Pros +
- Great location, incredibly kind staff. Felt secluded and private.
- beautifully renovated so as to preserve charm but provide modern comforts and conveniences. friendly and helpful staff. ideal location between plaza grande and paseo montejo
- An oasis in the center of Merida, with beautiful decoration and stunning patios and pools. Close to many restaurants and the city highlights. The room we booked was very spacious and overlooking the pool. The bed was confortable except for the sheets that were not soft. The staff was very nice, attentive and quite reactive.
Cons -
- The bathroom needs some renovation: the shower head does not work very well and it is rusty. You also struggle to get the right temperature. There was one tap that was leaking and the cold water pressure is very weak. The bed linen were not soft and a bit too used. These might be details but for the price, you would not expect this.
- The first room they gave us was lovely, except it had dead cockaroaches laying around the floor. The staff member informed us that they spray RAID or a pesticide after every cleaning, which I am highly allergic to. We had to move rooms, and they gave us a very beautiful suite, except , after we returned from dinner we found that the air conditioning did not work, Mérida has temperatures of 100F. Or 35 C sometimes, so this was a disaster. They had to move us again, to a small room downstairs, at 8pm at night. They had the AC technician come the next day to fix the AC, so we moved back into that room at about 5 pm. We had to move 4x in 2 days. It was very difficult. ? . Needless to say we checked out 1 day early, as they wanted us to move into yet another room , due to unavailability in present room. When I addressed this issue with the owner, I asked for a discount because of this situation. He told me, that I did not know how to use the AC, and that it was our fault. His own employee Alberth, came up to our room, that night to try and fix the AC, but could not. He tried for a half hour, then moved us. I know for a fact a technician to come in, and repair the air conditioning. Owner was yelling at us, and very unpleasant, we were denied a discount, when my wife told her sister on the phone, that we would leave a review. The hotel itself is okay, mattresses are hard, the floors are polished cement and very slippery. Pillows are like lumps of potatoes, hard to sleep on. Pools are not well maintained , and floors very slippery. Pool towels are like dish rags. It’s a shame because the employees are very nice, and truly tried to help, but overall it was bad service…for a overpriced hotel. Truly it was a difficult stay, since my wife has a injured knee and had to walk up and down flights of stairs., many times. Also there is a bar or restaurant next door that plays loud music.

The massages are excellent, especially Lupita, ask for her. Employees were wonderful, especially Armando, and Alberto. They really tried to help us, and apologized profusely for every thing. The mgr/ oiwner was very unpleasant, and hard to deal with. Grounds are very pretty, nice to have 3 pools. Location was good, close to town.,

The location is excellent, as it’s possible to walk to the central square. The hotel and room decor are exceptional. The parking is not at the hotel, but it's very close.
The Wi-Fi in the room was very weak.
The three pools were lovely. The staff was amazing! They were very friendly and had great recommendations. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We even had an outdoor area. The room was quiet and walkable to many sights, restaurants ad shops.
Everything was great!
The hotel was excellent as a haven from the busy street outside. The hotel location worked for us as it was close to the old city centre and many good eating places.
The hotel is located next to an entertainment venue which plays music at extremely high volume in the garden adjacent to the hotel and is particularly intrusive at weekends.
Beautiful property - lovely pool, attentive staff
Breakfast and bar was a little limited
gorgeous buildings, very kind staff, perfect location, pools, nearby parking, unique art, an oasis of peace, large room with patio and very private. They setup a crib for us as well and let us stay a bit late with our baby.
would have loved more robust food options, but plenty nearby. AC was not super strong, but we were in a heatwave. Not much negative to say
- really nice interior. It is a really beautiful hacienda, nicely decorated- practical location close to a lot of nice restaurants- helpful personnel- has a free parking spot just 200m from the property which comes very handy
Maybe the only thing I would mention is the loud music from the bar next door, which kept on playing music well after midnight. Not a big bother though if you have ear plugs.

No refrigerator in roomClose to nightclub that was loud late into the night.Ordinary breakfasts
The location was great! We were able to walk everywhere which was nice. Uber was also available for places a little further away. Many fantastic restaurants near by. Check out Bacchas wine bar next door. Great Italian food and good selection of wines.
It was a little overpriced.
Its charm, its design, spaciousness, location, our little balcony with a tree hanging above it.The beds were comfortable, linens and towels clean.
The mediocre breakfast, the indifference of some of the staff, lack of the refrigerator in the rooms, only 3 little bottles of water for two people.
Lovely, friendly people, beautiful hotel, location can't be beaten.
Arriving at the hotel and finding parking can be a little stressful, but the welcome is very warm
Traditional building with character
Noisy bedroom from machinery and nearby Cuban nightclub, no telephone in room so requests involved a trip down to reception every time.
The property is central and you can walk to many areas. The staff is incredibly friendly and rooms are spacious. We were updated about events at the square each day
Wonderful spacious room in a beautiful colonial building . The staff were exceptional - sorted out our laundry and booked our trip to Chichen Itza
Stunning building - ceilings are 200 years old. The results of the renovation is impressive. Feels like a Luxurious leap in the past with all the comfort of modern day facilities. Isaac welcomed us in the evening after a long day travelling :) we missed the massage but we will be back next yearFor sure !!!
The location, the ambience and the hotel stuff. It's a peaceful oasis in the heart of Merida with nice ambience. During our stay we encounter a health issue and the hotel stuff was very helpful and attentive.
The pool was not very clean.
The rooms were huge and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. The property is large, too.
The drain in the sink and shower needed to be snaked as it was not draining properly. The bathroom was also decorated like it was unfinished (it was finished).
