Wyndham Merida

Upon arrival with confirmed booking was told they were full, had no room for me and sent me to another (inferior) hotel for 1 of 4 nights. I returned at my own taxi expense the next day for the remaining 3 nights of a non-refundable stay. No compensation.

I spoke to 4 Wyndham Merida representatives over 4 days and none were able to assist me with the fact that I paid at least one night for an inferior hotel room in an inferior location. I also paid for my own taxi to return to the Wyndham to complete stay.

STAFF.... is above and beyond. Never a problem allways smiling and making our stay very peasent. I have not been around the world but done a few so i will say the best in fhe world. Thank you wonderful people Thank you Wyndham Thank u Merida

Bathroom needs tender loving care and the internet sucks

Amazing staff, everyone was so helpful. We were able to get a late check-out time and help arranging transportation at a cheaper price than the hotel offered.

In a great location , quiet but only a short walk to Paseo Montejo , great , friendly staff . It's easy to get to know most of the staff by name

The only downside of the Hotel the pool and patio area is quite small and doesn't get the sun all day

The hotel was nice and met our needs! We were very happy overall and would stay again! We got our money's worth and staff was friendly!

Had to ask for our room to be cleaned I think maybe we just got skipped somehow but it was fine.

It is small enough that you can get to know the staff , and close to some of the main areas of Merida

Overall this was a pleasant experience. The “front desk” staff was outstanding and the location is good. The housekeeping staff was top notch. Our room was perfect every time we returned.

I wish the room had a refrigerator. It’s tough to not have any way to cool food or drinks. The balcony we had was very small - no room to sit down, and barely enough to stand.

The location was close to paseo Montejo.

When we first checked in, the staff checking us in didn’t even look up to greet us and just mumbled, “okay”. The second day, we had no water and when we got back to the hotel that night, the water coming out of the shower was brown. The third day, the restaurant service was terrible and took forever to serve us. We also went into their Starbucks and waited more than 10 minutes for someone to even come into the shop and take our order. The room in general did not feel clean, they did not sweep our rooms or clean the bathroom very well. The sheets and pillow covers felt and smelt humid and musty. Overall, the stay was terrible and for the price, I would not recommend it.

The breakfast was not good. Besides there was a construction going and very early in the morning there was a lot of banging noice just outside the room.

Staff at the restaurant were nice. Food was ok.

Room was noisy next ti the pool. Kids were screaming until late at night at the pool. There was no hot water in the shower. Cleanliness was also very poor and beds were very old.

Friendly staff

Room is very dark, we got mosquito bites everywhere because the rooms dont have mosquito net ; and when the housekeeping clean they leave the door open. We are a family of 4 took my mother my wife and my little 2 yr old daugther and they gave us room #125 with no view and nvery noisy due to the construction next to the property.Breakfast was bad , very little portions cold and overpriced.The artival the main drainage was blocked and there was a terrible smell at our artival.

The coffee maker didn't work. The TV worked but no cable.

The location is very good. Room service was tasty as well. Our shower door wouldn’t completely shut so it would get our bath mat very wet and that wasn’t very comfortable. Also, our plane arrived 1am and before departing I received the message that if we got there after 2:30am our reservation would get cancelled?! That was disappointing, fortunately we made it in time but does that mean that if there had been a delay we would’ve lost the reservation?! Receiving that message made me lower the score from 10 to 8.

The bed was comfortable and a good size.

There was unnecessary dirt dust and fallen foliage in common areas.

Very good location and Staff is very nice. Restaurant food is above average.

The hotel needs some remodeling, the rooms doors won't open properly(had to change 3 times in the ceck in because of it), rooms are outdated, they need to fumigate more as there are many cockroaches roaming, even inside rooms. Rooms amenities are very poor.

The maid forgot to clean my roomThe water presure was broken and the shower wasn't so good. They had some plumb problems.The waitress ask me to pay the tip in cash because the hotel never gives it to the staff.

The location was good because it is very close to the convention centre

The next property was under demolition and the machinery (jackhammer) was VERY noisy starting at 8:00 AM and lasting the whole day.The staff forgot to clean my room. When I complained about it nothing was really done to rectify it.
