the balcony.Kitchen was very well stocked. Communication by SMS before and during the stay was great. There's a sign to remove shoes which we would always do anyway, but the floor was really filthy when we arrived in the evening. The cleaner came first thing in the morning to clean it. Everything else was very clean and all efforts were made to rectify the problem quickly.

The location was spectacular but the unit was different from what we expected. Be sure to check with the wonderful person who greeted us and see the actual unit you are renting. The owners made the appropriate adjustments and promised a refund.

The Photos of this unit for rent under Booking.com included many pictures of other units of much better quality.

Great location with good parking. Staff was friendly and helpful.
