The place has a cute sort of quirky vibe and the staff are lovely. The beds are comfy and the food was perfect for me.

My room was very small with one window that faced the stairwell/ atrium.

Rooms were uncomfortable, beds were uncomfortable as well. It had a bunk bed, and the upper level didn’t had any security. Noise outside the room was quite audible. We didn’t slept well.

Besides breakfast was well prepared, the quantity isn’t enough. My suggestion is to pass breakfast to a buffet. Courtesy water should be given to all guests.

Nice small hotel. Helpful staff, good recommendations.

While it is a little out of the main part of the area, which means it's quieter, which is nice. But it is also a fairly steep uphill walk to get to the hotel at the end of the day.

This is a great location for exploring La Candelaria although it is at the top of a steep hill which should be born in mind. Breakfast in a pretty courtyard and there is a roof terrace

This is a very pretty and authentic hotel but rustic also. The hill is steep but this makes it a quiet location.

I really enjoyed this hotel with a classic feel in the classic part of town with so many nearby attractions and things to see and do. Very nice people running the facility and the custom breakfast. Every morning was amazing.

Location was OK - close to a lot of great restaurants and bars. And the price was very fair. The rooftop bar was also a nice surprise, even if there was no one there.

The block the hotel was on was a bit frightening. Another block lower and it would be have been less so. Based on the reviews, I also expected more and was a bit surprised when I got to the (locked) hotel door. The room was OK, though not terribly comfortable and you could hear a lot of noises from the public areas below (and the room above). Also surprisingly few outlets to plug in chargers.

The breakfasts were great. They have a great cook. Really nice interesting hotel. It was up a hill which was a bit difficult for me but we used uber a lot so that hill (at 8000 ft) wasn't too much of a problemCarlos was alway helpful as was the rest of the staff. Wifi was good and beds were comfortable.

We did get to experience a water conservation day (no water for the hotel) but again we adjusted. We could have used and extra pillow on the bed so we could prop up to read.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. The location is perfect for exploring the historic centre. Our daily breakfast was delicious and served in the lovely courtyard.

A minor observation, the shower head in our room delivered water at low pressure sometimes.

Love the building and the location. It's a 226 year old building , small like all buildings in La Candelaria historic area. Very quirky interior which you start liking more as days go by. The reception has a small cafe which serves drinks. Breakfast was in the terrace with a good view. They helped in calling cab for airport.

    Nothing in particular. Loved everything

One of the worst place we stayed in Colombia, we changed to this hotel as last minute and was a big mistake, no staff speaks English, they use that to their advantage they will not help with luggage and they will not tell that water in room will be charged, breakfast you have to order proper night and very very limited choices, it’s not that close to center as it’s 6 block uphill climb on way back, staff except Carlos is least to say not smart. Especially Vivian and Sharon be careful as they will try to take extra money from you. All and all it was a motel 6 experience and should not have stayed there

Carlos, he is nice understands English and will help whatever he can

I stayed with my mom and the place was great! A place full of history and with a perfect location if you are looking for something quiet, with a history touch and close to many iconic places of Bogotá near La Calendaria, including mount Montserrate. Oh, and the breakfast was also good and healthy! Some things to consider, the place overall is safe during the day but not suggested to be walking around at night, preferably use Uber or Taxi at nights. Just few suggestions for the hotel, WiFi was on and off a lot, so it was a bit of a hassle to have internet. And also, there are some rooms where you have to cross a hall and then go upstairs without roof, so if it is raining you might get a bit wet, would be great to have some kind of roof there.

Very basic breakfast, not big enough, bad juice with a lot of sugar

Facilities wasn't functioning well (no hot water in the shower most of the time, wifi was really bad, small basic room)

    9KattyPosted on: 2-23-2025

The staff were always so helpful and kind. The building is quirky and nicely designed. The breakfast was also great!

Because it's a rustic building, the walls are so thin and we could hear other guests throughout the building. But other guests were generally respectful and didn't cause too much disturbance.

    9JohnPosted on: 2-22-2025

Nice location on a quiet street but not far from the center of La Candelaria. Breakfasts were great although the winding staircase to the terrace was tight. Very quaint interior style with lots of books and crannies.

    No complaints!

    Well presered decor.

Very noisy. No outside light. Discrepancy with booking.com rate.

    Traditional building. Rooftop and breakfasts.

Reception and serving staff could have smiles a little
