    Pros +

    • NOT a LOT.
    • The hotel was the cheapest in this region so we picked it. It was okay for one night, bed was comfy.
    • Clean and convenient

    Cons -

    • NOT a LOT. on arriving at Haut Marais for our 2 night stay at approx 18:30hrs I was let down to find the outside of building and grounds poorly maintained and cigarette butts everywhere. At reception door no way of contacting staff so walked back around building to open unsecured fire door which was the night entrance. The corridor was dark (all the time we were there) met by manager at reception who was helpful but thought 07:00 was too early for breakfast so settled for 07:30hrs. We were on a timeline for the Towns WW2 80th commemorations. I found that our rooms like the rest of building very tired and very dated. The tv did not work and the shower riser rail was broke. in general the room was not clean with damp patch by bed, there were bedside tables in wardrobe that hooked on walls by bed, did not use them as they were unclean with accumulated dust on them, The following morning I complained to the Manager who did change our room. A bit better but the side of bath was rusty and no non slip map so showering was dangerous as the bath had no handrails. The breakfast could of been better, it was limited. It could be a nice place with a lot of investment in it. Not a patch on the budget hotels in Dieppe and Bayeux that we stayed in. I felt sorry for the manager but I would avoid this hotel.
    • It really is old. I dont think there was ever any renovation. TV is insanely small and was not working for us. Bath is clean for its age. The whole location is a bit spooky since it is so empty and a bit out of the city.
    • Wants improving rooms scruffy

Location, close to Giverny, Monet’s house and gardens.

Mold in the shower and on the floor and ceiling, around the window frame. Dusty and dirty curtains. For 8€ breakfast they serve you 1 croissant and 10 cm of a baguette. Disastrous and watered down coffee. Staff extremely slow. The interior as well as exterior looks neglected, barely cleaned. Not like it was a ridiculously cheap stay - completely overpriced for a disay like that. The worst experience ever.

room and bathroom are really spacious. In the back of the hotel, there is a nice little garden, where also bicycles can be securely parked. Staff is doing their best to be accommodating; however, language was a bit of a challenge. River Seine and its nice corniche can be reached by foot (10 min), as well as the city center (25 min).

The hotel is situated in the industrial zone and there is a lot of traffic noise both from the near road and the railways. The hotel would greatly benefit from a bit of refurbishment - the charge comes close to the formula-1 type of trucker accommodations, but to a significantly higher price. There are no restaurants in the vicinity - you have to walk back to the town (25...30 min) or take the car. The separate night door at the backside is not locked; so everyone can enter the hotel.

The concierge was helpful and attentive. The proximity to our destination excellent. The grounds were well kept .

    Croissants were nice.

Rooms were mouldy, unclean, and well in need of refurbishment. One room hadn't been cleaned, one stunk of smoke, one had a broken bed but all were in a bad state.

It was a bad experience. Our bill was messed up but has now been rectified. Bedrooms smelt of smoking.

The person at the reception (unfortunately, we didn’t ask his name) was most helpful and tried to do his best, but it was his fourth day in this hotel, so he couldn’t recommend any restaurant to eat or give any information on the area

First of all, it was very difficult to find the hotel. The navigator took us to an abandoned house a few miles away. We called the hotel, but because we didn’t know the area and the guy at the reception was totally new to the area as well, it was very difficult to understand where we had to go. We were asked to go to Lidl which we had seen on the way, and he was kind enough to meet us there. The hotel really needs to have more clear instructions or maybe even provide coordinates. Second, we booked a family room with three beds for the two of us to have more space and flexibility as we needed two separate beds. When we got to the room, we found out it was a small double room. We went back to the reception just to find out that our room was given to somebody else by mistake! We ended up in a small twin room. To be fair, I need to mention that the guy at the reception did offer us to have two rooms, but because our luggage was all mixed up we decided to stay in a twin room. We were offed a £2.00 compensation which was absolutely ridiculous!Third, the hotel needs some work - at least in the room we stayed. The ceiling in the shower was covered with mold, the shower doors were all dirty as if never cleaned! The beds were not done neatly and the pillows that were on the bed spreads didn’t look fresh, but the guy at the reception did change them. We were too tired and hungry to raise other issues, so we just left to find a place to eat (which wasn’t easy either as there were no restaurants within a walking distance). The beds weren’t comfortable either. We didn’t dare to have breakfast in the hotel the next morning and were happy to leave early.

    Clean, comfortable

I got a problem with the payment and instead of paying for 1 night, I end up paying 3 nights. Until this date which is almost 2 months, I haven’t received my refund. Still waiting for the transaction, hopefully getting it soon :).

Ok for a Night, but no place where you want to stay in the room. Would not come back here.

Rooms smelly, toilet decades old - ok for a Night but not a fun stay for a vacation.

    3Soniah12Posted on: 10-10-2023

    Sorry! Nothing.

The hotel exterior was untidy and not as expected from the photograph. The situation wasn't great.. Internally, the room very basic with an uncomfortable bed and unclean bathroom. .

We came late, because we were driving from far away and the person at the desk waited for us to do a check-in. We are so grateful! It would be nice to add a possibility for the late check-in lie a box with a key and code for the entrance via email or something like that.

Breakfast has to be ordered in advance, so if you want to have it you need to do it before 8 pm, finding a place for breakfast in the city before 11am is 'mission impossible" (I mean you will have to enjoy coffee and a croissant)

Friendly and efficient welcome. Accommodation as per above. The very appreciable extra +++ was the green space at the rear of the hotel with tables and benches. It offered a relaxing time for picnic after a tiring car trip

The area around did not look very appealing but the location is ideal for a short stp. There is even a supermarket 2 mn away which helped for last minute shopping before resuming our journey

    9constancePosted on: 6-26-2023

The bed was confortable. They respects our for cleaning.Staff was very kind and helpfull !Near Lidl.Free parking.

    9IanPosted on: 5-26-2023

Room was large, comfortable bed and bathroom very clean.

Pillow? One long pillow and then two square pillows. They didn't affect me, but I prefer a normal pillow.
