Suites Plaza del Rio - Family Hotel Malecón Centro

The location is Awsome! Just 3 blocks from the Malacon. Large selection of restaurants with in walking distance.The cleaning ladies were very nice. There is nowhere in PV we could have stayed for their nightly rate.

I had a little bit of a problem communicating with the desk receptionist. I was told it was the second oldest hotel in PV, so be prepared for old.

It's right in down town close to everything, the right size for my family.

they should have dish soup if you want us to clean the dishes and dish cloths, every person that stays there has to buy one. The beds are super hard. no parking what so ever.

Location is great

Extremely uncomfortable, hard bed.Room smelt weird upon arrival. Wifi was unusable in the bedroom.Charged 350 pesos for a large blue stain that was present on all sheets not made by us.

The staff was wonderful.

The hotel was very noisy both during the day and at night. Though the bed was acceptably comfortable, the furniture in the living area was very uncomfortable. And the lighting made the room feel dingy. It was not a pleasant environment. There were lots of problems like plugged drains, hot water taps that didn’t work. There was only air conditioning in the bedroom so during the day when you couldn’t have the door open because of the noise, it got very stuffy. I really wanted to like the place because it was a Mexican family run hotel. But it was just too noisy and uncomfortable.

Location is excellent and a nice relaxing environment

The bed was very hard and as the rooms are separate they need a/c in the living room not just the bedroom.

I left 3 days early and rather than return my damage deposit to my credit card they charged me an additional $78.75 rather than return the actual deposit of $38.73.

We felt we were staying long enough that our request to change rooms should have been accommodated. The folks going into the room we wanted hadn’t checked in yet and were leaving before us. Our room, the one we were staying in, could have been the one people checked in and out of.

We booked a suite which consisted of two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. We were looking for a quick, inexpensive weekend trip so we booked at this hotel It was perfect for our needs. The location was within walking distance of the Malecon and the downtown Zona Romantica. If you are looking for a traditional Mexican hotel experience at a good rate with a good location, this hotel should do it.

Not much not to like when you set your expectations properly. You get what you pay for and this is all we needed on this trip. I would stay here again in the future.

No Breakfast. Location was ok.

One of the young staff girl was kind of rude. Sliding door was broken wouldn't lock I asked front desk to please send someone to fix bc I didn't feel safe and her response was maintenance had already left for the day. I had to take a chair and tried blocking sliding door to secure it. Anyone could jump the balcony and go right in our room. Asked 3X's for an extra blanket and was never brought up to the room. Beds are not that comfortable. Cleaning lady however did a great job at cleaning. Let me add that I was charged almost $7.00 for a towel that was slightly stained. Towel was stiff and old and I had to pay or they would have kept my $500.00= ($28.73) pesos - deposit. Honestly very disappointed at this hotel.

The location, quiet, friendly staff. Beds are super spacious and comfortable. Bathrooms were stand up showers and hot water was instant. A/C in both rooms.

The kitchen/living room didn’t have A/C which was not pleasant going to your room that is air conditioned then going out to straight heat. Also there’s was a scent of cigar once in a while which was not pleasant

The staff is friendly, great room amenities and comfortable.

Location and spaciousness of the rooms. The roof pool area is beautiful and the kindness of the staff. Rocio and Sara are the best!

NOISE!!!! Rooms have jalousie windows opening up into a tiled courtyard. The effect amplifies noises from the halls into the rooms. Staff contnually make noise that go into rooms even after being asked to be quiet. Also, the hotel appears to cater to smokers. Guests chsin smoke in the rooms but leave doors to the hallway open so that noise/smoke goes everywhere. Room gets little natural light.
