Smart TV is hard to use

A bit tired. Based on the reviews and the photos .. I expected more. I was not amazed by the breakfast. It was basic. The room was good - maybe better than average. We did have a room issue and had to change rooms at 1AM. It was handled efficiently. Would I return? The location is excellent; however, I might look at different options. As a suggestion to the owners — the property is tired. Perhaps some maintenance?

The location is good and close to downtown. Breakfast was simple but good

We didn't have water during the first day, and no hot water during the WHOLE stay. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel, it is barely a 3 stars hotel.Maintenance is basic and service is slow.

Clean and quite place, bedroom very comfortable

Hotel charged me extra 25% representing the commission fee of Booking. It’s the only hotel that charged back the 25% commission to its guests in my years of using Booking. Hotel didn’t accept advance payment. I paid upon checked in, insisting me to pay extra 25%.

Location was great!

There was no refrigerator in the room. The air conditioner dripped water over our things. One morning there we had to wait for a gas delivery for our breakfast to be made.

There was no shower gel in container. And toothbrush apparently is not available even by request. The breakfast could be a little better.

Our room off the main lobby was spacious and charmingly authentic/old-fashioned. High ceilings with A/C & ceiling fan helped with the heat. The small pool is always in the shade and was actually quite cold, probably warmer in summer. We were there in February.

The water pressure in the shower was not much more than a dribble and required about 6/8 minutes to get shampoo and a little conditioner out of my chin-length hair. A friend was staying in one of the other, newer rooms, so after the first day, we used his perfectly functioning hot shower instead of our own. It’s hot in Mérida, so showers are frequent. Also, the lighting was very dim in our room unless we opened the doors or large wooden shutters, which had no screens.

No breakfast at the hotel, I thought the room was a great in space but a bit noisy from the outside traffic, particularly in the morning. Also, The walls seemed a little old and moldy.

Big room, two large double beds. We were both sick and so it was perfect for rest. Sheets were great too and pillows.

Toilet was too close to shower room door when you opened it. You sort of had to squeeze past it to get in. Pool water looked very grubby. Didn’t go in.

Beautiful bedroom.Think it was a deluxe room.Nice bedlinen and great housekeeping.Good to have a fridge in room.Parking down the road in a secured location at night.

I had a king room. The water pressure in the basin and shower was low.

Great location, very walkable. Rooms modern, clean and quiet. Nice pool area gets mid day sun, a couple of sun loungers poolside

Coffee available or coffee makers would be nice!

They told me they accepted dogs but when I got there, they told me they couldn't so I had to find another hotel. I asked to use their wifi to book another hotel but their wifi signal was too weak. I asked them to call Hotel Los Aluxes to book for me but they didn't know how to look up the number. We ended up walking to a restaurant and I was able to use the wifi there and book at a different hotel

great location, close to Plaza Grande and very safe

to get to the bathroom you have to climb narrow stairs and at night it can get a little difficult

This property is not 4 star maybe 2… the staff are not helpful or trained.. the pictures don’t do justice the pool is tiny can’t swim and does not get much sun, the loungers are very very uncomfortable … the rooms are spacious but the musty smell and damp was not good for me as I was recovering from chest infection so after 2 nights I spoke to reception and they did not refund any of my money nor would they sign a paper saying that I left the hotel. I checked in to a Marriott courtyard…due to false advertising breakfast was in another hotel which reminded me of a prison awful is not a word to describe this.. again misleading….i still trying to get my money back must just say booking have not replied to my email and phoning them got cut off before even speaking to anyone will try when we get back …..

Location is good. We were in room 203 & shower spout needs fixing, light above wash basin not working. Check in staff Ruth was exceptionally helpful. Check out staff Jose was very ordinary compared to Ruth.

Nice style, good location, friendly people

No hot water. Really dreaded waking up in the morning there. Also really wish there was some coffee, or way to make coffee.

Excellent facility and perfect location to explore the city on foot. Secure parking for our rental was a bonus.
