Very central location. Parking on ground floor. Affordable.
This is clearly a very mediocre hotel attempting to portray a luxury feel. Most rooms have no windows and rooms, while clean, stink of cleaning detergent. There is no ventilation in the bathrooms and the common areas (hallways, rooftop etc.) appear run down.
The location is amazing! Good parking.
Room was too dark and dated. Didn’t look very clean.
LocationThe restaurant for breakfast is really good
Check in was slow and seems disorganized. Staff are not friendly. The room did not have a exterior window, was like staying in a cave
Great location and good breakfast.
No A/C in the restroom.
Location is amazing. Also, the restaurant is quite good.
Bathroom could be cleaner
Location is good and free parking available
Only cold showers for both 2 days of our stayNo window in the room (one small window that was closed off with wood from outside)
The place is nice. It’s located in a nice area with nice restaurants.
Talking about the facilities, the bathroom didn’t have a window and the room had a weird smell similar to drainage.
Great location, walking distance to every where. Beautiful view from the rooftop, big restaurant ,we didn't eat there. Room services every day the lady who cleaned the room did a great job, thank you Maybis for all your hard job.
I did not like the cleanest of the room, there was hair and sand in the bathroom when we get in the room I had to pick it up with toilet paper, the shower filled up with water when we took a bath, carpet in the hallways are old with big mark of stains.
The room was clean and comfortable. The cleaning service was very efficient. The hotel is well situated and safe, easy for night walking.
Even though the hotel is well placed there are certain issues about the hotel staff and some of its amenities. First there is a receptionist who is very serious and isn't very helpful. He seems to not enjoy his work and is sometimes rude with the customers. Some rooms seem to have a problem with water. In room 114 and room 136 the water pressure is very low, and we had to inform the staff about it all the time. Sometimes the water was only a trickle. In room 114 the shower floor leaked water and all the bathroom was filled with water after someone bathed. The toilet also had trouble flushing. Maintenance had to be called a couple of times. After a while we were asked to move rooms because they couldn't fix the problem right away. On the last day we were told to leave sooner because the room had already been booked and we had to leave before the checkout time. The outside floors of the lobby were also very dirty with napkins and certain stuff lying about.
Location
They ran out of water and energy!!In the morning they said they wouldn’t make any reimbursement because it wasn’t their fault.
The breakfast was marvellous
1. I was made to sign the hotel policies which was in Spanish and no English and no staffs could translate what were the policies about.2. AC in room not working , i have had to clear the filters myself, which seems to have never been cleaned since installation.3. bathroom flooring not inclined towards water drainage, all water being accumulated on one side of the bathroom.4. droplets of water is coming from the shower taking ages to bath. Out of the 64 water jets from the shower head, only 12 is projecting water.5. bathroom not cleaned properly, signs of soap still on wall.6. small bottle of 50ml of shower gel for 2 adults 7. No welcoming, guests left on their own8. Cherry on the cake; no electricity the next morning, no water to bath, no AC, toilet out of use 9. Lack cleanliness
Location was great walking distance to every thing . Locación excelente cerca de todos los restaurantes i tiendas
The only thing we didn’t like one was no windows we stay two nights and in different rooms and no windows so we didn’t know if it was day or night and the toilet was clog and the shower too
The location is good as you are in the heart of downtown Merida, but has its drawbacks (traffic for example). Room was big and good view to Paseo Montejo. Bed was comfortable.
First thing is staff was not knowledgeable of the property, we were on the 3rd floor and the elevator showed floors 1, 2 and 4, no 3. We had to go up the stairs with all our bags as no one was sure if the elevator would stop on the 3rd floor (which it did, but staff made us hesitate).Second, was the bathroom was not clean. There were hairs in the toilet and toothpaste in the bathroom mirror. Third, we stayed over the weekend and there was a "planned" power outage on Saturday from 11 to 1pm, which we only knew about because we were asking the receptionist something else. No advance notice, so we had to change our plans so we could leave and come back before/after the outage.Fourth, going back to the bathroom, the shower floor was not properly leveled so it was all flooded after showering, water did not go down the drain. Then to make things worse, the toilet started leaking to a point where it was flooding the bathroom and we had run to get the maintenance staff to fix it.Fifth, the icing on the cake was on our last day, Sunday, we were woken up at 5am by VERY loud music coming from a speaker system in Paseo Montejo. Apparently, the 1st weekend of every month, there is a bike race and people setting things up decided to blast music and wake everyone up, not the hotels fault, but again, no advance notice. It would have been nice to have been told before hand to take precautions. I had to go down myself and ask the race staff to turn the music down.
Location
Minor issues within the room's bathroom . The shower area floor very dangerous. Had to weat candles to keep from slipping. Toilet refill was inconsistent and you had to wait to flush the toilet. The drainage sloping in the shower area caused the water to flow out into the general bathroom area. We reported it and was told they probably would not get to it during our stay. They put extra towels on the floor to manage it.Despite that we enjoyed our stay.
The location was perfectly situated at the beginning of Paseo Montejo which made easy access to what the Paseo had to offer.
When we arrived, the receptionist seemed to be in a bad mood. He wasn't friendly and made errors in our check in. We reserved 2 rooms, and he said that rooms facing the Paseo were all booked and then he got us room that was already occupied by another family and then mysteriously a room with a window viewing the Paseo was found.
Location, Cleanliness, Price, but above all one of the best Breakfast
The Room Location 208 right in front of the restaurant therefore it was noisy and it did not had windows at all, also the way the bathroom was designed is unbelievable
Nice room and great location. Pool has a beautiful view.
Got a room with view to a hallway so it was dark.
