Carayou Hotel & SPA

Great location with nice views. The hotel has its own beach wiht good beach chairs- although not a traditional sand beach. Breakfast was buffet style with a wide variety and was well stocked. Maintenance work was already underway, wich shows an effort to improve. After check out, we were allowed to use shower facilities later in the day before our evening flight, this was very well organized, with fresh towels provided.

The property needs noticealbe maintenance and updates. The beach is not a real beach - it's a grassy area with sand spread on top. Overflowing trash bins were seen around the hotel and not emptied regulary. We were required to wear wristbands if breakfast is included, which feels unnescessary and outdated.

New rooms are okay. Not precise made but okay.

No warm water in shower, especially in the evening. No wifi on room, Terrible breakfast, hotel except room dirty, construction materials left everywhere. Needs serious refurbishing

Nice location with views of Fort de France.

Problems with the air conditioning. Room smelt of mould and it was clearly visible on the white curtains. Over half of our travel group got sick with some sort of bug or food poisoning.

Breakfast was included and with an extra fee you can get lunch and dinner on property and they also have live entertainment at night.

Location is ok. Private beach Pools close really early. 6 pm

Air conditioning non working and condensate water on floor from HVAC and we need to change to an another room

Location is good and place definitely has potential.

Feels out dated. Breakfast was okay. Staff seemed stressed out. We had to wear a bracelet during our whole stay cause we had breakfast included. All my pictures in martinica have that bracelet showing up and my arm had its tan mark. It’s the 21st century…. There are better ways of controlling breakfast access that don’t include a hard piece of plastic that you are obligated to wear all the time.

long chairs also too noisy with the club program, the microphone, the staff inviting to much to do the program.. not find any hour of single peace there… always have to go outside the hotel finally and it’s not good not to be able to enjoy the hotel too

some chairs net are broken or you fall inside also most are not confortable for the back

The place is beautiful, green and clean

The building has a lot of issues… old furniture, old decoration old linens…

very, very worn down. My mattress felt like it hadn’t been updated in 20 years with a hole in the center. The entire property feels rundown circa 1975

The hotel is well located and close to the marina. It has a couple of swimming pools and a beach and overall the accommodation is very big.

This hotel needs complete refurbishment. It is very old and not well maintained. There are some places that are even dangerous to walk around. Food is not good quality, staff is not super nice and not that helpful. I would not go back unless they renew the facilities. It did not feel very secure as they warned you to close the door of the balcony and that they were not responsible of the items that could be stolen.
