Hotel Flamingo

Nice hotel, room was a bit basic but OK. Tv worked ok, internet was ok, bathroom was ok but sink was a bit blocked ( I reported this)Close to the central plaza and ok entry of shops and restaurants

Room decor was a bit bland, no view from room.

Was looking forward to the pool but was out of service, all the days we stayed the bathroom was flooded, I reported it and they came to clean but it was not nice to use the bathroom and stand on water from the sewerage. On our last day we did saw the septic cleaners come in to clean their septic tank. Location was good to get to the centro but it was always busy and noisy which was not ok to get a good sleep. I would not recommend staying there again. The a.c was also not working to cool the room, I sweat when I slept, if there could be a fan to circulate the a.c, it would be great.

I disliked that when the power went off the staff was useless at providing us with information or even advising anything they did such a terrible job when it came to communicate with us they had attitude I will not be going to the hotel and another thing no refund or part of the money spent was given to us because the current was not on so that was the worst hotel I've been to in Merida and would not recommend it either

The pool was ok

That booking has the child age at less than 17 while the hotel has it at less than 10. Had to pay extra for my child.

The front desk staff were great.

The AC is a bit too complicated to be used. I needed to speak to the front desk several times about this issue, but I was told how to fix it, and by the end, I enjoyed the AC.

The location.

It was all around dirty, the water smelled horrible, the bathroom smelled horrible. I never write reviews and I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world…the staff was extremely rude and judgemental. The pool had this weird fog look to it and I ended up with a rash on my arms and legs after I used it. Go somewhere else, if you can. Plenty of hotels in the same price range.

Could be cleaner, and the room was in need of some repairs. A closeth for clothes would also be appreciated

Really nice people , everyone was smiling, reception, cleaning crew, but my issue was ,the room , AC wasn't working very well ,and the bathroom , just really bad

The room was really big, the bed was comfy and we also hung out by the pool.

It wasn’t possible to open the blinds, which kinda leaves dark even thru the day time. Our room was towards the street, which made it really loud the night.

DO NOT get a room facing the street. It was so noisy. Didn’t get any sleep. Was only there one night otherwise I would have left or switched rooms.

Good location, walking distance to attractions, store and restaurants

The room is small and lighting was an issue as it seemed very dark. The indoor pool appeared unclean. On two occasions when we went out, upon trying to enter our room the key card didn't work. We had to get the key reprogramed twice. There was no sufficient bedding, just one sheet on the bed for us when housekeeping cleaned our room. May be we didn't tip the clean lady on those two days? The glass shower door was heavy and very difficult to slide open and close as the door was off the rollers or tracking system. Very tough for seniors to move the heavy glass door needed a lot of strength!

Location is perfect! Just 5 minutes from the Cathedral

The room! It had no windows and therefore humidity levels were way too high. You could also see that humidity problem on the walls. Dont come here if you have allergies like me. In addition there was a horrible smell coming out of the shower drain! Using the bathroom was definitely a bad experience.

The hotel is great. A great rate and friendly service for a nice clean room. The location is very central to the touristic part of Mérida so it's perfect.

The hotel is on a street where many buses pass and the noise is noticeable in the rooms.

Pool wasn’t available because of maintaince and besides that charges for the property remained the same. I think it was not fair. AC wasn’t working well, not cooling and leaking the whole time. We never knew about room cleaning services.
