    Pros +

    • Location
    • Perfect walking distance to sights, vendors, and ATMs with street art nearby. Breakfast was exceptional: a fresh omelet station, new variety of fruits, juice and a much-appreciated vegetable option every day. Enjoyed the comfy robes and bathroom amenities including a full-sized hairdryer (still a luxury these days!). The sauna, steam room and pool are nice (bring a bathing cap). They kindly gave us complimentary wine for a bday celebration.
    • Only location.

    Cons -

    • Overall clean with linens and towels but coffee pot and bathtub grimey. Hotel will not even provide a fan for sun facing rooms. Elevator wasn't working when we checked in and we walked up 7 flights of stairs. Restaurant food is just okay for the price.
    • Re the reviews that mention unfriendly staff -- perhaps not expecting the team to speak English in their own country would be prudent. Hotel shuttle is reliable but not competitive pricing with Uber. Gym equipment could benefit from a cleaning.
    • Everything else. Rundown rooms, breakfast is not good, restaurant didn’t have have of the menu.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the old part of Bogota, just 2 blocks from the Bolivar plaza, and the presidential home, a short walk to museums and great restaurants. And everyone is so nice and helpful. We had a suite overlooking the street - it was well worth the extra $$$.

Charming older property next to the opera house. Decorated really well. Updated but retained the character.

Water was lukewarm. Frustrating because the management said they were working on it but reading comments I realized that’s just a line. Thermostat was comical. You could change it but nothing happened. No vents anywhere so it must be fake!! Breakfast was average.

The location and the staff were great. The building is also beautiful. The staff was really helpful.

For a 5 star hotel, the facilities don't really live up to standard.

Perfect location for exploring Bogota's old town. Everything is within walking distance. Even the cable car to Monserrate is less than a twenty minute walk away.

    I didn't like leaving.

Super location and walkable to key tourist areas. The history and building were lovely and we would definitely stay again.

    5IrenePosted on: 9-18-2025

The location and staff were great.

The suite was a waste of money. Even though we had a view, it was extremely loud and at the very back of the hotel. If you're planning to stay there, get a room in the older part.

Location is perfect. Breakfast is okay

Rooms are in bad shape and not as on the pictures at all.Laundry service is really bad.

    The location is good

As we booked this to stay during an expo, where we need a hotel with pool to be able to relax after whole day standing, it was weird that the pool is closed from 19:00. We arrived daily after 19:00.Bar closed, dry cleaners service the worst ever. Comes 2 days too late back. Should be a 5 star hotel. As we travel a lot, this isn't even a 3 star! Rooms are poorly cleaned. Rooms are not same, as we booked 5 rooms we had huge difference in room size. No pressure on the showers and temperature was just about warm, not hot. And in a cold city like Bogota you wish to have a hot shower.Never again at this hotel

    Location

No air conditioning and basic facilities in the room which is expected for an old hotel

    1javierPosted on: 6-26-2025

we don't know, since we couldn't contact the staff the day of our arrival and could find parking at night time, even thought they said they have around but you need to make arrangements before hand

while the location might be good during the day, during the night is too dangerous to be wandering around on foot, we couldn't find a spot to park and check in and the property didn't respond our phone calls during the day or night, and the message thru booking was answered after we booked another hotel at 10 pm since we couldn't find parking to leave the car and talk to them in person when we arrived at 9pm so we had to book another room in another area. and you're likely to get a ticket for parking on the street or get your bags stolen if you leave it around at night time. (a local was with me at the time for a more knowledgeable opinion)

The room views were excellent from the seventh floor. Very classic colonial views. The location was perfect with all the museums within walking distance.

The furnishings were worn and the bathroom tiles broken and not very clean. The hallways were equipped with motion detection lights which were slow to react, leaving patrons in pitch black hallways! It was a bit unnerving.

Breakfast was good, however we were relocated from our booking the night before we left into a smaller hotel as they were redoing the plumbing and had no water. They picked us up and our luggage the next morning and transported us to the hotel but we were not allowed to check into our room until after 3. We were supposed to be there for two nights and ended up being there for one. Staff was friendly and tried to help. Should have been giving us better notice than that

Being able to stay in the room the two nights that we had originally planned. Not being able to try their restaurant with the view of the city as they had closed it

Very spacious and comfortable room. Excellent location in the centre of the tourist hub with easy access to a lot of interesting spots.

    8JudithPosted on: 5-14-2025

Excellent location and very safe to walk around. Old building with large room. Excellent breakfast.

The reception staff did not speak English and we’re not very friendly, with the exception of Alexander, who helped me a lot.

    9Martha C.Posted on: 5-9-2025

Location and the staff. Katherine, Alexander and Edwin were very helpful. Our 7th floor room had a great view and the breakfast buffet was good.

We were told the night before arrival our two night stay that we were being moved to another hotel farther from the historic center due to no water. They had been doing plumbing upgrades. The room at the other hotel was ok and they took good care of us but it really broke up our trip by moving in the middle. We were also disappointed by the La Terazza Restaurant not being open. lAlso the pool was too warm for any exercise swimming and the hot tub was not warm enough. I know this sounds weird but I though it should be mentioned.

Excellent location! Walking distance to many restaurants and attractions- nice spa

Breakfast average, limited choices but very good coffee
