The driver, who was recommended by the owner to take us to the airport, was the only rude and dishonest Colombian we met in three weeks. :-(

The room and the hot shower

The breakfast was just cereal, papaya and a banana. There was bread but no toaster. Very simple.

The price was ok. Location was 6 minutes from museum de oro. I had a steel door on my room.

Employee brought his barking dog to work. Woke me up. The dog would not stop barking. A drunk man came in at 4 am loudly talking, lights on, door open. I had to get up and tell him to be quiet. He said he would go home??? I wondered why was he there if he lived somewhere else. Mistress? There was Scaffolding poles against the wall in the kitchen area. Homeless sleeping outside. No safe to put your valuables in. You must wear ear plugs, you can hear everything, people going to the bathroom, employees coughing. Simple plastic chairs y table on the roof which overlooked everyone else's roof. Breakfast was slices of white bread, milk, cereal, a banana, and the smallest portion of papaya i ever saw. The coffee was terrible, especially considering we were in Colombia, where coffee is famous for being delicious. I have been to over 20 hostals and this was the most disappointing. No plants, no art, no people, no love. Simply a crash pad for $38 usd. I should have paid $10 more and got a hotel. Usually I meet cool people in hostals, not this time.
