Hotel Casa de la Vega

This hotel was so nice and beautiful for the price! As far as I could see most front-facing rooms (but not all!) now have extra double glazing put in which works a treat!! Otherwise it would be noisy in these rooms. Location and price were great!

The mattress could have been better and people are correct that it is a little cold

The staff was very friendly, the bed was comfortable. We were on the main floor so a bit noisy during the evening.

Breakfast was very good, but limited. The male staff worker was extremely nice and helpful. The kitchen staff were very nice and helpful. The room was VERY large. Location was perfect and the area felt safe.

The female staff, while friendly, did absolutely nothing to be helpful. She did the bare minimum to be courteous, and nothing more. She appeared to be bored to be working there. The hotel is VERY run down. The rooms and the hotel itself look nothing like the pictures. Giant holes/cracks are in the door to the rooms, and in the casings around the windows. The wood flooring is warped and creaks. The entire place, while relatively clean, looks like an abandoned building.

Amazing location, wonderful room, very spacious. And not expensive at all for this.

Wonderful stay at Casa de La Vega. Amazing value, great location for everything we wanted to see and do, friendly and helpful staff and great breakfast. The hotel itself just reeks history and it’s character is pleasurable. We would highly recommend you choose this place while visiting Bogota.

Nothing - it was perfect - our room was so well appointed.

Staffs are very nice and easy to communicate even we only speak English.

Breakfast is basic

The employees are super friendly, they are always willing to help and they work very efficiently. In the morning they'll prepare a simple, but delicious breakfast to start off the day with a filled belly.The location of the hotel is perfect, it is close to a lot of restaurants, bars and stores. You can easily take a walk through La Candelaria and walk towards the city centre to enjoy Bogota.We would definitely come back to stay at Hotel Casa de La Vega!

This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! I stayed in the suite which was spacious and a mix of modern and classic decor. There was a small safe inside the closet, plenty of hangers and space for me to put my things up.The bed was the most comfortable bed out of any hotel I've stayed at in Colombia. The comforter was plush and there were extra plush blankets in the closet which came in handy in the chilly night.The bathroom is modern. The shower was heavenly with hot water, good water pressure and amazing organic clean shampoo, conditioner and soap. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I was able to leave my bags there and explore the city after checking out and also before checking in.There's an electric kettle downstairs with hot water and tea always available.The breakfast was delicious and good variety of fruit, toast (butter and jam), eggs prepared to your liking, fresh orange juice, coffee and tea! Yes, the hotel is located on a somewhat busy road, bring your earplugs and you will have no issues.The hotel is centrally located to everything you might want to experience in this area.I felt safe here as everyone that comes into the hotel has to get buzzed in. Being a solo female traveler this means a lot!I will come back here again when I visit Bogota!

Super charming historic building. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast (eggs made to order, fresh fruit, oj, toast, fruit jelly, butter, coffee). Great location in historic center of the city. Not for those seeking great luxury or absolute quiet, but this hotel was exactly what we were looking for at a great price.

Beautiful internal courtyard and lovely rooms. Staff were so helpful, and the breakfast was great. Would highly recommend! Great location too.

Slightly small - but was not really at all, and for the price, excellent!

Had a great stay! The property was a beautiful, preserved colonial home. The highlight of our stay was the great service provided by the ladies at the kitchen during breakfast and the front desk, they went above and beyond, they even packed us a to-go breakfast when we had to leave at 4 to the airport.

Breakfast was served personally; our very quiet room and the hotel were a historic family mansion - very pretty, though somewhat worn; location was steps from the museums, with multiple options for dining. Staff were cheerfully helpful.

As a historic property, our room had a noisily creaky floor.

Excellent location, a nice historical building, good breakfast and very helpful staff especially Alfredo who is very helpful person with a big smile always. This is homelike hotel and we are very happy about staying.

Great location close to Plaza Bolivar - you can walk everywhere. Area is safe during the day, at night is better to stay in the hotel (like everywhere in Bogota). Great breakfast with fresh juice. out people visit this place just for 1 or 2 nights (like we did) and travel somewhere else from Bogota. I would come there again when visiting Bogota.
