Pros +
- I liked the staff. The room was nice and also the terrace had a very nice view. Also, it's only a 2 minute wall from Museo Del Oro.
- The breakfast was great and they have an Italian restaurant on the first floor which servers pretty good Italian standards. Room is pretty tight for only one person so if you are traveling as a couple, get the biggest room you can. All the staff was fantastic and they helped as much as they could whenever I needed anything.
- It was in a good location and the staff was wonderful
Cons -
- The bathrooms are dirty and the sings are backed up. The location is dangerous at night- desolate. By day the location is fine, next to museums.
- There should have been free breakfast in the room we stayed at. The elevator is super risky to take and is very small.
- Wifi wasn't good and there was an antenna right outside my room. The building was built in 1921 so the walls are probably hard for the signal to penetrate.

Room was a little dirty - the walls
Location was great. Walked everywhere from hotel. Clean, comfortable, great staff.
The room is quite simple, with limited space. The sink being outside the bathroom is not particularly appealing, and it is extremely small. Movement within the room is very restricted. For a hotel of this category, not having a coffee machine is a drawback. On the positive side, the bed is good.
The room was spacious and clean, the bed was big and somewhat comfortable. The shower/hot water was amazing, a very nice treat as Bogota can get quite chilly at night. The breakfast selection was decent, consisting of cereals, eggs, some traditional foods and fruits.
Although the shower was great, it often leaked onto the rest of the bathroom floor as the glass doors aren't built with great quality (gaps in places). Our room wasn't facing the road so traffic noise wasn't an issue, however, noise from the hotel itself was pretty annoying. Thin walls meant you could hear people in other rooms, our room was right above the breakfast area where its skylight was outside our courtyard so noise from people would start from 6am onwards. There were a couple of times when other people would come back to the hotel late at night (after midnight), causing chaos and being extremely loud and the staff did nothing about it. It got very hot and stuffy in the room but there was no fan or air-conditioning so it got quite uncomfortable in our sleep.
Location was good. The decor was nice.
The rooms are incredibly small which made it challenging to move around with two people. The beds were too short and not the most comfortable.
It is hyper central in Candelária, near gold museum and only a few mins away from Botero museum
Definitely not a 4 star hotel: mattresses had enormous depressions -we’re not comfortable -, elevator does not reach bottom floor, and the first few floors of the hotel have to deal with a lot of noise from 6 o’clock in the morning from employees, breakfast room, etc. very noisy…
Good location and clean room. Staff were friendly.
Zero soundproofing. We were disturbed every morning by staff and presumably early rising customers.Although the room features a kitchenette, there wasn't even a glass in the room on arrival.
Good location, helpful staff
Wifi connection was very problematic, breakfast options could be improved
Very well located, walking distance to main areas. Plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area. The hotel itself is very art Deco and has a lot of charm. We stayed in the studio room and really enjoyed how spacious it was.Staff at reception were friendly. We also asked for a quiet room which they accommodated for.
Fantastic position right between Candelaria and downtown. Very comfortable bed, great shower, good breakfast and fantastic staff. The hotel is perfect to explore the city from.
The restaurant was cute. The showere was very powerful! Drinking water available.
Do double room was small.
The current photo’s on booking.com are dated and not representative of all the rooms in the hotel. The decor in my room was beautiful and felt more like a a boutique hotel. Lovely rooftop terrace. Good lively location.
The lift is very small. The neighbourhood is lively, so may be a bit too noisy for some, especially if you want to keep the window open at night. Also if your room is position to the inner part of the hotel this can be noisy as all the bathrooms windows seem to be open and are positioned around an internal courtyard, so you can hear people showering and flushing the toilet.
Overall stay was good but ruined by the airport transfer fiasco. See my comments in the what didn't you like section .
I paid the hotel desk staff for my airport transfer on September 3 for a transfer at 4am on sept 4. The desk staff convinced me to use the hotel car/driver because it was safer . When I got to the lobby at 4am the driver was not there. The desk staff called the driver and he said he was not aware of the arrangement . I ended up taking a taxi to the airport I would like the hotel to refund what I paid for the transfer. I don't remember how much it was but they should know . They even charged more than the usual rate they said because it was at 4am
Excellent Staff, great location and great value for the price. The room could be cleaner
The restaurant service was opened late at night, I was able to order Italian food, and it was absolutely delicious!!!
It felt historical and nostalgic to be in this hotel. The staff were very friendly. The decor was fantastic - love the soft wallpaper and old elevator.
The location was great, I could walk anywhere, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and updated.
I would have rated the hotel higher, but during my last two days at the hotel I did not have any hot water.
